this is my second season using Champkey midsize, hard to beat them for the price, can replace them each season and it doesn't hurt the wallet as much as the Golf Pride does. Good review thanks!
Have been considering re-gripping, watched intently your very informative video. After review have decided to purchase the Champkey midsize and look forward to trying them out. thanks for keeping this real and simple.
I regripped a set of Tommy Armor 845 Silver Scott's with some Champkey grips. They all went on super easy and held up really well. The rubber is definitely hard and can lead some some blistering if you have a long range session. But otherwise, they are good grips. Even if they're a little wet, they maintain their grip really well.
I'm glad this came up in my suggestions again, because it reminded me of the time, after watching this video, where I bought some Champkey grips off Amazon and fitted them. A few months later I went to trade the iron in, and they knocked my price down heavily because they'd @Never heard of the grips and couldn't sell the irons for the price they wanted" - After that, I never used anything other than Golf Pride from a pro shop.
I just pulled the bag out of the closet after 15 years, found I just could not hit the short irons any longer as they caused back pain, I found the shortest club I could hit comfortably it turned out to be the 6 iron, so out with the old grips and in with the new along with lengthening all the irons by 1.5 inches, and oversize less taper grips, so my "new" set of clubs cost $65 and my back does not hurt now, also first shot with 9 iron hit the pin... still much to fix but your review helped me decide on the Champkey grips and my 70 year old back thanks you so very much, an amazing amount of good info in your posts, thanks again!
Excellent review, I used to make clubs years ago, started playing again, and all my suppliers were gone. Just bought Amazon grip set,the champkey brand. Thanks!
Hello from Mexico. Great comments about your first impressions about unknown grips in the market. The smell thing is new for me Very interested in trying the Champkey midsize. Nice color also. All the luck for your channel. Gracias amigo
I picked up the Champkey Midsize MCC grips last year and put them on all my irons. They are awesome. My new clubs have Golf Prides and I can tell a difference between them. If/when these Golf Pride grips wear out, I'll definitely go with the Champkeys again.
I live in Thailand Thailand so not looking to get the grips. Just wanted to say that this was an awesome video. I have watched other videos from you and enjoyed them but felt I should comment on this one. Please keep them coming.
I am interested in the mid size grips. After weighing them I would sort them by weight, then put the heaviest grip on the shortest club, the next heaviest on the next shortest club, etc.
Thanks much for your review of the grips. I just bought some used irons that need regripping. I am retired and can't spend a whole lot of money on grips, hence the used clubs. Midsized or large grips would probably fit me. Either way, win or not I'll probably get grips from Amazon so I really appreciate you taking the time to review the grips.
I’ve used the Champkey grips for a couple of years now and it appears their going last longer than the more expensive brands. They are a bit rougher on the hand. Thank you for your review.
I also bought a 13 pack of CHAMPKEY grips and regripped my clubs May 2022. They seem to be holding up well. Had TAYLORMADE put them on after reshafting my clubs from steel to graphite. Costed less than 19.99 for the pack, and I would buy them again.
Man, I've learn so much since I've started watching your channel. Like any hobby or craft, it's hard to find good info in a proverbial ocean of nonsense. So, thank you for that. And if I get chosen, standard size. I switched back this year after realizing how much the midsize was hurting my game.
Just bought a set of Champkey grips with the installation kit and installed them on my sons clubs. It was my first attempt at installing golf grips and after watching several videos it went well and they looked and felt great. The quality of the grip for the price was very good.
I use the midsize Karma...good grip...I just regripped a set of Hogans and the cost for 13 grips was less than $20 and free shipping...ya can't beat it.
I watched this video and after a couple of days I went online and bought a set. I’ve just started playing golf so bought some old clubs and fitted new grips myself. Very satisfying. Thanks for this content
I have a couple of the Champkey midsize grips on a couple of clubs and really like them. I would love to finish out the set. Thanks so much and keep up the awesome work.
Thanks for all great knowledge you put out there. I have so much more confidence to do the work myself now. The midsize champkey would look great on my new Dynacraft irons.
Thank you for the review sure helps me decide on what to buy at a great price compared to premium brands. I appreciate your helping us viewers and willing to give away your new grips. I have bigger hands and in need of the medium size you are giving away because mine are worn and in need of replacing. Again, thank you for you content and help!
AJ I've used the blue style but in red n black and found they ran small which in turn I had to add extra tape but for the price they performed well, but would be interested in the Grey brand. Keep the videos coming like your content oh and saw Wesley B using the 2 new irons you made for him.
I bought some Saplize Midsize grips and changed my grips for the first time by myself last month!! I am satisfied with them. And my kit came with a hook knife, solution and a clamp as well.
@@EFGMC I will definitely change my grips by myself from now on!! And since I live in Germany I think it is more expensive anyways here. And I paid 56€ for the whole kit.
I have been hoping for someone to do a comparison video of the Champkey and Saplize grips. Great video! If lucky enough to be chosen, I would very much like to try the Saplize grips. Keep up the great work.
I sweat a lot in the summer and I use the Dri-Tac version from Champkey (traction X). I change grips almost every season on my clubs whether big name or economical brands. The only big difference I see is in the rubber material. It doesn't seem to last as long as the Dri Tac but performance wise I cant tell a huge difference in them. One thing I did notice is that the solvent I use seems to take a bit longer to dry on the Champkey version. Probably just a difference in the quality of the rubber. I believe that it absorbs more of the solvent than quality grips from the big makers. My guess is the rubber they use is a little more porous. But I cant swear to that as a fact. But overall, they really are a good value. I dont weight grips like you do but that was interesting to see they are pretty consistent. Thanks for the video.
I use the champ key jumbo pistol putter grip. The pro shop wanted £12 for a standard putter grip fitted, that I found online for £3.25. I ordered the jumbo champkey putter grip and fitted it on, I used to work in a pro shop in my teen years doing regripping and working the tills, so regripping from taking the old off to completely fitted took me less than 3 minutes
Appreciate your video. I'll be new at re-gripping my clubs. A golf club rep informed me that I should be using a mid size grip. If I have a chance at your grip giveaway I would chose the mid size. Thanks for great review and tips
Thanks for sharing this very informative review! I would love for the chance to be able to use the Champkey midsize grips. Thanks again for the videos and keep up the hard work, it's greatly appreciated.
I have been wanting to try champke midsized grips. I will take them to a pro shop for instalation. I don't have the confidence to do it myself.the free bee will help me save some retirement money. Awesome video thank you.
I just regripped with the mid size ChampKey. They are Chinese made where Golf Pride are now made in Taiwan and Thailand, but the ChapKey are very affordable. We'll see long term, but short term I am very happy with the Amazon buy.
Really enjoyed this video Thank you so much for this info as I have just started regripping clubs as a hobby for friends and family to help save them money. I have done about 300 grips so far. Midsized would be nice.lol
Yup, thanks for the review, I’m in the process of upgrading my grips and would like to be considered for the grips “Champkey” by your account sounds like the choice for me. Go well, cheers, Harold Hendricks, New Zealand
I’m new to gripping my own clubs, you and your videos have been a great help! Thank You If I was one of the lucky winners, I would like Champkey midsize
Hi great video love watching your stuff im instead in the mid size grip as looking to go up from standard as im a large size glove but whant to spend lote of money on grips as dont no if it will change my game so would love to experiment with some many tbanks keep up the amazing videos
I've gotten the chapter grips before. I like them. They were good enough when played about once a month. And are great if you don't have the funds to buy all new golf prides. But now that I play more I go golf pride when I can. But I recommend the champkey if I notice any of my buddies needing new grips.
Ive been using the midsize mcc plus 4 Golf Pride grips off a seller on Ebay and can honestly say there is no difference in quality maybe i struck lucky but when i questioned the seller on authenticity he replied "rest assured factory oem" ..third year in and absolutely no wear ,i think at the very worse they are seconds with minor flaws ,but darned if i can find it, they even all weigh identicle... think i may just buy a few packs.
Just did my first attempt putting on a grip on my putter with oversized. Next will be doing larger grips on my irons, nice getting information on off brand names, thanks. I would be interested in the mid size.
They both come in higher and lower quality. I use Champkey since I change grips every year and keep it at a reasonable price. I also like that you can get their thicker grips in standard grip weight.
Great review. I've always wondered if there is a big difference between brand name and off label grips. Great timing for me with you're review. I'm about to change out all my grips and am trying to decide what direction to go. l play with midsize, Thanks again!
Just picked up a set of used Mizuno MP-57 irons that just had Champkey midsize grips put on all of them but the 3 iron. Not sure why. Will have to pick up a Golf Pride match. Don't need to buy 13 for one iron. Looking forward to seeing how the Champkey hold up. They feel good. Another great video on things everyone wants to really know. Thanks AJ!
Just changed to ChampKey Mid-size, their version of the DriTac. Really like them, HOWEVER, they were slick the 1st time out. Learned since to wipe them down with Acetone before use to remove the residue that causes the issue.
Just bought the oversize champkey grips for 59 bucks. Got the 13 grips, 17 two sided tape, solvent, knife, rubber vise. Smell like rubber, put 12 on and have one round with them, not bad for the price.
this is my second season using Champkey midsize, hard to beat them for the price, can replace them each season and it doesn't hurt the wallet as much as the Golf Pride does. Good review thanks!

Great grip. I just got some too!

Just got some Champky grips glad to see that you viewed them and happy with the results. Thanks
I wonder how is it you don't have that many subscribers considering the quality of reviews your doing. Bravo
I appreciate it. I just keep moving forward. I think plenty of RUclipsrs are buying subs vs earning them. We earn ours here even if it takes longer.
I play the Champkey Traction X midsize grips and love them. They are similar to my favorite GP Cp2 pro midsize. Great review 💪🏽👍🏽
how are they holding up?
Thanks man, great video! Going to get myself some Champkey to give my old irons some new life for my brother-in-law now that I got a new fitted set.
Excellent review, I used to make clubs years ago, started playing again, and all my suppliers were gone. Just bought Amazon grip set,the champkey brand. Thanks!

That is comforting. I just ordered some of these midsize, looking forward to seeing how they feel.

I appreciate it John. Thanks for the support!
Thanks for this! These videos should do amazing. The questions we all ask ourselves.
Very helpful video. I was going to Golf Galaxy tomorrow, but definitely going with DIY Champkey mid size. Thank you!
Very nice review! I have been looking at the Champkey grips and the Saplize. You have made my decision easier now, thankyou!
Great review thank you, just ordered some new grips in the black Friday event and this video was timed perfectly for me. Thank you

Great review. Once again, a straightforward clear narration. I'm enjoying your channel. Thank you!
Thanks for the support! I think I am going to start more reviews as they seem popular.

perfect timing- just started looking for new regular size grips!
Just bought a set of Champkey grips with the installation kit and installed them on my sons clubs. It was my first attempt at installing golf grips and after watching several videos it went well and they looked and felt great. The quality of the grip for the price was very good.
Nice work, the cost issue always made me delay regripping way roo long. You and Amazon have soled that problem. Thank you
I use the midsize Karma...good grip...I just regripped a set of Hogans and the cost for 13 grips was less than $20 and free shipping...ya can't beat it.
I watched this video and after a couple of days I went online and bought a set. I’ve just started playing golf so bought some old clubs and fitted new grips myself. Very satisfying. Thanks for this content
Love hearing that.
Those midsize Champkeys look great! Thanks for the review. Opened my eyes to some better grips for less!
Enjoyed video weight not an issue when attached to rod/club. Looking forward to additional videos
all my irons have amazon grips on them, Champky midsize grips, they work brilliant for me.
great review , AJ, changing to midsize next year, so timing is great for these grips
Love the Champkey midsize! Glad to see I’m not alone. Keep up the good content!
Great review and I use the midsize. I missed these grips on Amazon somehow. Thank you!

I put the SAPLIZE midsize grey grips on my Mizuno 850 HD irons. Much better than the the Dri-tacs I had on, and cheaper than Golf Pride. I love em!
Thanks for the comparison. I use the midsize grips
I bought some Saplize Midsize grips and changed my grips for the first time by myself last month!! I am satisfied with them. And my kit came with a hook knife, solution and a clamp as well.
It gets a bit confusing which sets come with what extras. Sometimes it seems like different colors have the knife and clamp with them.
@@EFGMC I will definitely change my grips by myself from now on!! And since I live in Germany I think it is more expensive anyways here. And I paid 56€ for the whole kit.
I have been hoping for someone to do a comparison video of the Champkey and Saplize grips. Great video!

Thanks for watching!
The range at Heritage! When I lived in Dunwoody I visited there numerous times.
Hard to find a better range!
I just installed the Champkey midsized grips on my clubs about 4 weeks ago. They feel very good. Worth the money.
excellent review the Champkey midsize might help with my grip love the low price
Lots of information. Thanks for all your help.

Good review, I am going to try the champ key, many thanks.

good video, I'm a golf pride and a jumbomax user but would definitely give the Champkey grips a try.
Great review, AJ. I've used Karma grips for a few years and they work pretty well as a budget priced grip. I'd love to try the Champkey Midsize grips.
Replaced my grips with champkeys 4 months ago and have no issues with them. I would definitely recommend them.

Just did my first attempt putting on a grip on my putter with oversized. Next will be doing larger grips on my irons, nice getting information on off brand names, thanks. I would be interested in the mid size.
The putter is usually the hardest one. After that the irons should be pretty smooth.
I have been looking at and would like the mis size grips. I like how that set has everything you need to change grip
I play champkey midsize and really like them. I would be interested in the midsize champkey grips.
Great channel, great content
Good review. Currently using standard Champkey grips and have been thinking of trying the midsize. Great grip for the money.
Agree. Thanks for watching!

Those Champkey's were really solid for the price.
Great review makes a change for some honesty
Would love the midsize 👍
I really need some new grips! Trying to decide to pay for premium or value . You have helped me decide. Thanks!
Just picked up a set of used Mizuno MP-57 irons that just had Champkey midsize grips put on all of them but the 3 iron. Not sure why. Will have to pick up a Golf Pride match. Love the review. Looking at these same grips on Amazon. I love to try the champkey grips. I need new grips for my clubs.
Great info, would like the midsize grips.
I have always thought about trying Midsize. Thanks for the review ✌🏻
Good info. I'd take the standard size if I had a choice. Thanks for the video. Jason
I had those Saplize multicompound that came on a set of Nike NDS irons. Good enough in my opinion.
Very interested in trying the mid size grips. I change grips every season so always good to try to save money! Awesome consumer review!
I am interested in the Champkey grips...thanks for the review!
Thanks for the review, I try the Amazon champkey mid size grips next time.
I enjoyed your review, I’m very interested in the standard size grips. Thank you.🏌🏼🏌🏼
Great review. I’m interested in the midsize
Just changed to ChampKey Mid-size, their version of the DriTac. Really like them, HOWEVER, they were slick the 1st time out. Learned since to wipe them down with Acetone before use to remove the residue that causes the issue.
They are slick, I bought tacky spray but didn’t work so well. I’ll have to try the acetone.
I have enjoyed using the kingrasp grips in both standard and midsize rubber 3 n 1 design that I have bought from Amazon.
I like the mid size grips. It is nice how they come with everything you need to install them
Very impressed with the review I like the standard grips
Great review! I am interested in the the midsize grips.
Just bought the oversize champkey grips for 59 bucks. Got the 13 grips, 17 two sided tape, solvent, knife, rubber vise. Smell like rubber, put 12 on and have one round with them, not bad for the price.
Nice review! I really like the midsize grip. Thank you for your review.
Thanks for watching!
Great video & extremely informative!
Very Interesting and thank you so much for the detailed information very useful
Hi AJ, interesting post. I’d think I’d like the medium grips - Champ Key would be nice.
