So far I have understood the concept of forgiveness it clearly means to unload the burden of any kind of negative emotion from our inner self against the wrongdoer, but it doesn't mean to accept the abuse or the abuser, otherwise no battle of Kurukshetra would have continued once after Arjun surrendered to fight against his own family, and no Bhagavat Geeta would ever prevail...sometimes it becomes very essential to take action against someone we know and also know that whatever they are doing are definitely not supposed to be done, since it's against humanity, it's against morality, it's always not equally important that how far we can suffer but many a time it's more essential that what'll be the impact of such actions on others as well on the later coming days...thank you for this informative video!

Same happened with me mam. Love bombing se domestic violence. And i am still facing this. Even he didn't spare me during my pregnancy and I landed in miscarriage. Even after my miscarriage he abused me and my family and blamed my age for it. I didn't understand till now that he is mentally ill. Was hoping some day my devotion and love will change hum. Even his family members knew about it but they hid it from me. He went into depression in past before our marriage due to break ups and layoffs. Even when I came to live with him usa , he was taking secretively depression tablets prescribed to him by his family doctor. And now I am in a hell situation. Stuck from all sides. What should i do now. I don't want my Marriage to break. But what is right for me. I am going through a lot each day

Try practicing vipassna meditation. Their are many centres In india. It runs on donations. Please try and heal yourself. Detachment is very important in these cases. Do courses and seva. Keep yourself busy like that.

@@lifecoachamitadevnani Not true at all. If it were that simple, we wouldn't be sitting here discussing this so extensively and survivors wouldn't be constantly suffering or in fear for their lives. It's a condition for which there is no cure. Narcs and their behavior can't be corrected since they don't acknowledge that the problem lies with them. They're delusional and perpetually in denial mode, blaming others for their wrongdoings. Therefore, to say that they can be made to understand anything through counseling is not just laughable but outright dangerous. In therapy, the narc will end up learning how to better cover their tracks and to better hide their true inner selves.
Narcs are often able to connivingly reverse roles and convince the therapist that the victim is the perpetrator.
Where therapy can help, is teaching the survivor to be cognizant of the tactics they use to manipulate and control others and to teach them coping mechanisms to somewhat manage the onslaught of abuse they're facing.
