    On Running is getting good! The Cloudsurfer has been a joy to run in over the first 100 miles. It's lightweight, soft, snappy and very versatile. I feel like it could go head to head with any shoe in the lightweight daily trainer category. If you have a pair, let me know in the comments what you think of them.

    Great review. You touched on this but yeah I'm worried about longevity of the cushioning at 200-300 miles, need a $160 shoe to feel great 400 miles in for me, especially when the Triumph 20 is doing exactly that for me. Definitely considering this pair

    Bought my cloudsurfers a couple weeks ago.. last couple shoes were the Cliftons. Very pleasantly surprised with these. If they have similar life as the Clifton's I'd probably choose them over the Hoka's which I never thought I'd say.

    Hey Dusty, thank you for the review. Enjoy your videos which are always helpful and informative. Do you feel On’s sizing in general is inconsistent? Firstly, almost all their models feel like a half size smaller and I’ve generally have had to go half to a full size above what I normally wear otherwise

    I now have 375 km in my cloudsurfers, they still feel great and the ride is still wonderful. There is definite creasing, but everything else is looking new on them... the only down side is that about 40km ago, they started squeaking! I'm not sure if it was because they got drenched once or because they are wearing down, either way, it's a bit annoying! 😆

    Love everything about this shoe. My only adjustment is the arch support. It seems pretty pronounced and towards the rear of the shoe. Seven miles out of the box those first 4 were heaven. My second run seemed to be better. Maybe they need a slight break in to mold my foot shape. I’m hopeful because I love everything else about this shoe!

      @wordsovsean8905 Год назад

      I've done two 10km runs and half marathon distance so far. It's just about the most comfortable shoe I've ever run in for 10km. If you are not trying to push the pace, I can't imagine you would have too many issues with it unless you need a stability shoe. I don't personally find it unstable though. The upper is pretty much second to none too.

    My CloudSurfers are one of the best shoes I've ever owned. My wife and I do a 3mile walk every night and after about 3 weeks they started to squeak a little. Now they loudly squeak with every step and it can get pretty annoying. Wish there was something to help stop it cause they're seriously so freaking comfortable!

      there's solves if you search squeak cloudsurfer on youtube - essentially you file down some of the pods with a nail file for a rougher texture

      Emory board or nail file to scrape the insides of the cloud pods until the surfaces get slightly rough.

    How does the Cloud Surfer compare to the Nimbus 25?

    • @RunningWithDusty
      @RunningWithDusty  Год назад

      I haven't tried the new Nimbus yet. The Surfer is much lighter though. I would expect the Nimbus to be better for long slow runs and the Cloudsurfer to be better for most other things

    • @poman3256
      @poman3256 Год назад +2

      I find that the surfer feels softer than the nimbus, it also feels lighter and with the domino effect of the the pods running in them feels effortless. I have fallen in love with the cloudsurfers so much so I'm going to do the Manchester marathon in them!
      Originally I was going to use the brooks glycerin 20 or the nimbus 25 as I prefer maximum cushioned shoes, however during the longer runs of my training they just started to feel too heavy, like i was carrying dead weight.

      Just ran Big Sur Marathon with Nimbus 25’s…had no problem running up high elevations…have cloudsurfer and good for easy runs…only problem to lookout for is if you have pronate problems. Surfer not as stable as Nimbus 25’s.
