You seem ore qualified than the guy who's 5th most played game is splatoon at 30 hours. It pointless having someone who plays that little on a video game channel.
@@KyleTO7 to be fair, not everyone needs a crazy amount of play time, and it definitely doesn't mean someone deserves a spot on a channel if they happen to play more... it's also about enthusiasm, communication skills and personality, and most people seem to really like Zion. I have a friend who put thousands of hours into World of Warcraft but I know that he couldn't make or present a video to save his life.
Mine Botw: 320(not all hours are mine, a good 100ish are my sister's) Mario Odyssey: 165 hrs Smash ultimate: 155 hrs Mario Maker 2: 70 hrs Super Mario Party: 60 hrs(played it a lot with family when quarantine was worse) Those are my top 5
As someone who tracks game time obsessively on How Long to Beat, the switch's lack of activity log and rounding of playtime to 5hr increments is infuriating.
Like...the system is obviously already tracking time played. It makes no sense at all why times are only in 5 hour increments. They're not actually rounded up either - you could have played 19:59 on a game and it would say 15 hours or more until you play that last minute. This is no biggie for games like BotW, but a game that's 5 to 10 hours, well that's a significant portion of time not accurately represented.
You all prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot the login password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
My favorites are the steam commenters that have a thousand hour of playtime on a game but rate the game as “not recommended” and start the review with the phrase “I used to love this game”
One of the apps I really wished was carried over from the previous generation of Nintendo products was their software library and hours played app. That was such a great record keeping tool.
I've got 300+ hours clocked in Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling. It's SUCH a fantastic game that lets you create super creative medal layouts and lets you play any way you want. Glass cannon? Evenly distributed stats? Tanky build? Support build? Anything works on any of your three party members. The characters are incredibly charming and there's SO much detail put into the world and its lore and character backstories. The writing is funny and has so many little details here and there that I've loved noticing on replaying, which leads me to my next point. This game is SO damn replayable thanks to the presence of menu codes. There's a code that randomizes medal locations (with customizable seeds!), a code that makes you spend money to level up but makes medals super cheap to equip, there's a code that decreases the window for blocking to be more strict, there's a code that makes the Hard Mode even HARDER... you can combine these codes as you please to make challenges for yourself or just make your replays more interesting. I've beaten the game roughly six or seven times and each time I find something new to appreciate about it. If you enjoyed the classic Paper Mario games, you're bound to enjoy Bug Fables even more.
I just reached my 35th hour of playing bug fables for the first time and I agree it is a spectacular game. Its scratched that paper Mario itch for me on the switch
I find very interesting to see what other people play, there's such a variety of tastes. My top 5 most played games are (from most to least): Dark Souls (190h), Stardew Valley (180h), Hollow Knight (90h), Super Mario Maker 2 (70h) and the SNES app (65h). If I hadn't played BotW on Wii U, it would probably be the first, since I played more than 200h there.
Would love "Our Most Played DS/3DS games" video : ) Be interesting to see what games you invested the most time into! I still enjoy picking up my 3DS and playing a game from my collection I haven't played before, it still keeps the 3DS fresh for me.
Alex thank you for your support in the long running battle to keep Diddy Kong Racing relevant. I just recently forced all my friends to play with me lol. Also there's a version of Drinking Kong Racing my friends play called Beerio Kart lol
1. Pokemon Sword, dynamax works great with competitive double battles 2. Slay the Spire, Clearing a20 made me feel like a king 3. Mario Maker 2, following some great creators and the top/popular ones by difficulty are always great 4. BOTW, enough said 5. Hades, enough said
My Top 5 played games in terms of playtime: 1) Fire Emblem Three Houses (around 200+hrs) 2) The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (150 hours) 3) Splatoon 2 (around 110 hours) 4) Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition (I think it was 105 hours or so) 5) Octopath Traveler (Around 85 hrs)
Hatsune miku project diva mega mix, fire emblem 3 houses, pokemon shield, harvest moon one world, andpersona 5 strikers are my 5 most played games I have right now
Impressive! I don’t have 100% completion, but 500 hours is kinda the norm when playing these games. They’re lengthy journeys with a lot to do in them! Still hoping they re-release X on switch. I enjoyed that one a lot on my Wii U.
Love these discussion videos. They are my favorite videos on the channel. Also I've been enjoying reading the website recently. I haven't read many gaming articles since back in the Nintendo Power days so it's cool to see the writing and content over there. I read a cool article looking back at the Zelda Minish Cap this week. It's one of my favorite Zelda games and I think it's underrated so it was nice to relive that memory and see it getting some love on Nintendo Life.
I agree. Arms has been out for about 4 years now, and I don't know why Nintendo still wants $60 for it to today. It's still a good game but it doesn't offer too much once you've beaten it. And from what I've heard, they've stopped adding updates to it.
@@fotografick As a fan of ARMS, I suggest waiting for it to go on sale, since it doesn’t have much single player content. Other than that it’s a pretty good game and has a nice (albeit somewhat small) community In fact, I feel like ARMS, Odyssey, BOTW, Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart should’ve had price drops at this point, since most games on other platforms get price drops when they get old
@@denimchicken104 yeah, but they said they had to guess what their most played games were and then opened them so they'd be able to check the hours played. Sorting by most played would make that process easier
Three Houses is my most played game with 1,270 Hours or more. I played it 5 times and on my 6th playthrough😅. Like the last 3 playthroughs making Hapi my future wife in Three Houses into the Dancer Class.
@@educampsrocks Well it was very first Fire Emblem Game I've ever played. I absolutely love the characters some more then others😅 and I love seeing the characters in 3D as well a the Anime like Models in some cutscense😁. As I played it more the Charaters grew on me more then I unlocked the Ashen Wolves and fell head over heels for Hapi and I had to make her a dancer and boi did I😁. Anyways right now on my game Hapi is a Trickster Class😁 and she looks cool.
Try speaking in full sentences. I know you’re probably used to 160 characters or less but give the WHOLE English language a try. It’s crazy, if used correctly, you can actually communicate coherently. 🤷🏼♂️
@@jimmywest1526 On the contrary, the only sentence fragment I used was “All the time”. The first sentence contains the necessary verb to construct the phrase, coincidentally being the verb NEED. Given the contextual clues provided in the video by the delightfully charming Jon Cartwright of a play log that he shared of most played games on his system, which, dear commenter, was also the title of the video, would suggest to a person who had greater than room temperature IQ would be able to associate the comment that I had hastily shared with the video in my enthusiasm with the only intention of increasing the RUclips algorithm through creator engagement. The fact that you were so quick to judge my prose as Twitter banter is downright shameful. Let us return back to the grammar lesson. While I admit “All the time” was a sentence fragment, lacking subject and predicate, it was written for emphasis on how unnecessary I view, or on this case, I do not view gameplay videos. The majority of the time when b roll videos of gameplay are shown, I place my phone down on the counter and proceed to do more important tasks throughout the day, like washing the dishes or tending to my children. Perhaps a person with your lack of intelligence needs gameplay videos to be amused and reminded which video game the presenters are referring to while speaking instead of providing a list format that I was implying in my initial comment. I do sincerely apologize the this sentiment flew clear over your precious little head. The final clause shares two examples of active verbs, paired together for emphasis. While I did reuse the verb NEED, the accompanying verb IS would be considered a helping verb, ultimately giving my final statement of “This is perfect” a full and complete sentence. While you undoubtedly were not expecting this type of response or any as erudite as this reply I have so expertly crafted, given the quasi-simian approach suggested by my initial comment, I would encourage you, dear commenter, not to prejudge the prose of the person casualty on the Internet. If you are still reading this I want you to know one thing: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the Game of the Decade.

When they mentioned how you just get into a feel for a character in smash that you just keep playing, I remembered that I've played Inkling since launch and within the last few months I have twice the KOs and maybe even more battles with Steve. God times do change.
You can go to the nore games section on the switch menu and sort it by most played, that way you can see the entire consoles played games ranked by playtime across all users, so if you've used them for multiple files or something you can see those included.
Wonderful video as always! I loved when you guys were talking about how games are one of the best "value for your money" things that people can buy because I just got my Switch last July and it actually got me back into gaming after about 16 years so it has paid for itself a few times over in just 8 months. I was a huge fan of Nintendo 64 and PC games when I was little and even up to the start of high school but then other interests replaced gaming but I'm so glad getting a Switch got me back into it because I have loved spending my time with these games and playing with friends. My most played game is Animal Crossing New Horizons, which I've played for "590 hours or more" which means that I am getting to the point where as far as value for money goes, it has cost me 10 cents per hour of this game which is such a fantastic value! The funny thing is my second and third most played games are nowhere near that amount of time, those are Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Fortnite with 30 hours and 20 hours of gameplay. Clearly, I need to start spending some time on other games I own lol. Anyway, I love your content so thanks for another great video and can't wait for the next one :D.
Mine most played are I think smash at 500 hundred, animal crossing 400 hundred and stop play at around last summer, fortnight which I have not played since 2019 and I have 300 something hours, fire emblem three houses at around 200 hours played golden deer twice and blue lions once want to play more, and breath of the wild with around 130 hours
I have 265 hours in Stardew Valley on Switch. This isn't even the only platform I currently play it on. It's the thing I do to relax. :) But I also now have a co-op farm with a Discord group, and it's been so genuinely lovely to engage with in multiplayer.
My top 5 playtimes on Switch: 5)Super Smash Bros. Ultimate(230h+) I barely play online. I collect all Spirits, go through all Classic Modes, made some Playlists and suddenly it was in my top5. 4)Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition(390h+) 100% all Adventure Maps and still not even close to maxing out all chars. It's a great chip away experience. I got burned out once and left the game for a long time but than Age of Calamity Was annouced and it was time to go back. 3)Fire Emblem: Three Houses(455h+) All routes. Not really close to all supports. Protect Bernadetta. Easily in my top 5 Switch games and probably top 5 games over all too. 2)Pokémon Shield(475h+) Not here for another Gen8 warlike discussion. I'm just saying that Competetive Pokémon is almost like a complete different half of the games. If you like Pokémon I can recommand it a lot. Take a random rental team and try a couple of games. Maybe it's something for you or maybe it's not. Gen8 is very Competetive friendly. 1)Splatoon2(1310h+) Every Splatfest already make a lot of hours. Combine that with 100+ weapon sets, 4 Rank Modes, Turf war, Salmon Run, 2 campaigns with one being the best DLC from Nintendo and smaller stuff like extrordinary amount of cloths and accessoires with different perks, a neat arcade like rhythm game for fresh soundtracks and just fun. I think Splatoon as a franchise deserves a spot on Nintendos most important franchises and not just "the new franchise that blew up". I mean yes it doesn't have the legacy like Mario or Zelda but it shouldn't be underestimated either. The franchise climbed up for my favorite franchises really quick and that's something I respect a lot(it's not my favorite but it's still impressive). For the Jon Cartwrights out there I also want to mention that I got 220h+ in Tetris99, 105h+ in PuyoPuyoTetris and 60h+ in PPT2. I also played through Panel de Pon on NSOs line up(I still prefer Tetris but I adore it a lot). Smash is about to get past by Tetris99. I suppose...you can't fight destiny ;D
I've played Animal Crossing for 670 hours, after playing every day for a year, and I still haven't helped Gulliver enough to get the golden shovel recipe
@@thepartyoftea I'm sure I'm THIS close to getting it... but after that One Year mark, I've fallen off into MH Rise... I suppose I should check back on my islanders
Its called Beerio Kart and you are NOT allowed to drink and drive, so you chug during the crash animation, or at the end of the race before the finish line. At least thats how we did it in college. We also banned simply chugging the beer at the start, since starting behind early is an advantage in the game and we didnt want it to devolve into a chugging contest.
@@thelegendofstonecoldstevea3205 I wouldn’t say everything is easy. A decent amount makes you get good and think through stuff. Great challenges throughout the game. But I’m sure if you’re a pro gamer maybe you can consider everything you did easy to do. I think the different level of challenges in this game make it one of the best games ever made. It’s truly special when you get the right movement down or figure out something that seemed really difficult.
@@thelegendofstonecoldstevea3205 yea I can see that. I haven’t tried all the hardest moons. I also think completing the last two worlds you unlock are great challenges for the average gamer. Not saying they are the hardest thing ever, but you feel the fun challenge of it until it clicks. Such a great game. I hope the next big Mario game blows me away as much as this one did.
When we played “beeriokart “ in college you weren’t allowed to drink while moving, so players would drink as much as they can at the start and then occasionally pull over during the race to finish their drink Absolutely hilarious fun, with a variety of strategy (some people drink the whole beer before starting, I tended to stop every lap for a chug)
Oh boy, mine is kinda weird *490 - RUclips* I don't have any other media boxes/consoles so I use my switch to watch TV, or even with the kickstand, a lot... *455 - Brawlhalla* I do have smash, but I prefer the lighter and quicker combat with the dpad controls. Still absolute trash ranked though *225 - Animal Crossing* Just reset my island to get a better rivers layout. Some of the charm has faded away but I still want to get all the seasonal stuff and favorite villagers again *125 - BotW* Unlike nl, I think exploration is half the charm and completing 100% kinda misses the point, like Odessey. *105 - Tetris 99* Love this game and am consistently in the top 10's of a match :) I just bought the Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory rhythm game. I'm pretty sure I'm going to squeeze so many hours until I get all the A+++ ratings, great soundtrack and love rythm games
I have 959.59 hours (as high as it goes) in Pokemon Shield over the pandemic 😂 it's sounds bad but between the story, team building, competitive battling, and shiny hunting it makes sense. Smash is probably half that, maybe more.
Sword became my pandemic game as well. Although instead of all the things you mentioned, I started and finished a collection of Pokemon in different rare Pokeballs (Apricorn Balls, dream ball, beast ball, etc.)
I've played Splatoon 2 for over 1000 hours, and I even started over the campaigns on a new profile, so I'm not even counting that. I also played Smash for 700-800 hours and Mario Kart for 200ish hours
I got Smash Ultimate today, probably gonna play it for ages! (Edit 4 months later: I now have over 150 hours sunk into the game, without even touching the online!)

YES Splatoon love! It's by far my most-played switch game. Love all the different ranked modes and Salmon Run is a blast. It's still a buy for me when people ask what switch game they should get.
My most-played games are: Animal Crossing, Super Mario Odyssey, Story of Seasons Pioneers of Olive Town, Yonder Chronicles, Wilmot’s Warehouse, Farm Together and Stardew Valley. While I have BoTW, I haven’t played it as much.

Animal Crossing is a strange one for me. Because I do honestly feel like it's missing a ton of content that used to be in previous games and it feels like there isn't much to do in the game as a result. And yet, I've put in over 700 hours into it sooooooo...
Actually the “My Nintendo” phone App, which is only released in Japan, tracks all of your games played and game times, and at the end of 2020 it showed the user “games most played in 2020”. I hope the app comes to other regions soon...
My dad has put 400+ hours into Minecraft Dungeons, and he hasn’t even played the original Minecraft. He just loves finding secrets in that game, but there are so many glitches it honestly hurts me when he tells me he lost his progress at the end of a level.
Each dungeon has a few secrets that appear by chance every time the player enters, so he wants to find every one. There’s also been DLC, which he also absolutely loves lmao. But when someone loves a game, they find some way to spend time in it.
My most played game is Diablo 3. I've played that game previously on pc, but man, playing it on the go and using a joystick instead of k&m is quite a game changer.
5. Burnout Paradise Remastered - 65 hours - I'd been dying for a high quality racing game like this, and pre-ordered it (probably should have, it goes in sale so often. 4. Super Mario Odyssey - 100 hours - Probably the best dang Mario game ever. 3. Octopath Traveler - 145 hours - I'm a huge fan of turn based JRPGs and I dug this one. 2. Super Smash Bros Ultimate - 225 hours - My first Smash Bros was Brawl and this was my second. Loved it. 1. Breath of the Wild - 315 hours - only my second Zelda game I've ever beaten... And I beat it 100% (with guides, I'm sorry). Then I bought the Creating a Champion collectors edition and I've got the map of Hyrule on my wall. I absolutely adore this game. Honorable mentions: Super Mario Bros 35 - 40 hours - WHY MUST THIS DIE? Super Mario 3D All-Stars - 50 hours - this was the first time I've ever played Mario 64, and I beat it 100%. I still haven't played much of the other two in the set, but I shall!
I've got over 2,000 hours into Splatoon 2 and that's with me stopping for the most part when splatfests ended. I used to be on a team, but sadly we disbanded and started playing other games.

Kinda. 1,195 hrs in Animal Crossing New Horizons 450 hrs in Breath of the Wild 265 hrs in Dragon Quest Builders 2 230 hrs in Octopath Traveler 150 hrs in Skyrim ... and my backlog is crushing me. Plenty of games with less playtime, but to illustrate the problem: I've owned Splatoon 2 and Smash Bros. I just reached my 35th hour of playing bug fables for the first time and I agree it is a spectacular game. Its scratched that paper Mario itch for me on the switch
Yes!!! Bug Fables is amazing!

Alex thank you for your support in the long running battle to keep Diddy Kong Racing relevant. I just recently forced all my friends to play with me lol. Also there's a version of Drinking Kong Racing my friends play called Beerio Kart lol
1. Pokemon Sword, dynamax works great with competitive double battles
2. Slay the Spire, Clearing a20 made me feel like a king
3. Mario Maker 2, following some great creators and the top/popular ones by difficulty are always great
4. BOTW, enough said
5. Hades, enough said
Explain Hades? I thought that game was absolutely boring in every conceivable way.

3 houses is my favorite game and I wasn’t even a FE fan before they didn’t even give it a chance 😔
Actually took me a while to get into because it can get so deep. What a title. Right there with you.
Yeah respect their opinion but the three houses segment was painful for me
I was looking for a comment like this. FE3 Houses is my most played switch game. Love it to death. Deserves more love.
My Top 5 played games in terms of playtime:
1) Fire Emblem Three Houses (around 200+hrs)
2) The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (150 hours)
3) Splatoon 2 (around 110 hours)
4) Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition (I think it was 105 hours or so)
5) Octopath Traveler (Around 85 hrs)

I want you guys to start a pod cast I just love the 3 person discussions
Yeah it really felt like a podcast episode
I found myself playing Super Mario 3D All*Stars, Clubhouse Games, Smash, and Arms more on my Switch.
I'm still on the fence about getting arms. I loved the demo, but its a bit too pricey for a fighting game.
I agree. Arms has been out for about 4 years now, and I don't know why Nintendo still wants $60 for it to today. It's still a good game but it doesn't offer too much once you've beaten it. And from what I've heard, they've stopped adding updates to it.
If you can get it for much cheaper, like on eBay or if GameStop is reasonable, go for it. In my mind, it should be worth at least $30 or $40.
My most played game isn't even on the Switch, it's Radical Red.
@@fotografick As a fan of ARMS, I suggest waiting for it to go on sale, since it doesn’t have much single player content. Other than that it’s a pretty good game and has a nice (albeit somewhat small) community
In fact, I feel like ARMS, Odyssey, BOTW, Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart should’ve had price drops at this point, since most games on other platforms get price drops when they get old

@@jimmywest1526
On the contrary, the only sentence fragment I used was “All the time”.
If you are still reading this I want you to know one thing:
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the Game of the Decade.

My most played are Bravely Default 2, yugioh link evolution, xenoblade 1&2, and FE3H
Good picks

New Horizons- 510 hours
Stardew Valley -190 hours
Mario Kart and BOTW- 150 hours each
Ni No Kuni- 85 Hours
Dragon Quest XI- 85 hours
My top 5 playtimes on Switch:
5)Super Smash Bros. Ultimate(230h+)
I barely play online. I collect all Spirits, go through all Classic Modes, made some Playlists and suddenly it was in my top5.
4)Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition(390h+)
100% all Adventure Maps and still not even close to maxing out all chars. It's a great chip away experience. I got burned out once and left the game for a long time but than Age of Calamity Was annouced and it was time to go back.
3)Fire Emblem: Three Houses(455h+)
All routes. Not really close to all supports. Protect Bernadetta. Easily in my top 5 Switch games and probably top 5 games over all too.
2)Pokémon Shield(475h+)
Not here for another Gen8 warlike discussion. I'm just saying that Competetive Pokémon is almost like a complete different half of the games. If you like Pokémon I can recommand it a lot. Take a random rental team and try a couple of games. Maybe it's something for you or maybe it's not. Gen8 is very Competetive friendly.
1)Splatoon2(1310h+)
Every Splatfest already make a lot of hours.

And here I thought my 415 hours in Pokemon Sword were a lot but they are nothing to your Smash Ultimate numbers
Jon convinced me to not try to 100% odyssey, which I’m actually ok with because I want to collect moons randomly for years to come

Super Mario Bros 35 - 40 hours - WHY MUST THIS DIE?
Super Mario 3D All-Stars - 50 hours - this was the first time I've ever played Mario 64, and I beat it 100%. I still haven't played much of the other two in the set, but I shall!
