I asked my Grand-Daddy, in 1984, if he believed you could lose your Salvation.
His answer: "Just live for Jesus and you won't have to worry about it."

Your book “23 Minutes in Hell” was a book I read in 2011, 6 years after my father. My father sadly rejected Jesus up to his death. He was a very prideful man 💔. The night he died, 2:45ish am, I had a dream that I saw my father on the table in a black bag coming up through it. It was disturbing so I looked away and felt prompted to look back. When I did my father was standing up in a young body and naked but I never saw his nakedness. I know this sounds crazy. I just seemed to know things but was being protected. He was for just a second so excited and realizing he was in this new body. Then suddenly he looked terrified and went completely limp like he was hanging in mid air. I looked and these 2 very hideous creatures came on either side of him and took him away. I was then taken to where he was but I was not afraid nor did I feel heat. I was taken to a barred window in what looked like a stone jail cell. In this cell my father was sitting on his legs with these two creatures circling him talking to him with such hate. My father during his illness was so upset when a nurse fed him baby food and referred to him as a big baby. These creatures had a huge spoon and were mocking him as a big baby and took that spoon and shoved it in his mouth so hard his head went way back and I saw it come out the back of his head. These creatures were speaking in a different language but somehow I understood what they were saying. I couldn’t understand why my father wasn’t fighting back. As I looked in the back of that cell I saw the shadows of two additional creatures just standing in the back. Then my phone rang and woke me up. It was my sister telling me my father died and they were just taking him away..... I knew in my heart I had just witnessed my father going to hell but it was nothing that I would have thought. Your book explains why he was limp there and the creatures I saw and the cell!! I didn’t read or have knowledge of your book or story until 2011. I believe you because it’s what I saw too

My father was catholic. I cannot stop thinking about it. After all he suffered. Just to go to hell. My heart aches almost daily for his soul. I keep praying to God to please have mercy on him.

Please pray for my son. He accepted Jesus as a child or teenager. Now he is in his early 20's living a sinful life and says that he doesn't know what he believes anymore about God and the Bible. His personality has changed and he turned against me too, totally. I have been so devasted for the past two days about this. Again, please pray for his salvation and that he turns back to Jesus/God. Thank you.
I’m living the same thing with my son who is early 20’s...he’s been brainwashed by humanistic evolution lies and is now doubting all we taught him about Jesus. Breaks our hearts but we pray for his soul to be saved.

@@proudrosemom I understand. My son and also my daughter have become influenced by unbelievers, drugs, alcohol and the New Age Movement. Never stop praying. I learned that the prayers of a mother and grandmother are very powerful. Also, where two or more are gathered Jesus is there, as "He stated."
I pray that the Holy Spirit will draw your son to the Lord and will send multiple laborers across your sons path. God is merciful and is not willing that anyone perish. Stand firm and trust in the Lord with all your heart! God bless!

It is clear as day that we are saved by grace alone without any need of “works”.
You should also check the log in your own eye before trying to take the stick out of mine due to your lack of knowledge and understanding.
All these verses will prove to you what I say is truth because it’s how scripture reads. If you don’t even know that the NIV and many bibles have been corrupted to change Gods tone and meaning how can you say you even know truth? If you have not figured out this truth about his word...

I’ll use the Bible to complete my argument against everything you just said, and you can either stay deceived about truth and come to God with your own works, see if that truly

CONFESS WITH THY MOUTH AND YOU SHALL BE SAVED. Confession with the MOUTH is made into salvation. The thief on the cross.
What work did he do on the cross to be saved as you speak! He would have never made it.
He confessed Jesus was lord on the cross while the other damned him, one was saved and taken to paradise, the others eye was plucked out. This was to prove how easy it is to be saved.
Ephesians 2:8-10 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God
A gift. When you receive a gift on your birthday, does the one who freely spends their money and time to buy you a gift only to give it with stipulation?!?! If so that person isn’t really giving you a gift. A GIFT IS FREE. God was born of the HOLY SPIRIT BECAUSE ADAMS FLESH AND mans SEED IS CORRUPT from the garden. This is why Jesus was perfect while on earth fulfilling the law not Destroy it... we sin one time and it’s game over. Sin=death. This is why we die. But the spirit lives because ETERNAL SPIRIT OF GOD WAS BREATHED INTO ADAMS BODY. GOD IS ETERNAL, he cannot be destroyed. His spirt is what drives LIFE.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
WHOEVER SHALL BELIEVE.. what is so hard to understand about this?! It’s clear as day. Did it say or read....
whoever shall repent daily and confess their sins... NO. It didn’t. It said BELIVE and you will be saved! This doesn’t mean you want to live a life without works. These are for HEAVENLY REWARDS. God knows us and knows we like to be rewarded.
1corinthians 3:10-15-10According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
THE WORKS WILL HE TESTED BY fire! If the work is wrong it shall be burned and you shall suffer loss, but SHALL BE SAVED as so by fire... UNDERSTAND YET?!?! What is works and what is grace. This teaches how they both will be judged. 2 books during judgment ONE OF ALL WORKS. And one IS THE BOOK IF LIFE. How is your name put into the book of life and is God ever take it out?!?! Think with that brain God Gave you. Is clearly laid out and written.
Romans 10:13 - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved
WHOEVER, meaning any man,woman, child. Who calls/ acknowledges the work and NAME OF THE HOLY ONE, Jesus Christ. Shall be saved.
Then peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call.
GENERATIONAL FORGIVENESS for your sins and transgressions.... Not that you save anyone in your family or friend circle. But once saved always saved you cannot just leave the lords family... read the story of the prodigal son.. he left his family willingly and WAS TAKEN BACK WITH LOVE LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. Even tho he turned his back on his family...
But that those who trust in the lord and his WORK, shall be given the GIFT.. once again a GIFT IS FREE. No requirement to receive a gift.
The Holy Spirit is what WORKS inside a human once born again... you really think you do any of the good works God calls man to do?!?! He DRIVES THE WILL. And we CHOOSE.
Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
ALL HAVE FALLEN SHORT. What work are you going to do to change that?! We deserve hell if we sin one time against God what changes that?
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord
WHAT VERSE HAVE I SHOWN YOU THAT BACKS UP YOU THEORY ABOUT SALVATION and daily “works”/ repentance.
NONE. Because it’s not worked based salvation that you can just gain and lose on a daily base... you are foolish to think that an eternal God and creator cannot preserve salvation for eternity for one person once they believe if he so chooses... If they truly believe in their HEART. We will be judged in our heart. Not Brian or body. The heart exposes the truth of the lord..

“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:”
I have so many more verses to wake
You up but you will choose and be judged accordingly as I will be for our “works”.
Which the only good work we can truly do is PREACH THR GOOD NEWS OF CHRSIT. That is our JOB.... nothing else. All is vain from that. Just as king Solomon taught.
But this does not justify if you are saved or not. Because it’s not how scripture reads or teaches.
Do you not understand that many who confess to know Christ will be turned away?!?
Read Matthew 7... but here is a glimpse of what many who try to bring their OWN work as a way of salvation. Self/pride will be their downfall.

I NEVER KNEW You. Why would the Bible teach against everything you just stated as a way of salvation.. these people PREACHED, cast out demons, did “works” and wonders in the NAME OF THR LORD. Why did he teach this?!? Your argument is dead on arrival with Matthew 7 I hate to tell

This is why you must be BORN AGAIN. This is why we receive new names and eternal glorified bodies. We become NEW IN JESUS, and his BLOOD COVERS OUR TRANSGRESSIONS.
Please I urge you not to attack a fellow brother for preaching truth, but attack those who are preaching works based salvation. Works accompany faith. Faith produces works. Justification is by grace alone, in response to repentance alone, enabled by faith in Jesus Christ alone.
They go hand in hand.
Anyone who says any different is a heretic (preaching other than the gospel) and in danger of eternal damnation. And worse then that they are in danger of dragging others with them.
And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

The gift of God is salvation. However WE MUST put to death the deeds of the flesh daily in a renewal process of sanctification.
There is no need to belabor the point here.
Justification is by grace alone, in response to repentance alone, enabled by faith in Jesus Christ alone.
Do not be dragged into this snare of eternal justification.
It wouldn’t be called a walk WITH if this was a one time verbal throw away confession nonsense sealed no matter what. No.
No. He invites us to walk with him daily. Grow closer. More holy. More in fellowship. Daily walking with our Lord. Crucifying our flesh anew.
I am not sure about Once Saved Always Saved but it is better to be safe than sorry. If you love God then you would obey Him anyways.

This shows us that your name can both be written in the book of life and it can be taken out.
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. Rev 3:4
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Rev 3:5
These two verses show us that in order to not have your name blotted out of the book of life you must overcome and endure until the end and keep your garments unspotted.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Rev 3:16
Rev 3:16 was written to the saved church of Christ that had become lukewarm. When Jesus says I will spue thee out of my mouth, that means total rejection.
Whosoever transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ hath not God. 2John 1:9
You have to rightly divide. It is called dispensationalism. If you do not rightly divide then you make a huge mess of things. We are in the age of grace right now. After the church is raptured, it goes back to a works based system. Consider the following verses:

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Whats the gospel of this dispensation?

2 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
But what is the gospel preached unto all the world by an angel after the church is raptured?
Revelation 14:6-7 King James Version (KJV)
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
Thats not the gospel Paul preached. So according to Paul, the angel from heaven should be accursed??? No, the answer is found in 2 Tim 2:15

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
If you dont rightly divide, you make a real mess of the bible.
You cannot cut yourself out of the body of Christ once you are truly born again.

But in the time of jacobs trouble, things change, and salvation can be lost. Please learn dispensationalism before teaching others the bible.

Paul preached Acts 2:38 in Acts 19 Just like Peter did on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:38.
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:5
This message should be a wake up call to all of us.
This is a breath of fresh air. It's seems most churches in the west have settled for the "once saved always saved" doctrine. One that I just cannot accept because of all the warnings in scripture to believers. Thank you for making this timely video.

Believe on Jesus. The thief on the cross was saved. Paul said of sinners he was chief. It’s about the blood of Christ! When the spirit of death went by the door posts with the lamb blood upon it, he didn’t look into the house to see if they were doing good. He looked to see the blood of the lamb. Jesus died for you.

@@HK-qn4rz You aren't supposed to STAY in fear. Fear is also sin. Because FEAR is not of God. God is Perfect Love and Perfect Love casts out FEAR.
The prodigal son walked away from his father. He woke up and realized what he had done and went back to his father. His father openly welcomed him, but the son was repentant. The father said he was lost but now he’s found he was dead but now he is alive. Then it says in the scriptures if you see a brother taken in a fault, you who are spiritual try to bring him back and know that you will save him from more sinning. We need to stand in the gap and pray and try to help people come back home to the father.
The relationship was lost. But if a person has the HS. HE does not leave the person and unregenerate them. A gift is a gift, God does not take his gift away no matter how bad you are

Yes, the Holy Spirit leaves the one whom it regenerates “aka:clothes in Christ”. That’s exactly what happens in Revelation 3:4 to the men of Sardis who soiled their White Garments.
We don’t need your sola scriptura reductionism telling us that the Holy Spirit never leaves people when we have plenty of examples that it does.
lightninlad perfect love casts out fear. Fear involves torment and he who fears has not been perfected in love. If we sin we have an advocate Jesus. If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us. Let’s stay repentant and pray for one another.

so glad I found you Bill, Annette - I have been married to a baptist preacher's daughter for 45 years - great family and the daughters are devout with deep faith. After being orphaned in 1952 I was adopted by a family who was part of a different denomination (very strict) in which I could never believe they were the only ones going to heaven. I was baptized as a "believer" after repenting & confessing my sins but never really had the instructing/nurturing that goes beyond. This "once saved always saved" has forever been a point of question/contention for me and as I look at my daughter and grandchildren, my prayers are with deep conviction they will return to Christ as they, too, have fallen into this 'OSAS' belief and their lives are a mess (perhaps a result of poor parenting but, I did my best). Your message "for 23 Minutes In Hell" that I watched yesterday twice from 5 years ago prompted me to send to family - most likely I will send to several muslim friends along with the one titled "Jay Shuts Down Islam's Origins...". I'm 71, tired, weary, wish I could die and go home (that is, if I make it as I know I'm unworthy) however, a couple of days ago something came to me about the thief of the cross and Jesus telling him, "... today you will be with Me in paradise." Most won't believe this but either the evening of July 2, 2002 or early morning July 3, I had an "experience" then on August 16, 2002 I was in a trance with a brief vision - on August 18, 2002 I lost my son. Many in the faith would possibly dispute your message as they would mine, however, His righteousness and purpose for our lives is perfect. I fear for people who make statements, such as, “…IF I make it [to heaven], as I know I’m unworthy”.
To me, this expresses unbelief in Christ and the final sacrifice for sins that He made on the cross.
The whole point of Christ coming to the earth as our Savior is that NONE of us are worthy! Only Christ is worthy, and we are baptized into HIM, through faith alone, in His Person and FINISHED work.
Please believe the gospel of Christ!

Struggled over this for years. I have found many not to understand just how far they can go in knowledge and zeal without being new creations. Being willing not to go to hell, and to do things outwardly and suppress inward sin, only out of a sense of the commandments' justice or usefulness or mere gratitude, without any love to God and Christ for Their own sake, is not truly "deciding for Christ." And then no wonder if such fall away. Their last end never changed from self to God.
The scribe saw something of the aptness of loving God above all and neighbor as self, but this did not mean he had a shred of spiritual, as opposed to natural affection which unbelievers may have, for God and neighbor. "Everyone who loves is born of God." And so Christ calls this person who seems to have a sort of love for God only "near the Kingdom," not in it.
It is part of the new covenant that God causes His people not to turn away from Him. It is not that He keeps them in the covenant against their will, but that He gives them a heart that wills the right thing. They may fall into sin, but they are not the kind of people the bent of whose nature is to presume on God, and when they do, He may chastise them with fear that they do not know Him - for they are acting like unbelievers and so lack evidence of what they are. But God will not take His grace from Solomon, as He did from Saul.
God may work great changes in people without saving them. So He changed Saul's heart to be more courageous, but not holy.
Took me a long time to reconcile many difficult verses on this matter. Hope some of this may prove helpful.

If anyone doubts that the prayer works, don’t doubt it. I said the exact same prayer, and my life and mind has changed. After the prayer, I became closer to God that I could’ve imagined. But you have to mean it. You can’t joke around while saying it

This can get confusing, I don't know about anyone else, but I feel that war raging between my spirit and the flesh, it doesn't go away I have to constantly ask for forgiveness. I have a forgiving nature when people wrong me in life but sometimes I am pushed to my limits and start hanging on to my anger. I am in a major battle with family court and I see how they destroy people's lives, in one sense I try to show mercy but in another I let them know they are purposely destroying people. It's not easy finding that balance of fighting a battle and being merciful with those who are waging war against you. I have humbled myself at times that I have allowed myself to be abused by my enemies but that time comes when you say enough abuse, back off of me. I always feel like I am backsliding and constantly have to humble myself before Jesus with my sins
I know how you feel brother, we have to wrestle with the powers of darkness until the day of redemption. Satan isn't going to stop tempting us and blinding people until he is destroyed so carry on fighting in the name of Jesus
If we lost our salvation its means that it just a temporal life not eternal life
You never obtain alvation in this life! Salvation is the reward given in the end of the race to those who lived a life according His will!

Very wise Mr. Bill, as you said, the word "believe" and "faith" in the Bible are not a mental state, but an active one. There are 2 types of works in the Bible, works of self-righteousness (Titus 3:5) and works of faith (James 2:14-26).
We are not saved by our own works (Ephesians 2:8-9), but we are saved to do good works (Ephesians 2:10), (Philippians 2:12-13).
Works of “faith” are base on a relationship with our Heavenly Father (Matthew 7:21), and works of “self-righteousness” are works for oneself or the world (1 John 2:15).
We must love our Creator more than the things created (Romans 1:25), (John 6:27-29).

One thing I’ve noticed that is common with those that have the so called “hell visits” is that they always come back and say you need to add works to the clear gospel. Which makes me believe it’s not of God.
I have noticed that too.
I havent seen hell and God himself has shown me multiple times in His word that salvation comes at the end of the testing of your faith.
So Salvation is a reward for passing a test, totally foreign concept to the Scriptures

Melanie R You are absolutely correct sister, we are 100% saved by grace through and not of ourselves. It is a free gift of god lest any man should boast. Nobody is arguing how we are saved. And that’s where I think the confusion sets in. However, pulling singular verses from various point of the bible does not paint the full picture. Anytime I’m confused I reread the entire New Testament front to back. God isn’t the author of confusion. I have my faith and trust in Jesus. What did Jesus day? “ your sins are forgiven .... now go and sin no more” . It is not a “work” to have a full relationship with Jesus. Pick up your cross and follow him. Talk to him ask for forgiveness when we continue to slip up and sin. It’s out of respect to our Lord. Why does Jesus speak of the lukewarm and backsliden christians if what you are saying is true. Melanie R what I took from the teaching is that they were just throwing questions out about people who choose to not follow Jesus. I false gospel would be to change the gospel itself not how you live after you are already saved. The Paul speaks of how we’re supposed to follow Jesus once we are saved. James speaks about how we are supposed to live once we are saved and Jesus speaks about how we are supposed to live once we are saved. That’s not a false works based gospel. The gospel of Jesus Christ is perfection. Once saved, we are called to pick up our cross and follow Jesus. That’s a requirement not a work. Praise Jesus and god bless you!

If a man is justified by faith without works, how does he then go to hell cos of his sins if he’s not going to be judged by his works?

A sinner will not enter into the Kingdom of God friends. REPENTANCE IS A MUST. We must repent all our sins and commit not keeping doing them.
I know that I was saved 20 years ago one summer night and after 3 or 4 years I fell back into sin for 20 years until He pulled me from the darkness of sin. I NEVER stopped believing and praying for forgiveness and deliverance but I was headed for Hell in my sin!!!
If you were SAVED, you were no longer in your sin, even though your flesh was sinning. When born of God, we are JUSTIFIED, have complete forgiveness and have passed from death to life. It’s a Spiritual position ~~ IN CHRIST. It has nothing to do with what our flesh does or does not do. God does not save us based on us, but based solely on Christ and His perfect sacrifice. Eternal life (Christ~ I AM the resurrection and the life) is the free gift of God. The ONLY THING we can do is believe……as we’re told over and over again in the New Testament.

Correct, none of us can turn from sin of our own accord, but with the power of the Holy Spirit, yes. To change the mind is to turn. The verse you quoted from 1 John is not talking about our continued sinning it's talking about the sin nature, the old man that is to be daily crucified with Christ. 1 John 2 it says IF any man sin....in other words the cross wasn't just God's grace extended to us as the forgiveness of sins but also the grace to walk in the new man which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. I'm of the understanding of how that happens. I see it often within the Christian community. The wide and narrow gate says it all. Few will enter the narrow gate and that includes many within the Christian church. Daily we pray for the strength to walk honorably before Him. He who abides in me, I will abide in him. If a person is truly saved and walks away and doesn’t come back on His own he will be “chastened” by God; unfortunately I found that out the hard way and boy! Does his chastening hurt!,. If someone walks away and is never chastened by God he/she was most likely never saved in the first place. I have a hard time believing that someone who was truly saved can make a consciences choice to “not be a Christian anymore “ just because of the Love or Peace you get from God. I think it’s almost always a gradual backsliding and then there’s conviction and chastening leading him back to the right path.
And forgiveness is critical. Your not saved if you have unforgiven brothers ect. It’s and absolute must. And yes it takes work sometimes but it has to be done. Plus, if you have the Holy Spirit ; he will help; it’s his spirit of forgiveness that’s doing it anyway.
Worldly living will put you into a dangerous situation. I've seen a lot of people like that.

So the simple answer to your question it simply means the discipline of God. I don't have enough room to go into my story but I'm here to say that God means every word of what he said there in Proverbs.

Romans 4:5 King James Version (KJV)
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
This verse is clear enough to prove you can have faith and don’t have works but still be righteous in the sight of God, cos your righteousness come by faith.
Faith without work is dead . Paul said : ... work out your own salvation with fear and trembling ; Phil 2:12.

There existed circumcised Jews in Paul's time who would 'boast' that they were made righteous by having done the work of circumcision (unlike the gentiles) and that seems to be the main group Paul was addressing in Romans 4 and previous chapters. Even so we are saved by Grace thru Faith and do not earn our salvation - for we are now slaves to righteousness instead, and slaves do not earn anything :) Reference Romans 6:15-23
Saw in a movie where someone related about a group of people who were praying for rain in a period of drought. They went to church to pray about this issue but only one or a few took an umbrella!

A backslider is a saved person who falls into sin. A lost sinner cannot be a backslider. You have to go somewhere before you can slide back. But one who is truly born again, a child of God who falls into sin, is a backslider.

Here is an experiment I did once, and it really opened up the scriptures and made things clear: For six months, I read the Bible according to my regular schedule. But, I read nothing Paul wrote, only books from others.
Paul was educated and spoke in complex sentences to relate his complex thinking. Jude and James alone run over most of the confusion people have over things (they think) Paul said.
