Yes, this was me! I was saved but slowly allowed unrepentant sin into my life over the years until I was totally backslidden. I went through terrible times, started drinking every day, left my husband of 35 years, we lost our home to foreclosure and then my husband died of a massive heart attack, and I continued in my sin and turning away from God! Then I had cancer...but God had mercy on me and didn’t stop pulling me back to Him! I finally gave up and slowly I started reading the Bible again, praying, repenting...found a church and got baptized in water (again!) at age 64! I give all the glory to God! Thank you Jesus!

Your comment just answered a prayer I’ve had for 10 years! I’ve prayed & prayed asking God why certain events VERY similar to yours happened in my life ( walked away from marriage of 18 years, my kids & entire life etc.. was drinking daily - just totally out of character. Saw a Dr who prescribed medication for depression and that only made matters worse! Anyway, I now see how unrepentant sin causes a hardening of the heart and can DESTROY a life. Thank God for His mercy and that He lead me back to Him. Thank you for sharing this!

I need help, my brother is Agnostic (atheist?) and I don't want him to spend a horrible eternity as it would break my heart if this was true. Hell is a horrible eternal punishment and I don't want him to go there. How do I help him get to Heaven when his time comes? He only believes in science and is not willing to change his opinion (or dare I say) open up his mind about it. Its my nightmare for anyone in my family to experience this. If anyone can provide an answer or has any additional questions; please reply and depending on the question I will try to respond as soon as possible! This is the sin Paul says easily besets us get into the word and look for scriptures that talks about your struggles and meditate on them and as God to help you daily crucify your flesh
Submit to God and then resist the devil and temptation.
Every day spend at least 10 minutes in worship.
If you trust in Jesus blood, you are saved and nothing can take that away.
Sadly, many of those people sitting in pews are continuing in their sin BECAUSE they believe that they will be saved, no matter what they do or how they live! 😢
I was one of them until God opens my eyes.. I am glad that i didnt die in that status, i would have been in hell by now. I was running after prosperity. Unfortunately the pastors are the only ones who become prosporous when it comes to material. The only gospel they thought me was sow seed and expect harvest. I think we sow the seed and the pastors reap the harvest. I didnt see any increase in my life , the more i gave the more i got broke. I just left them and learned repentance and holly life

Sadly, many people are trusting in thier own self righteousness and "good" works to "keep" their salvation instead of trusting in the blood bought sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Jesus paid it all. Theres nothing you can do to earn it or continue to keep it by doing something, HE did it all. Did he not say "it is finished"?,.

We throw God away. As a result, we *can* walk away from the Salvation of Jesus.
He can remove our names from the Book of Life, remove us from the Olive Tree, and remove the Sacrifice for sins that Jesus was on the cross.
OSAS contradicts those passages and since the inspired Word doesn't contradict itself, either OSAS is or the 50+ verses which prove salvation can be walked out of are wrong.

Thank you both sooo much for loving Jesus, This topic is straight from heaven. I've just recently come across this problem in my church. Teachers are teaching that you can never loose your salvation. I would fear the judgement from the Lord as we know that even Pastors have been found to be in hell. Much love and may your fruits multiply.

Thank you for both parts 1 & 2 of this study. Many times I have not understood how to answer people who say ‘once saved always saved’. You have pointed out from the Bible how we must live in the fear of almighty God in understanding His warnings about sin and repentance and to be overcomes. Thank you for all your help.
GOD came to me when I was an atheist. Somebody still can be saved as long as GOD chooses you. Just like he chose Bill to see the vision of hell. GOD chose to answer my prayer when my grandma passed away. GOD 💯 love And he is always my 🏆
I had an experience like this before, I woke up from a drunken stupor, but I was nowhere near the surface of the earth, a cold deep deep gravel pit, is where i woke up, there was only a small hint of light showing parts of where and what I was in..I'm hungover and stumbling to get out, yet to notice the walls were straight up, with no sign of entre or exit. I look straight up and I saw the surface. the light was so small, I felt like I was miles underground..my senses came to, as if I wasn't hungover anymore.. but shortly after coming to, the surface began to close, looked just like an eclipse, the slower it closed, the more my heart dropped with panic..as if someone was closing a manhole cover..just then. the light disappeared, and I was in the dark, I started hearing whispers, from every direction, eerie whispers that quickly became screams I cannot describe, cuz it felt like they went right through me, rather then around me, piercing every part of my body I began to scream in terror, I let out a long wailing cry, that seemed endless, my insides felt like they were gonna be pulled from my mouth, that's how hard I was screaming. I cant recall how long I screamed, just then this giant hand snatched me by the neck and picked me up off my feet. I'm trying to brace myself from it but it felt like I was grabbing air.. I never felt so helpless, my scream stopped abruptly cuz of this thing that grabbed me..I felt my neck snap, its grip on me was so strong, I thought how can I even be alive? I also felt its intentions towards me, as if it were looking at a new toy to devour..absolute hatred..it let me go and I was free falling in fear, through darkness, it felt like forever. I landed somewhere and I couldn't move. it was unbearable to move cuz of the atmosphere there was so dark, you're even afraid to move, all I can hear is screams echoing like bullets being shot, each shot was a scream, I can hear people pleading for their lives, just before their lives were ended....I too was screaming..I couldn't do anything else but take it...I began to hear evil laughter amongst the screams..but there was just one that cancelled them all out...the nastiest laugh I ever heard in my life...it said "you're with me now, theres no God here" then resumes its laughter...I'm crying so hard my throat was on fire...I was on fire...everything was fire. it's hard sharing this because theres more to it, and I pray you find this Bill..anyone who is reading..Jesus Christ loves you so much..that he even showed me how it really is..much prayer and love you all..God bless. from a small town in Alaska

I have seen so many testimonies of people over the years of people claiming they have been to Hell and back. None of them have said once saved always saved is true. Almost all of them said they saw "christians" in Hell. People that prayed the sinners prayer but never repented.

There's no question you can be truly saved and backslide, I've done it before.
That proves once saved always saved, no matter what you do, it is finished. Jesus Christ said it's finished, which means you can add nothing to it. He was perfect and sinless and because of that we are covered in his perfection, his righteousness.
@@sixtenalin9751Amen. They’re taking verses out of context and making every verse applicable to THIS time of the Body of Christ, and making everything a condition of eternal salvation. Some chapters/verses are not even talking about eternal salvation, but about our earthly Christian walk or our having confidence in Christ’s great salvation.
Thank you for your teaching it keeps me circumspect in my own heart. Jesus was hardest on the Pharisees who had the sin of pride and hypocrisy. Paul also talked to those returning back to the law instead of trusting in Christ’s sacrifice alone. God help us to abide in you and thank you for your mercy. I do believe we have to stay repentant and forgiving. Thank you again for your teaching it’s such a blessing.
Paul said that the new covenant is better and therefore should be followed; the blood atonement is enough and that is what saves us, not the law. This is what the bible teaches!!! You are once saved, always saved!!!
@@sixtenalin9751 yet I do believe that Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments. We are not under the law as far as for salvation. Jesus is the sacrifice for our sins. Blood of bulls and goats atoned. It just covered them every year on the day of atonement, but Jesus blood blots out our sins. His blood gets rid of them. But that doesn’t mean we can walk in habitual sin. We must be born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. Example: the ten virgins; 5 were ready, 5 were not ready when the bridegroom came at midnight. You have to obey Jesus and stay in relationship with him. We are betrothed, but we have not consummated the marriage yet. We will do that at the marriage supper of the lamb. Thank you Jesus for your faithfulness and obedience to the father!!!!

The parable of the sower proves that the "stony" and "thorny" grounds were born -again Christians accepted by the Lord at the beginning of their conversions BUT they were REJECTED eventually because of their continuous willful sins without repentance ( as Christians! ). This story is told by the Lord Himself and He doesn't lie or make mistakes with His Words, especially with this parable...
Many Christians believe the doctrine of "once saved always saved". Its frustrating! I believe pastors should teach both sides equally then it will become clear what is true. Thanks for the video.

Thank you so much for this video. Almost every week in bible study I somehow bring this discussion up. I personally don’t feel like once saved always saved. I just marvel at the lack of Fear of God people have. The Holy Spirit gives us the power to be obedient and sanctified and that’s how I want to live. I love God and I don’t want to disappoint Him or myself by ending up in Hell because I took Salvation as a trifle thing

Jesus IS the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE! How can anyone deny Him? He wants to help you RIGHT NOW! Accept the Lord Jesus Christ into your life and you will truly be saved!
Did you listen to what he said? The Father's will is that you should trust in the one he sent which is Jesus Christ, his only begotten. What did he do for you? He died for you, all of your sins are washed away in his blood, which is the most powerful thing in the wholeness of the universe. He saved you by his blood and you are imputed in his righteousness. He cannot even see your sins anymore. It's like how Isaac was blind and the disguise of Jacob. The same thing is about God, he thinks you are Jesus Christ. Because you are covered in his blood and have the Holy Spirit. This concludes to that we are once saved, always saved. No one can pluck them out of my hand, said Jesus, not can anyone be plucked out of my Father's hand, he also said. So are you more powerful than God to escape when you are saved; his sheep? If you want to be saved all you have to do is trust in the blood that he shed for you and nothing else. There is alot of deception going about, and there are not many people believing in the blood of Jesus anymore and this is the falling away from the faith. Don't be a heretic/apostate which will see hell.

My osas family would say about the warnings, you don't go to hell if you live in sin, you just miss out on blessings." You probably don't care if you miss out , youd rather sin. Osas is false that's why the pieces never fit, doesn't make sense. And you cant talk to them. They get mad.
I wish all the Tim Henderson followers can see this and all the Barry Scarborough followers, these men are leading so many people astray with their OSAS doctrine.
Do you think Tim Henderson teaches Easy Beleivism? A tree is known by its Fruit. I have Full Assurance in Eternal Security, I will put only a few passages, if somebody Has the Holy Spirit it's God's Sanctification process via Holy Spirit indwelling..if somebody claims Christ and the troubles of the world overtake them...no prayer life, no reading the Word,then one would question the Authenticity of them Knowing Christ. As Holy Spirit gives us everlasting peace and we don't get conformed to the things of this world as we once did...To Walk in the Light as He is in the Light requires the Holy Spirit. We are saved by Grace through Faith...Faith is All that matters to God..because True Faith..a True Relationship brings more of Christ and less of us. Sinning more or less has nothing to do with Salvation. Jesus died for every Sin but Unbelief. But knowing Jesus, where sin abounds Grace abounds more..as in try keep on sinning and see how Holy Spirit deals with it. God Chastens His Children, it's all in the Scriptures I am equipped for a healthy debate to help you see it's all about Faith.. true Faith produces a Loving work in Christ..because we Love Him. I am no cherry picker of scripture and Context is key..I can prove this via your rebuttles. From the Bible, many denominations but we are One Body in Christ. The Words I speak are Truth and let me say those faiths like Islam Catholicism etc all have no Eternal security but We do..are God is Good and knows All especially sins and what we are capable of. Please look at these verses and let me just go in a little context for this verse..

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Judas would be a prime example of this, he tasted but never took it down, God moved personally and he rejected..the ground was full of thorns and thistles and the wordly sorrows choked the Faith that wasn't real in judas. Also Hebrews who were enlightened and went back to sacrificing animals after knowing of Christ confessing etc, but to tread under foot the Son of God to an open shame because these people went back to animal sacrifices after having the knowledge of Truth and denying it's Power.

My Dad, who’s a 23 year ARMY vet recently explained to me that when it comes to being sorry or asking for forgiveness, that we must also contribute to an act of contrition to back up our words. Maybe that helps with clarification?

The devil used scriptures on Christ. But Christ knew the sun of the Word and corrected the enemy. When speaking to believers in the new testament, the word IF is used over and over . If we are lukewarm . If we are friends with the world etc...

I am a wesleyan by faith attending a Baptist church where they all believe eternal security and the majority of members don't treat others as well as non church goers do. Imagine that! !Tithes and offerings are given in the same regard as a gym membership as long as you are paying your dues you are entitled to the benefits of being a believer. Unmarked envelopes with no tax receipts would be wonderful. People who give the.most have the most power, say, and attention. Visitors are not welcome. ...the three pastors never leave the sanctuary with preaching and teaching.Ask me why I attend there....lol.

If we are saved no matter what, why does the Bible instruct us to not give up, to finish the race, to obtain the prize etc and to repent and to ask for forgiveness ... The answer is that we still have the same free will to serve, as we did before we were saved. For reference, Satan and his angels, Adam & Eve, Judas, Demas. Even King David was fearful of God removing His Holy Spirit from him after his sins.
Forgiving is really important..
We ought to do everything we can for the acquisition of virtue and moral wisdom (phronesis), for the prize is beautiful and the hope great.
The path of virtue is a path of effort and toil: "Straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it;" whereas the gate of vice is wide and the way spacious, but lead to perdition.

Greetings the verse in Hebrew 6:4 most people take out of context.. key to understanding is verse 6:3 for is say what will we do "IF" God permits listen Christ died once for all . The author wasn't saying or thinking if one can lose salvation . He was saying "if" it was to be possible if God did permit then it would be impossible. Translation and comparing scripture with scripture,. Also those who are truly saved in Christ He will keep one from falling away no one can snatch him out of his hand!! Believers are still gonna go through things and sin at times but when Christ begins a work in one as he says in book of Philippines that work he begins he will finish it God bless

The Bible warns over and over what can happen if we back slide. Parable of the 10 virgins. 5 stayed ready and 5 were back sliding and were not let in. We must endure to the end 🙏🏼

Your correct no one can snatch us from Gods hand but that verse doesn't say a person can walk away. In fact, Jesus will spit many people out of Him and you can have your name blotted out of the book of life. If once saved always saved is true then why can you have your name blotted out and Jesus can spit you out aka reject you yet you were once in Him?

after quenching the spirit, (willfully sinned after accepting Jesus, stupid of me, habitual sin unrepentant for years, found out I’m not the only Christian who’s done this) I don’t feel remorse for my sins or sorrow. I don’t feel bad nor guilty. I know what sins are wrong though, but when I first received salvation, I had this HUGE overwhelming guilt and sorrow within my stomach. I want that back more than anything no matter how bad it hurts because I feel inhuman without it. I think I’m insensitive to sin and numb to the remorse. The spirit is still in me I learned thank goodness! But the remorse is a part of the fire of the spirit that I quenched. I hear we quench the spirit by doing ungodly activities such as a lack of sacrificed time such as prayer, worshiping, bible, church and praise. I pray each day but get no answer but that won’t stop me, I read bible verses every day, I pray for the remorse to come back I pray for the fire of the spirit to come back but so far 😥😥😥 Satan wants me to think God can’t hear me nor wants anything to do with me I used to fear this was the unforgivable sin which was also from Satan but had I committed the unforgivable sin, I wouldn’t want ANYTHING to do with God nor Bible nor would I pray or wanna go to heaven. I would hate God, I would feel disgusted by God, I would LOVE sin, I would never repent, I would not care I would be going to Hell forever, so obviously I didn’t commit this sin or I wouldn’t even be here. But please pray for me! :)
Read your bible daily.
Pray to be filled with the Holy spirit.
Fast and pray.
And when you fast, read your bible as much as possible. And pray to be filled with the Holy spirit and have greater manifestations of his power.
Always remember to pray in faith and as if you have received already!

Am scared of hell,I was saved but I lived my life many times like I was not even saved .I never did the things God wanted me to do .my friend did not get born again because of me and another one had committed suicide at age 20 yrs .I was working in a chicken factory in another country and clearly heard the voice of God speak to me saying he died and was in hell and it was my fault and God told me I will die and go to hell.i was begging him in my heart and was scared and confused a pastor prayed for me on phone he he boldly confessed if I make my bed in hell behold you are there psalms 139:8.that scared me more and shocked me .please never play with the things of God.The moment you get saved get in the word of God and and share your testimony with someone you never know who you will private from going to hell .Am really scared of hell cause I walked away from the things of God many times.
I've experienced someone who claims to be a christian cut me off cold for even voicing my understanding that we are to repent...to fear the lord and repent. This once saved always saved just proved my point....it is a doctrine of demons. It's fruit will show itself in self-righteousness and judgment and pride and unforgiveness.
Once you are saved you are always saved, you lose your rewards at the judgment seat of Christ

Christian is those who are born again. Nothing to do with you. We are transformed by the blood even if you don't see it outwardly. I could tell a million faults about you and claim that you are not saved, but that does that mean you are saved or not? Of course not! Believe in the blood atonement of Christ for salvation alone and you are saved, always.

I agree with you both. I see faith as an umbrella with action in it, over it and under it. The action is the maintenance needed to maintain what was given to us by Grace.
Now I understand that salvation is a free gift given to us. But, even gifts require action on the part of the receiver. If I receive a puppy as a gift, do I not have to feed it good healthy food to keep it? Just like the puppy, the gift of salvation requires our part which is in our faith but is not the kind of works that we should boast about.
Faith without works is dead. Death is the separation from God for eternity.

The devil will tell u things he will try to put fear in your heart but just know if u accept Jesus as your Lord and savior trust u are saved he won't take it away from because he loves u. Hi Charlyne, you have no worries. You prayed onto the father with the anointing of the Holy Spirit in Our Lord Jesus Christ's name. We must be patient. A strongman within us may take time to fully rid. The strongman could appear to have many layers like an onion. Each layer removed further exposes the enemies foothold. The Lord will show these connections like doorways. If we learn to cast the enemy out and then close the portals of how the enemy got in, we have successfully gained control back from the enemy. This was important to me. God through the Holy Spirit was able to show me where in the course of my life that the enemy had gained ground to enter and establish his kingdom. The Lord works with me daily removing the evil and filling the void with his Spirit. As it seems we are starving the demons out through prayer and repentance. With no sin and confession of known sins, there is no legal right for the evil to abide amongst our spirit. Everyday I'm shown a new truth and work within God's word to succeed. Resources such as self deliverence in soul ties, generational curses, witchcraft, trauma, rejection, unforgiveness, to name the majors, are easy to follow prayers you can do at home. It's quite amazing how many demons flee just from starving them. God's word evicts evil. When we pray and receive our authority in Christ, we then just speak commands to the spirits whom have been discerned by the Holy Spirit. My favorite memorized verse:

Wow! This says so much. Our Lord has given us authority over All, including satan. Serpents and scorpions are the Ephesian 6 crowd, all other spirits are satan's children and the pissant unclean spirits. Charlyne please understand that our Father in Heaven has worked a miracle in my degenerative life. I'm now learning how to work offensively against the enemy. We truly have authority over all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. You know of this strongman in your life. Most will go through life living a defeated existence not knowing of the oppression and deceipt interweaved within their spirit. Christ spoke of the strongman and of his plunder available when binded. We are also to share in this plunder. I believe that the true abundance of the fruit of the Spirit is it's plunder. We are only fully 100% saved I think once we die or make it through the tribulation. As for now we are on the long narrow PATH that leads to God's kingdom. But it is possible to fall of that path. That's the best way I can put it I think.

@@johnnytrammell1451 ask Jesus to come into your life and to forgive you for all of your sins. Ask Him to open your eyes to the reality of sin. Make him the Lord of your life. Read the book of John in the new testament. Ask Him to give you eyes to see ears to hear and a heart to receive.
The more I study this topic the more I believe it! It is TRUTH and a very dangerous teaching to preach once saved always saved. That’s NOT what the Bible teaches. Think about how easy it would be to walk with the Lord thinking that was true. How lazyadaisy a person would be. It makes NO common sense, as well.

I need help, my brother is Agnostic (atheist?) and I don't want him to spend a horrible eternity as it would break my heart if this was true. Hell is a horrible eternal punishment and I don't want him to go there. How do I help him get to Heaven when his time comes? He only believes in science and is not willing to change his opinion (or dare I say) open up his mind about it. Its my nightmare for anyone in my family to experience this. If anyone can provide an answer or has any additional questions; please reply and depending on the question I will try to respond as soon as possible! What I would advise is pray for him every day, show him the love of Christ, and maybe watch Jeff Durbin, Ray Comfort and Frank Turek videos, it might get through to him, but PRAYER is the most important part. Only the Holy Spirit can convict and turn a person. Good luck & God bless, will pray.
