If Bob impregnated a teenage girl, Audrey would’ve left him, taken the kids they had together, taken alimony and child support….and the church would’ve rallied around her and talked about how strong she is for leaving and how she deserves better.
She could have been a little more sensitive in talking about the affair. I can see his distress when she started describing the buildup between her and the guy - a little touch, etc. She seemed to have revisited the moments right in front of him.
She has it sealed in her memory as a joyful pleasures moment. She just didn’t like the feeling of guilt or the consequences. Remember, they never regret what happened, just the aftermath.

I wish this was the outcome of my ex-wife affair she had with a christian man. Thank you Bob for showing the world what true forgiveness should look like. My ex-wife got pregnant as well, but she choose to end things and not come back to Christ with me. I was willing but she wasn't. It hurt like no other, but over time my wounds did heal and I got re-married.

I believe he has forgiven, but just hasn't forgotten. As humans we're not created to forget, only God can do that, and reason we need to remember is to know how far we've come, to remember the lesson taught in the particular situation, and for it to not happen again. And yes obviously it still does hurt him. May God comfort him and restore any breach they have within the Marriage.

I really believe we should thank God for helping us go through such tough times BUT through this whole video, not even once had she thanked her husband for having such kind of strength. This man Bob is a true example of God. He reminds me of Hosea. I'm sure behind closed doors it has been tense and painful. The arguing, the silence, the weeping. Do not judge or you will be judged the same way. If I’m a cheater and I call out another person for cheating; I can expect to be called out for it as well. Also, it’s close to a form of Karma. I don’t know where people are specifically getting a “Don not judge” from. We are called to make wise judgments. The father was probably someone in his late teens or early twenties with plenty of hormones. (I hope to God that the AP wasn't a minor.) Hope she got tested for STDs. It's highly unusual to see the cheater and OP in a video. I'm sure they decided not to include a photo of the AP for privacy reasons. Falsifying the birth certificate with Bob as the father is a criminal offense, if Bob did sign it as such. Her indiscretions destroyed their marriage and she should have realized the consequences of her three-week roll in the hay. I really feel badly for Bob, but not for her.

My Husband and I separated 2 years ago, because he had an affair which resulted in a child. We have recently moved back in together and are trying to let God do is thing in healing our marriage to full restoration. Forgiveness is most definitely a process that you have to do over and over again. I still struggle to feel confident in my choice to say 'Yes' to my marriage, because I am afraid and sometimes I feel embarrassed about the past. Poor guy, probably invested about 7 years of schooling and many years of ministry just to have it destroyed by a treacherous wife. If he got a divorce he would probably not be accepted by most churches. She is a health risk. I would never counsel someone to remain in a marriage after an affair. He needs to count his loses, buy a Harley and get as much distance he can from the witch.

The goal is to leave people thinking if they have Jesus everything will work out fine. When in fact, people deal with some real serious stuff. God definitely restores. There are some comments saying poor Bob. Which yes, this should never have happened, but God restored. Their marriage is solid. Their story is powerful. God used their story at a conference in CA just for me and my husband. The way how people capture this story, the directors direct them to have pain in their face, or smile for hope. But, in person, they are healed and they are moving forward. Just as it is in my marriage. You never forget, but forgiving is an action and takes time.
This is just the pressure put on men under the guise of forgiving like Jesus so you won’t be seen as a failure for your failed marriage. So many Christian men will accept anything because they are terrified God will see them as failures if they divorce. Infidelity is literally the highest betrayal and an absolute breaking of the covenant… oh just forgive and get over it.

Very religious minded. But God calls us to joy and peace-- Galatians 5.. If you are doing things out of duty (and his tears shows me that he is) then you missed out on a relationship with the Lord and latched onto a religious duty.
Bob will never get over what she did. One thing that gets me is she says we will never have any secrets anymore but what she doesn't realize is she should have never had any secrets in the first place. I know Bob is religious but he should know that the only time God excepts devorce is in the case of Adultery. Plus her having another mans child would be a complete mairreg breaker for me. Having said that, I got some advice from the most unlikely person; A Hindu priest and this is what he told me, "Eric, there's nothing such as an absolute relationship, except btwn God and man. Therefore, when you get a married, don't be surprised if some of this things happen". It was a sobering statement, but it's so true. Forgiveness is really important and it comes from God. Man cannot forgive this. The good thing is the lady, has a remorseful and repentant heart, some do not, which hurts even more. I wish that God sees them through this most difficult period in their lives. Amen.
Here’s the problem: yes God will forgive you but that doesn’t mean the husband has to. You can forgive someone and still respect yourself. Remember, God made you in His image. He wants you to love yourself, respect yourself. By hating the self, you’re hating on God’s creation. I just cannot see the action of continuing to be with this toxic woman as anything but deep self loathing. You can keep close to your children in divorce. But I’m sorry cheating in marriage with kids is callous and it’s child abuse and now with her kid from another man that’s x2.

I truly believe that her sexual affair was much longer than 3 weeks, I also asses that she ended the affair once she suspected she was pregnant. When one embarks in an emotional, romantic, and sexual affair, we all have a clear understanding of the consequences of our actions; we also know who will be hurt and destroyed in the process. Yet the physical temptation and perhaps the fillings of love are stronger as if we're in a mission to destroy everything and everyone in our path. I truly question the love of a cheating partner in a marriage. I am like so many people out there, who has been tempted in many occasion by females of all ages at my place of work “University”. However, the passion for my work and the unconditional love for my wife and kids has stopped me on my tracks, every time some female has approached me in a way other than pure friendship. Why start what I have always known will have catastrophic consequences to these I love. Not trying to be insensitive when I say that I keep God and the devil out of my personal affairs, this way I do not have to blame no one for my actions but myself.

I don’t know where people are specifically getting a “Don not judge” from. We are called to make wise judgments. It's highly unusual to see the cheater and OP in a video. I'm sure they decided not to include a photo of the AP for privacy reasons. Falsifying the birth certificate with Bob as the father is a criminal offense, if Bob did sign it as such. Her indiscretions destroyed their marriage and she should have realized the consequences of her three-week roll in the hay. I really feel badly for Bob, but not for her.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and showing the raw emotion that comes with it (even after many years). My Husband and I separated 2 years ago, because he had an affair which resulted in a child. We have recently moved back in together and are trying to let God do is thing in healing our marriage to full restoration. Forgiveness is most definitely a process that you have to do over and over again. I still struggle to feel confident in my choice to say 'Yes' to my marriage, because I am afraid and sometimes I feel embarrassed about the past. I love my Husbands Daughter and I do hope to have a close relationship with her some day, but these early days are hard. Your story does give me HOPE. God Bless you.

The goal is to leave people thinking if they have Jesus everything will work out fine. When in fact, people deal with some real serious stuff. This wasn't a story simply about an affair, this was a story about an affair that produced a child, so unfortunately the storytelling fails when there are major issues not address. And oh usually I don't think it's anyone's business but this couple "chose" to "share their story" but not really. Because even though we're dealing with adult rated material, we all need to keep everything PG!
It's the commercialization of Jesus. It's like the movie Fireproof the ultimate message of that movie was that the husband and wife weren't following God and when they started following God things got better. God definitely restores. There are some comments saying poor Bob. Which yes, this should never have happened, but God restored. Their marriage is solid. Their story is powerful. God used their story at a conference in CA just for me and my husband. The way how people capture this story, the directors direct them to have pain in their face, or smile for hope. But, in person, they are healed and they are moving forward. Just as it is in my marriage. You never forget, but forgiving is an action and takes time.
This is just the pressure put on men under the guise of forgiving like Jesus so you won’t be seen as a failure for your failed marriage. So many Christian men will accept anything because they are terrified God will see them as failures if they divorce. Infidelity is literally the highest betrayal and an absolute breaking of the covenant… oh just forgive and get over it.

Very religious minded. But God calls us to joy and peace-- Galatians 5.. If you are doing things out of duty (and his tears shows me that he is) then you missed out on a relationship with the Lord and latched onto a religious duty.

I'm a Christian, born again and I have to say, this is absolutely painful to the guy. Guys never move on really. Having said that, I got some advice from the most unlikely person; A Hindu priest and this is what he told me, "Eric, there's nothing such as an absolute relationship, except btwn God and man. Therefore, when you get a married, don't be surprised if some of this things happen". It was a sobering statement, but it's so true. Forgiveness is really important and it comes from God. Man cannot forgive this. The good thing is the lady, has a remorseful and repentant heart, some do not, which hurts even more. I wish that God sees them through this most difficult period in their lives. Amen.

Here’s the problem: yes God will forgive you but that doesn’t mean the husband has to. You can forgive someone and still respect yourself. Remember, God made you in His image. He wants you to love yourself, respect yourself. By hating the self, you’re hating on God’s creation. I just cannot see the action of continuing to be with this toxic woman as anything but deep self loathing. You can keep close to your children in divorce. But I’m sorry cheating in marriage with kids is callous and it’s child abuse and now with her kid from another man that’s x2.
You can forgive someone and still grieve and need healing. The act still is painful and so is the memory. But the forgiveness is there.

I truly believe that her sexual affair was much longer than 3 weeks, I also asses that she ended the affair once she suspected she was pregnant. When one embarks in an emotional, romantic, and sexual affair, we all have a clear understanding of the consequences of our actions; we also know who will be hurt and destroyed in the process. Yet the physical temptation and perhaps the fillings of love are stronger as if we're in a mission to destroy everything and everyone in our path. I truly question the love of a cheating partner in a marriage. I am like so many people out there, who has been tempted in many occasion by females of all ages at my place of work “University”. However, the passion for my work and the unconditional love for my wife and kids has stopped me on my tracks, every time some female has approached me in a way other than pure friendship. Why start what I have always known will have catastrophic consequences to these I love.
