thinking of grabbing a pair, I thank you for the review. I had the last edition MTE’s and definitely put them through what some would call a torture test, yet it’s just the way I enjoy to use my shoes. I ran through mud, snow, lakes and even brought them to the work site a couple of times. I loved them, but after a near 7 months of having them the waterproofing began to wear off and as with all of my vans, the soles began tearing up and I ended up with holes in my soles and uncomfy shoes as a result. I may check some other boots before these but as said earlier thank you for the review.
I bought them a few weeks ago because I needed winter shoes! They´re freakin´awsome - my feet are dry and warm, love them. You can never go wrong with a pair of VANS ❤😊🙌✌
I had a pair of these boots the worst part of the boot was the lace ring at the top of the boots. It's truly a waterproof boot I want to know what material the boot is made of for a custom style boot.😍
This review helped me choose my next pair of Vans! It’s not cold where I live, but I have another pair of Vans boots for cold weather and they don’t seem to get excessively warm in hot weather, so I’m going for these as well (on the black and white colorway). Thank you for the detailed review!
You do you Ben. You don’t look stupid when it’s something you like. Don’t let anyone else’s opinion stop you from rocking a pair of vans you like, or stop you from doing anything else for that matter.
I have the one with the white strip on the top toes, I wanted boots but not the bulky ugly styles boring styles. These will be the first vans shoes i'll have but they are expensive. Get the 2.0 DX they about £10 more expensive from the normal MTE versions. I might actually buy another pair in a different colour, I dont know if these would be too hot for inbetween seasons?
To give you one more look I did wear these last weekend in colorado. I walked snowy streets of Breckenridge and also did an intermediate mountain trail heavily covered in snow. They were fantastic. Feet warm and dry the whole time. I actually felt like I was wearing just regular shoes really. It was awesome.
They are warm but they are not “ice proof” like most shoes so if you are truly going to be walking on ice I recommend coupling these with some “yak tracks” you can google that they fit over any shoe.
not sure. on the vans webpage all MTE DX 2.0 do have the primaloft tag. there's seems to be 7 of them and checked all have it... maybe you are not seeing the DX ones?
Haven’t really been wearing them this summer. But they don’t ever feel hot really. However a pair of sandals or low tops in general will be much cooler long term.
The companies don't design shoes together though. Vans artists are in California and Timberland is in New Hampshire. The only common thing VF gives them is supply chain management and whole sale fundamentals but the brands and the footwear are VERY different.
NOT a review . “This tongue webbing looks to be waterproof “ do they look waterproof or are they ? Two diff things. Are they good in the cold weather ? It is the “mountain “edition “I’m moving to Chicago” in the beginning of video ...why no updates ? I bet he’s wearing Timberlands Redwings or Chippawas by now . That’s a review
Right on dude. Form your own opinions by looking at the video. But I don't know if you actually heard anything I said in the video because even the word "Chicago" is not uttered in this vid. Sweet comment tho!
Thanks everyone for coming to check this out. Like and Sub and all that. It helps as the lil' wee channel grows.
i bought these to keep my feet warm while shoveling snow and because i dont like the way normal boots look, shout out to vans for the dope drop
That’s exactly why I came here but since you have experience do you think they worked well for that sort of stuff
Are they good in the snow?
i own a pair but the ones no one wanted the green and yellow. these are perfect for motorcycle riding they have good grip.
Thanks really exactly the video I was looking for and you just uploaded it! Thanks man
literally same!
I love these boots, they are so comfortable I get a lot of compliments and questions about this boot 🙌🏽👍🏽
I think these might be my next pair of casual/daily winter shoes. Thanks for the review.

@@Subawoooo no cap bro
Very well thrown together review
Do you think I would look stupid wearing these not for hiking or extreme weather stuff cause I just love how they look.
You do you Ben. You don’t look stupid when it’s something you like. Don’t let anyone else’s opinion stop you from rocking a pair of vans you like, or stop you from doing anything else for that matter.
Awesome! Thanks for the encouragement!
I don't know, i wanna buy them for work, i dont know if they are the best for that
Hi! I have exactly the same problem... and now question-did you buy them?
Thank you for this review, I’m from Michigan and kinda getting bored with Timberlands... these are pretty stylish
I have the one with the white strip on the top toes, I wanted boots but not the bulky ugly styles boring styles. These will be the first vans shoes i'll have but they are expensive. Can I wear them for work?? Like electrology stuff
Do someone knows if I can use this shoes at 20-25°? Here where I live we have that temperature 8 months a year.
Are these vulcanized or cupsole?
Are these suppose to be for snow as well, did it provide good grip in slippery weather ?
Yep it did. Wet rocks for sure I didn't feel uneasy. I will be in the rocky mountains this weekend and will give another update too.
To give you one more look I did wear these last weekend in colorado. I walked snowy streets of Breckenridge and also did an intermediate mountain trail heavily covered in snow. They were fantastic. @@KHarm awesome !!! I think I am getting them
@@KHarm are they waterproof too?
@@steve00alt70 yes they are been wearing them in Seattle don't know about sinking them though haha
Is it true to size? Thanks
damn bro this video is great
No, You're great!
Really cool trainers 👟 👍🏻
Considering buying these for the winter! How are these shoes on ice?
They are warm but they are not “ice proof” like most shoes so if you are truly going to be walking on ice I recommend coupling these with some “yak tracks” you can google that they fit over any shoe.
These boots are dope. I just picked up a pair in black woodland.
i have the old skol one and i dont know what the name is
Vans makin everything now
Is this shoes okay for winter?
Would these be ok for daily use or strictly for climate use?(like snow, rain, and/or hiking?)
Yep daily use totally good. Could be a little warm on a hot day, but if you are wearing pants...any day is good.
Just bought this beauty's had 2 pairs of the black and brown already
Tomorrow I'm wearing my new pair of the boot type vans multicolored....I know they going to be on me lol
I need to figure out how to tie these, specifically the ones with the buckles I feel stupid trying to do this
Whats the update on these?
Are they slip resistant?
What pants are you wearing with these shoes here.?
Vans Chino Slims
Is the sole slip resistant?
Yes I think it's very good at not slipping when wet or snowy condition!
Why some of the colors of the mte 2.0 dx dont have the primaloft tag?
not sure. on the vans webpage all MTE DX 2.0 do have the primaloft tag. there's seems to be 7 of them and checked all have it... maybe you are not seeing the DX ones?
Does inside of the shoe start to feel hot during the summer?
Haven’t really been wearing them this summer. But they don’t ever feel hot really. However a pair of sandals or low tops in general will be much cooler long term.
Toe box is nice for people with wide feet
These are going for 60 bucks free shipping rn on the vans store.
I wear a 13 should get these 12 ?
Hmm maybe 12.5. But I imagine that they are true to fit.
True to size?
I’m normally a size 10.
What do you recommend?
go for the ten then bro!
are they steel toe??
They are not.
Can they make some motorcycle CE certified boots already .😉
What about the waterproof?
In the video I said they are basically. :)
They are not even water resistant I'm really disappointed 😞
Oh great video to
Mte stands for made for the elements!
I have woodland camo black mte 2.0 dx shoes
There basically timberland sneakers with vans styling there all owned by VF
The companies don't design shoes together though. Vans artists are in California and Timberland is in New Hampshire. The only common thing VF gives them is supply chain management and whole sale fundamentals but the brands and the footwear are VERY different.
Ur not skating with these shoes lol i want these for snow skating
Dr Scholl's suck in my opinion
these have to be one the ugliest shoe/boot i've ever seen damn those are hideous.
i just knew he was going to tie them shits up so damn tight … smh that’s makes the shoe look ugly smh
