I bought a pair of those too. And also bought SK8 - MTE 3 Gore Tex to compare. MTE-3 's are more for colder weathers than MTE-2 's. So, I mean your climate should better be colder if you're choosing MTE 3's over MTE-2's . I live in Hamburg Germany, and it is not a warm place. But in last 10 years, there were maybe like 10 days of deadly-ish colds. But I must say it really rains a lot here. On the otherhand MTE-2's are definetely, without hesitation I can say a lot more comfortable. It feels like walking on the clouds with MTE-2, when I compare with MTE-3's. At the end of the day, I'll keep only one of them and, I couldn't decide which one. MTE-3 is too heavy and less comfortable. But would provide me a lot of advantage perhaps when I ride a bike. However, it is also not a proper shoe to ride a bike, since it's really wide, and since it has thick sole. On the other hand, MTE-2 is just nice, looks nicer, fits and matches to other clothes better (IMO). Although all the signs are showing MTE-2, I feel like I'll regret that decision :))) What do you think, can you help me to decide? xD
I tried on both styles yesterday and hated how tight the 3 was. Too plush and heavy. The 2 was less padded, light, and felt amazing. Most comfy shoe I ever tried on.
I just bought the mte 2 none gortex because they're 2x cheaper and i heard these shoes may not last long... How are yours holding up man? Hope you reply 🙂
My local Gabe’s had the 2 for $49.99 and 3 for $59.99. Sure, you can find lots of 2s for $49.98 online, but only in Women’s sizes, not in Men’s like at my local Gabe’s.
So I've had these for most of the winter so far. Now that I've broken them in...they are wonderful. To me they were an expensive shoe, but in hindsight, I'm very glad I bought them. We live in Northern Wisconsin.
From England myself so hopefully they hold up well here. They seem like the perfect fit between casual and walking boots. Something I can wear more when I'm just out walking or exploring

I like the boot because it's a lite boot to wear in the cold next to timberland. 🤩🤩
These look stunning
I love them. My go-to cool weather casual shoe. Thanks for watching!
