Those "facts" cards in the 2nd wave TCG is actually a Trivia card, let the kids learn some history while playing!

@@TradingCardArchivist Do you know where i can see a check list for these cards ?

@@bigred4335 unfortunately no, the best we have are the fliers on the vendor pages and the rarity counts on the boxes - from that you can at least know how many cards exist in the set and build a binder to organize things.

The 4th Edition seems to be based on the Battle of Chi Bi/Red Cliffs. It was a major naval battle in the Three Kingdoms era which the underdogs won and resulted in a very long stalemate between the Three Kingdoms afterwards.
I think the painting card with the boat, hay, and arrows is from a story about the strategist Zhuge Liang who, in the preparation for the battle, was asked to gather a lot of arrows. So he sailed boats with hay shaped as soldiers in the fog/cover of night and baited the enemy to fire arrows and get them stuck in the hay, then he just brought them all back for his side to use.

Oh man I should get you to come on and tell stories with the cards sometime! I only recognize a few of them and don't know the lore anywhere near as well. Thank you for sharing that, these are one of my favorite sets and I love learning more about them

Yes, the 2 cards you showed in around 17min, they were questions on the history. Front is the question, back of card is the answer.

I didn't even guess that! It's such a neat addition to the set, I'm glad I kept all those.

Nice informative video. I'm a big fan of the 3 Kingdoms era and many of the things you can buy revolved around it(books, games, movies etc). I just found out about these cards 2 or 3 days ago and found your video today. Glad I did because the art cards interest me way more than the TCG games so I can spend that money in the AC sets instead. I did have 2 questions though.
1)You mentioned something about Kayou not doing hit packs in products like this, what did you mean by that?
2)Where are you able to buy them for $20 a box? cheapest I've seen so far is about $26 if I buy 3 or more boxes
thanks for the video and your time

Thank you and awesome to meet another enthusiast! A "Hit Pack" is something a lot of the Chinese manufacturers do and even Kayou does it in some of their other sets. It's a special pack that will be in each box with a single high-rarity card in it, sort of like a prize pack. I mention that because people who collect a lot of cards like this might be expecting it and think the vendor stole it or something - but Kayou does not put those in these boxes so you don't have to worry. All the top rarities can be pulled in the regular packs.
Getting these for 20$ only happens during the major sales, so like the anniversary sale earlier this year is where I got that price on set 3 and 2. Set 4 hasn't been that low that - but there is another big sale coming up in the summer where we might see that price again.
That second TCG box is honestly really good too - the designs are so much better than TCG1.

@@TradingCardArchivist thanks for taking time to reply. I do agree the second TCG box was definitely better. I'm just trying to talk myself in to getting more boxes of art cards LOL

I have the numbered version of F32 out of 666. I assumed they would be exactly the same but there are slight differences with the art.
