Thanks for the explanation. I was confused when it said she was going from Special Constable to Constable. For a moment it sounded like a demotion to me.
The notion that there is no such thing as a "good cop" is a compelling one, as it raises important questions about accountability and the integrity of law enforcement. The argument that the good cops would turn in the bad ones if they existed is a valid one, but unfortunately, this does not happen consistently. All cops, regardless of their individual actions, are ultimately part of the thin blue-line gang, reinforcing a system where abuse of power and misconduct can go unnoticed or unchecked. There are several RUclips channels dedicated to exposing corrupt cops and bringing attention to instances of abuse of power. These channels play a crucial role in shedding light on systemic issues within law enforcement and raising awareness among the general public. By documenting cases of misconduct, these channels help to hold the authorities accountable and ensure that justice is served. It is crucial for citizens to stay informed and knowledgeable about the ongoing issues within law enforcement. By searching these RUclips channels, individuals can gain access to valuable resources and gain a deeper understanding of the tyranny that is taking place in this country. By sharing these channels with others, we can create a more informed and aware society. In conclusion, the existence of corrupt cops highlights the need for systemic reform within law enforcement. Great work. Despite the negative opinions some may have of the police, you are joining an honourable profession. Be proud. Look after your community, fellow officers, and yourself.
Congratulations. Stay safe and remember to smile and laugh. Makes some of the tough days a little easier , if you remember most people are good even when they get a little salty on their bad days.
You don't know why you're crying? Damn, constable, I'm crying. Congratulations, I bet those you know- looking at you, Dad- are incredibly proud of you.
My grandfather was a Special Constable in the UK, and received a long service medal. That was before and during WWII. He was a former heavyweight boxer. I know he arrested one of our government security guards numerous times for theft and black market dealing during the war. Its an important job. Sadly I failed the medical when I applied in the 1980s.
I am so glad she realised her dream. In 1988, whilst working as a Military Planner within the ultra secretive Australian Department of Defence, the Australian Army attempted to put Me in Uniform, specifically the Uniform of a Colonel in the Royal Australian Corps of Military Police. This was despite My being absolutely (both Physically and Psychologically) unsuitable for Military Service. Unfortunately, for reasons too numerous to mention, I elected to remain with the Department, rather than becoming a Commissioned Officer within the Australian Army.
Because I used to be in hotel customer service in South Dakota I know that "Sault" in Sault Ste Marie is pronounced JUST like "Sioux" in "Sioux Falls" (S. Dakota's largest city). But what I do NOT know is... what's the difference between what she WAS doing and what she will be doing. She was a "special constable" and now she's a "constable", but what does that mean? Was she the equivalent of an unarmed community services officer before becoming a full "constable"?
I’m a special in the uk. We have exactly the same powers as a regular officer, obviously less law based training but defence, personal security and first aid are all the same. We have armed units but rest are unarmed and use a baton and taser. So effectively the same but voluntary so I do shifts as and when I want on average a day or night each week.
She was initially a special constable. Similar to a reserve officer in the U.S. w/ some variations. I was a Reserve Officer for my local Sheriff's office for 20 years. Basically a volunteer police officer.

Even a yank like me likes this a lot!!😊😊
She definitively has the two-handed vest-grab of law enforcement down already. Looking at cops that's about half of all they do... :D

@@cheshirescarf2065 Okay! We'd call that an auxiliary or (more commonly) a reserve police officer/deputy sheriff here. Thank you!
She was basically what a reserve police officer is in the U.S.
Good for you. Now get out there and tell people to leave their vehicle keys next to the front door.
What's the difference, thought constables are police huh
She was initially a special constable. Similar to a reserve officer in the U.S. w/ some variations. I was a Reserve Officer for my local Sheriff's office for 20 years. Basically a volunteer police officer.
...hug her you bozos....
Congratulations!!!
