A pot meet kettle scenario.
Eh well got him there unless someone else has something to counter that. Though I don't think the Gangstas had gang signs or promoted any killing or mutilating did they? Like in Smoky Mountain at least?
@@popo0129 I think the line in which New Jack spoke of OJ Simpson and supporting the idea of him murdering a white man is ‘promoting killing’ as far as my understanding of it goes, which I wouldn’t really say the same for Nick Gage saying in the confines of a professional wrestling environment that he’s going to kill/maim/change somebodies life in a negative way. But again, sticks and stones. Jim just likes to pick and choose what he gets offended at because he’s guilty of the majority of the ‘crimes’ he’s so outspoken against.
@@CHRID I mean wasn't that OJ Simpson one just more of a shout out? They were called the Gangstas but I don't think they really did much stereotypical gang related stuff. A lot of people shoutout known gang members and aren't part of gangs, just mostly want to be associated with the people because it gives them cred. Nick Gage honestly I don't even think his MDK thing is really a gang related thing now that I think about it. It's just more like a slogan or just his motto gimmick. I just think the Cornette connection is kind of funny since the name does sound like a gang name and he says how Gage does gang signs which well to be honest, that too sweet NWO thing then should be considered a gang sign. I think with Gage though, the MDK would be shitted on, not so because it's a gang thing which it isn't, just more because what the initials stand for but in his specific field of work, it fits so not really anything there out of the ordinary.

These hardcore deathmatch style matches don't really have a place in a wrestling promotion that has anything besides deathmatch wrestling. It strips credibility from every single wrestler not doing a grotesquely violent spot. You're telling me a guest wrestler takes a hurricarana through glass for a 2 count? Well why the hell isn't he being signed when everyone else can be pinned for a 3 count from a regular finisher, he must be the toughest man alive

I just wanted to add my two cents worth about the Jericho vs. Nick Gage match. 1) It was a TERRIBLE idea to have Aubrey Edwards ref that match. If you're going to have an outlaw, mudshow, blood and guts match with broken light bulbs and broken glass everywhere, DON'T PUT YOUR ONLY FEMALE REFEREE IN THERE TO REF IT. What if she would have gotten hurt? I bet that would go over like a lead balloon. Imagine if she would have gotten glass in her eye and lost an eye. Oops. 2) Those light bulbs contain MERCURY. Very toxic heavy metal. It does horrific things to the body, and it very difficult to detox. And Jericho, Gage, and Aubrey were all 3 inhaling large amounts of it every time those bulbs broke. They might not know the effects of it for months or possibly even years. 3) I don't know anyone who enjoys outlaw mudshow wrestling. That hardcore garbage is NOT wrestling. It's lowest common denominator violence, it is not entertaining, and I wish they would quit doing it. 4) Nick Gage is so nasty, would you want his blood on you, mixing with your blood? I guess they've never heard of Hepatitis C. I bet they never even had him take a blood test before they hired him for this match, despite his history with prison and drugs, which endangered Jericho and Aubrey Edwards.

You folks do realize you can download the entire podcast if you don't want to wait, right?
The thing that really got me was when Jericho let him piledrive him. A professional, well trained, greatly respected wrestler infamously shattered somebody's neck doing that and Jericho is letting the guy famous for slashing his body apart with light tubes do it to him ON FUCKING GLASS.
I have lost a lot of respect for Jericho over the past year. He is a god damn idiot.
Well nick gage can wrestle pretty decently so I dont see the problem 👀
Fun fact deathmatches aren’t as dangerous as everyone thinks because most of the bumps are flat. So the statement doesn’t hold up.
@@BBest1996 That doesn't change the mechanics of the piledriver, which involve dropping a guy on his head no matter which way you slice it
@@chuckthunder781 both guys have been wrestling for 2 decades so I’m pretty sure they understand how a piledriver works. Also criticizing deathmatch wrestling and in that same vain praising a guy like Abdullah the butcher as Jim does isn’t sustainable because it’s the same type of match concept. A pot meet kettle scenario.
Isn’t Jericho worried about blading and mixing blood with Gage?

“Now we’re promoting gangs?” - Jim Cornette
Booked ‘The Gangstas’ - Jim Cornette
Haha, zing!
Eh well got him there unless someone else has something to counter that. Though I don't think the Gangstas had gang signs or promoted any killing or mutilating did they? Like in Smoky Mountain at least?
@Youtosux The name ‘The Gangstas’ does that in the exact way as Nick Gage’s Murder Death Kill Gang name for his fans promotes gangs
Murder death kill gang. Why doesnt Gage just call himself Simon Phoenix?

What an absolute mess of a match. Love how watching that match on YT immediately sent me to Cornettes view, this app knows me oh so well! 😂
Jericho almost died on National TV lmao
