I just purchased a PRS100 single needle and it came with all the fast frames but the large 7x14.. I need to find that frame :) I will be using my machine for sweatshirts. Thank you so much for the great videos. 3-5 am WOW! when do you sleep! I am going to watch all your videos.. Im new to Embroidery.
I have just found your videos and just wanted to say THANK YOU! I am just now starting to try to use my EZ Frames and your videos made me feel such more more comfortable with the learning process!!!
I have a Brother PR 620 embroidery machine with fast frames. I'm trying to determine how to place a child's shirt on the frame. I know to determine the center of the shirt and line that up with the notches on the frame. But having difficulty on how far down to place the neck on the frame. Tearing out stitching now. 🤪 And then confirming the machine's center on shirt to correspond with "my" center on the shirt. I able to do this on my single needle machine. But which of the 6 needles do I drop down to match my center if I should have to adjust by using arrows? Thank you for your help.
Love your video! Looking forward to one day being able to afford Fast Frames...so do you hv to use Sticky stabilizer Only with the Fast Frames?....Sheila M
Thanks Shelia!! Alot of people use cutaway or polymesh with fast frames using supaclips..or you can use sticky stabilizer with hoops....or you can use whatever stabilizer you want on your hoop and spray 505 spray (it makes things stick to whatever stabilizer you used) !! You have lots of options until you can get fast frames!!!
Hey! Thank you so much for creating this video! It is very helpful! I recently purchased a multi needle and am very very new to working with the fast frames! I am trying to use a 10x10 fast frame. I have saved my design as 9x9 in embrilliance to use on the 10x10 fast frame. When I save the design to my USB and try to load on my brother pr 650E, it does not load it as an option. When I save it as an 8x12 it does load into the machine via usb. Does this mean my largest design can be 8x8 as the largest size hoop my machine recognizes is an 8x8? Thank you so much for your help!
My Persona says it can do an 8x8 design, but with the fast frames I have it keep it much smaller to keep it from hitting the top part of the hoop. Do you have this same issue?
Some people don't it's your preference. I will either add a piece of iron on no show poly mesh stabilizer to the shirt and then apply to the fast frame or I will stick a layer of tear away in between the bottom of the frame and the bobbin holder thing( I don't know the precise name) once I place on machine! It depends on what you are Embroidering as well! Some things need cutaway! In that case I spray the item with 505 temporary adhesive and stick cut away to it then stick item to fast frame! Hope this helps!
WHen using Fast Frames, what do you choose since the multi-needles don't have the same sizes on the screen to choose from? So that you don't break needles.I always trace my design but I have to choose a hoop size & I don't know which ones, Thank you!
My brother doesn't let me choose the size so I just have to wing it, and trace a lot!!!! I would maybe try to choose a size close to the fast frame size if you can or bigger ! But like a said mine doest recognize fast frames so I just have to trace!
I ordered the 8 x 8 hoop and it will not work on my machine. Is there a way it will work? I made sure I ordered the right one and I did. I have the pr620. Thank you so much! I love watching your videos! Sharon :)
@@TheMonogramMompreneur yes I got it when I ordered the 7 in 1 frames. Do I need to rotate my design in my machine or maybe make the design smaller in embrillience? I’m not sure what I did lol.
@@TheMonogramMompreneur would you pretty please do a tutorial using the fast frames from the beginning like in embrillience showing what size hoop you use then showing how you attach it to your embroidery machine and if you have to rotate it not...pretty much from beginning to end. Thank you again 😊
@@TheMonogramMompreneur could you please tell me what size your design is in embrilliance when you make appliques. I may have made mine to big. I believe it measured 7 x 7. Thank you.
Sometimes my appliques don't fit the frame so I have to make sure I get the item on the frame in the perfect spot ! If it fits in the frame on your software but not when you put it on your item then adjust it and re-hoop it!
My fast frame keeps causing thread nesting on the bottom side. I'm using a sticky back stabilizer on the 5 x 4 frame. I have done the same design on a traditional hoop with the same stabilizer and it stitches great. It would be so much faster to use the fast frame and I wouldn't get hoop burn on my items. I THINK the fast frame is "bouncing" causing the thread nest. I've heard of a sticky stabilizer that doesn't leave a heavy sticky residue. If you know the name of that stabilizer I'd appreciate knowing it --- you mentioned Sulky --- does it leave less residue? Do you have any suggestions? Maybe the sticky stabilizer is sticking to the needles causing the "bouncing" (thread nesting). I have seen other embroiderers say that they use magnets to assist in holding the fabric which might help with the "bouncing" HOWEVER, I bought some bar magnets but they don't stick to my fast frames. ???? I'm confused. Any help that anyone can offer would be appreciated.
Oh that's a tough one!!! I have never done that before! I would say you need one of the long skinny ones and you might have to do one letter at a time! Or Cut sleeve embroider and sew it back together!! Sorry I am not much more help!
I have a Janome MB7 multineedle machine. I just got a 9" fast frame hoop to do a pillow. How do I tell my machine its a fast frame hoop> the center is too far forward (toward the machine) because of the 2" difference in placing the adapter hoop frame . I am stuck! My design is 7.25 x 7.50 so it would fit in the sewing area, but I cant center it properly!
My brother machine doesn’t recognize my fast frames so I have to trace and make sure it doesn’t hit the sides…Hmm if it doesn’t fit where the center is could you try upside down hooping ??? Where you put sticky stabilizer on the opposite side you would normally and cut a whole in stabilizer where embroidery will go? Use lots of pins! Or maybe just try re-hooping higher and move your center point on machine where it’s on the new center!!!
I think they are very similar products just different brands! Try Sulky brand sticky (it's a lot easier to get off) and I have found that adding another layer of tear away layered on outside somehow helps to tear it off easier! Also some people don't use sticky stabilizer they use painters tape and tear away or cut away and tape the stabilizer to the frames!! Hope this tips help!!
Um I don't have a good answer for that!! I just keep using until it gets too bulky then it comes off when you rip it off! It doesn't affect the stitch out with some sticky residue left on it.
I am not sure! I think Melco probably have their own version! I don't remove the excess so I can just patch and reuse the sticky stabilizer (it is expensive especially when using on my big 14" frame) and if you cleaned them every time meaning the sides you would be wasting a lot of time, they are just going to get sticky again!! Hope this helps!
Thanks!! I didn't realize it only went to 12" ! So are you saying the 14" fast frame wouldn't work past 12"? I have made some very large names and monograms but I'm not sure if I ever measured how wide it went! Thanks for your input!

Thanks i just got a 2nd hand 620. I will get fast frames. Awesome
Thank you sooooo much for making this!!!! Ahhhh!! So excited!! And 3AM-5AM?!? Girl!! You're a rock star!!!
What is it you have wrapped around the edge of your hoops before you apply the sticky stabilizer
Hi thank you can I ask with stretch material do you need to use a stabilizer on top please ?

Which frame do you set up to use on the machine ?

Which fast frame would you recommend using to embroidering vertically on a long sleeve

When using the 7x14 fast frame for adult appliqué shirts or big initials, what all backing do you use?
I use sticky stabilizer on the fast frame and depending on the item I will use no show fusible polymesh on the item!

Do you ever have problems with your machine going out of calibration when you snap the hoop in?
can you do applique with fast frames?
Yes! I use it to do applique shirts all the time!
