- We are on Svalbard, a group of Norwegian islands in the arctic, and the best place to meet the king of the arctic, the polar bear. I have been before on Svalbard in 2017 and 2019, so it was time again for me to visit this arctic place in 2022. For this trip we joined Arctic Wildlife Tours and 8 other wildlife photographers from Italy, France and Sweden. We embarked the Swedish ship MS Malmö for this 10 days trip along the coast of Svalbard, searching for wildlife and landscapes. The day before we embarked we had bad weather and our departure from Longyearbyen was delayed by ca. 6 hours, but finally we are on our way further North.
In this video we are going straight up to the North for around 15-16 hours to a place with a walrus colony.

Sometimes i see harbor seals in the wild they are awesome. Beautiful images of the animals from Svalbard.

Thanks for your comment Chris. 🙏 Yes, we've seen some Ivory gulls, but from a distance. If I recall it right I have some videos and images of an Ivory gull close to a polar bear in video 4 of my Svalbard episodes. 😊 greetings from Northern Norway 🇧🇻

This is a collar attached by some scientist to make research on female polar bears. 😊
