- Kyle and the Out of Spec crew spend a day at the track with the BMW M2. First starting at home the M2 needs to be an all-rounder car first - we drive it to the track and discuss the highway cruising comfort, we then go through the settings and options, and then finally get it out on track at High Plains Raceway.

Lol you should have let her leave you because you would have made it to the track sooner and probably have it all set up before she got there. Two stops and a third time at the track to charge.

Do you think it would benefit from going to 295 or 305 tires in the rear? I know it would certainly benefit from lighter forged wheels.
It's 200 lbs heavier than the previous M2.....but it's power to weight ratio is higher.

I have a 2023 model 3 and wife has i4 eDrive40 in sunset metallic orange and cognac interior. Her car is 100x better built and more luxurious inside. Zero comparison. Rear leg room sucks in both tbh. Comfort is much better in i4. But you pay for it. $16k difference with both (at time we got hers) getting $7500 tax credit. I love her Interior materials. Cognac might be different materials.

Just FYI if you're wearing a helmet with carbon buckets you can remove the front headrest cushion to have more space.

That's exactly why a lot of BMW enthusiasts don't like it because it's too different. Personally I've started to like it.
The G87 M2 does have the lane centering keeper. Just go to settings and turn it on. My 2024 M2 has it and I test drove a 2023 and it also has it. Go to lane departure and set it to “early” and check off “steering intervention”. It keeps the car pretty centered, AT&T least for me it does.
You have to have the safety systems option checked i believe (at least in Poland). When I was searching for one not all of them had it for some unknown reasons

A couple of guys have mentioned I would have gotten F87 over G87 due to looks and weight. I get it, but... How do you compare S55 to S58? Are the looks and lack of weight enough incentive to go to S55?
It is a legit question. I just do not know and am curious. Would love to hear from people that know.
I have a IS500 and love that car, but... Miss the manual. 🤦🏼♂️
It's definitely NOT ugly. Have you seen some of the competition?? I'll show you ugly. Wait....The G80 is pretty ugly. BTW this is properly sized.

Awesome video! Great feedback on track performance and comfort/drama balance. Seems like it drives more like a Porsche (stable and precise) vs. the eager and tossable character of the F87 and 1M. I like that!
Sounds like it needs better ducting to the front brakes for track use. Maybe there’s an aftermarket ducting available for it or upgrade to those expensive BMW carbon disc brakes.
Nope smoking breaks are completely normal after a couple of fast laps

Love that model S plaid unfortunately we won't see one in Australia as tesla has decided not to produce RHD S or Xs . Really poor decision by Tesla...😂
I was gunna upgrade from my 3LR to an S Plaid in the UK. Not anymore M3P I guess.

the bmw dealer wants me to drop 70k on a car i can't see up close let alone test drive ...wants be to buy it based on youtube video testimonials ... not going to happen
I'm sure you can find one to check out. I've seen two different specs at my dealer since the launch. But yeah you can't drive one unless they have a demo or your some social media influencer
