kim ki taek said that during the match the pips of his paddle came off and kept thinking whether he should change it or not. It distracted him and cost him the match. If you notice at 1:50 he looked at it and regret that he didn't change. Just one of those moments in sports of "could've should've would've". he said it in this video (watch?v=xKWmR72wMys) starting at 16:28.
@@msgozeki8511According to Waldner who played pretty much against everyone,RSM had the best footwork ever. There have been fast Chinese players close to the table but from mid distance there were much inferior the only exception being Wang Liqin.
Short shorts are better for movement.. long shorts hit ur knees as u run...for track that can cause distraction.. for table tennis it can reduce movement...not to mention you sweat ALOT in long shorts.
I'm actually fairly good at it. I was the best in my gym class with about 40 hits a minuest (It's not that good compared to pros though) I like ping pong a lot xD Its the only sport im good at lol
Personally I don't think you'll make it past the paperwork... Also you're 13, school is a big part of your social life, and table tennis training will take up a boatload of your time. And studies, don't forget studies. The best players take up table tennis when they are as young as 4 YEARS OLD. They win tournaments when they are 10. They forsake school, family, relationships to do one thing: Win at table tennis.
Go find yourself someone who is around the same skill level as you, and you get along with, then just train train train, and you will both get better and better together :) I better see u in the 2016 olympics buddy
0:44 That point alone was worth the Olympic gold medal.
ping pong is deceptively hard my friend, it takes a huge amount of focus, speed, and god-like reflexes
Go korea , Love you . Congrats
You don't need strong arms in table tennis, more power actually comes from your legs and hips

who agrees with me that Korea always has the fastest table tennis players in the world?
China not Korea
China is kinda faster
Ryu seung min I believe was the fastest of our time. Currently maybe xu xin is fastest but ryu seung min had used much more footwork.
