I was one of Vicki’s junior deaconesses who helped to make communion bread. Now, years later, I am pastoring a church. I truly appreciated the meaning she spoke into the entire process: it has stuck with me all these years, to the point that I am preparing to create a family devotional/how-to. I was pleasantly surprised today to find she made a video series on the making of communion bread. I’m so glad to see it, thank you Mrs. Rutherford. ;)

Awesome. Yet another tool to use to share Christ with my grand children and others. Thank you. I had so much fun using the recipe for my husband and I. I cut it in half.

I love ur method ma'am. I love the fact that you don't normalize the process but relate it with the scriptures. Please can I reduce the oil? I live in a humid environment, do u need this method would be suitable? Thank you.

Can this be prepared ahead of time and frozen? In the Ziploc bag or after it's cooked?

Yes, it can be wrapped and frozen. We usually keep some to use between communion services if it is requested. But it's so easy to make a fresh batch that I usually choose to do that.

Freeze after baking. Will stay usable for a couple of weeks.

There's a lady who has like a cup or something and the priest gives the lady three bread in the cup I think and give one to her idk why she gets more communion bread

lindsay2114 , I’m not sure why either. It sounds like you go to a different church than what I attend. Are you comfortable asking the priest about it? Perhaps the lady takes communion bread to someone who can’t come to church.
