I followed your video and fixed my same model of powerwasher. Thanks for posting, it was a great help. I bought my carb kit from Jack's Small Engines for about $30. Came with 2 needed gaskets. Took off old carb and replaced with no problems although taking off the engine cover and starter recoil helped get to the clips for the electrical on/off switch. Great video! A great help! Solved the stupid fuel leak dead and started one pull.

Thank you for posting this video! My Cub Cadet mower has this 173cc Kohler engine. I was about to take it to a shop, but after watching this i ordered the part off of Amazon and did it myself in about 30 minutes. I'm in no way good with working on engines, but this was a snap. There were a few more things to unbolt and work around, but it started first pull and ran great.

Love the video, the only thing I wish you would have done is wash the plastic cover assembly. It would look much nicer for the customer and also keep a bit of debris from being sucked in.

Thanks for the video, it helped me a lot. The carb was leaking fuel out the throat and I could not find the problem. Bout a brand new card and it is leaking too. What do you think the problem is? Thanks, Mark

Could you tell me the size of the bushing that goes between the block and the air cleaner housing on the long bolt? Was changing out the carb and lost it!! The parts diagram for this engine does not list the bushing:-(
    Thanks

probably should have cleaned the gas tank and replaced the fuel line. cheap and easy to do, and insurance that your new carb won't clog from sediment.

I have this pressure washer. I think the spark plug needs replaced, (and I do computer work by trade and engines are NOT my thing), but I cannot find the stupid spark plug! Could you tell me where it is on the XT-7?????? Thanks!

BTechnology 2016 you will need to remove the red cover on top to access the spark plug, makes life a lot easier to just remove the red cover, the plug should be right under the cover toward the front near the soap tank, thanks for watching!

Hi Could you please post the link from where you bought the carburetor.

Assuming you have this exact engine, I bought this carburetor with all needed gaskets from Amazon
      www.amazon.com/Kohler-853-22-S-Carburetor-Gaskets/dp/B009M4PYVK
You definitely want to confirm that your carburetor is the same before ordering. You can do that by taking your model and serial numbers off the engine and plugging them into partstree.com and find the carburetor part number you need, just to be safe. Thanks for watching!
