- In this video i will show you hot to upgrade Memory and SSD in your HP Probook 6470b laptop.
We added an additional 4GB Memory Module making it total 8GB of RAM and Samsung Evo 860 SSD Drive.

i have a problem i upgrade my hp but windows doesn't detect all the ram. in the bios yes but windows doesn't, all the memory goes to psysical hardware and only leaves the laptop with 2 gb no matter what, you put did you change something in the bios? And if so, what option was it?

hello your video is very helpful can I just put a 8 gb in to my laptop that already has 4 gb so I can make it 12 gb of ram
actually there is no benefit in putting 12 gb ram , as both modules have different capacity . in dual channel mode it will downgrade 8gb module to 4gb so both modules have same capacity i.e 4gb. max. So, the memory you will get by putting 8gb + 4gb is only 8GB.

I have this laptop. for a long time. I updated the latestest windows 10 and now it crashes every time I log in. system restores won't work at all.

Ram cam be DDR3L (Low Voltage) or Simple DDR3. SSD will significantly increase the performance of this old machine.

DDR3L (1.35V) or DDR3 (1.5V) PC3-12800 rams are supported.

Yes you can, it will significantly boost your laptop performance due to 4 Cores / 8 Threads. However 3630qm is quite difficult to get and expensive too.

Solid State Drive. at least 5 times faster than normal hard drive and for NVME data transfer is around 20 times faster.

yes, its fan sound, its very cheap and easy to replace hardly costs $5.
You can also try cleaning it by air blower.

Upgrade your ram to at least 8GB, in your case add another 4gb module and upgrade to SSD, any cheap brand will also significantly increase the performance of your laptop,

there is no benefit in adding one single 8GB Ram module along with 4GB as ram capacity will remain 8gb instead of 12GB, so if you want to upgrade try adding 2 X 8GB ram modules.

@JOSE APONTE You can replace the 2gb memory, but don't use 2GB & 8GB modules together, as it will be only 4GB usable memory instead of 10GB, so better use 8gb single stick or 2X4GB. 1600mhz ddr3l ram is latest in this category . Hope it helps :)

If you've only one stick of 6GB then of course you could add another 6GB in the second slot. And yes, these apply to all the models of ProBook series.

1) Go to Settings.
2) Click on Accounts
3) In the Left Panel Click on Sign-in Options
4) Click on Windows Hello Fingerprint to Setup the Fingerprint option.
