there is a certain depth in the low end that i feel from the titan which i loved. The apogee was tighter but the lush feel of the titan. Man i loved it ...but the symphony sound stage and transient processing is really something. You have made a fan out of me for sure. Great video bro. Look forward to seeing more like this. The way in which you communicated your assessments was easy to understand and the blind tests were a very welcomed addition. Thank you for this.

Thanks so much for these videos! This channel has helped me so much along these past 4 years when it comes to producing and editing my own vocals. In a "real" studio situation, sure. You'll want your entry point to be as good as possible regardless, and this looks like a solid option. That being said, you do mention "bedroom" in the description, and for the vaaaaaaaast majority of people an interface that costs $6000 US is not even remotely viable. Most musicians that work from their home, outside of those who outright have proper studios at home, cheaper interfaces *will* be the better option. You'll get better audio quality, but basically all of the main "cheap" interfaces (Focusrite Scarlett, UA Volt, even Apogee's own One) will do a perfectly serviceable job in a home recording setting without spending the same amount of money as a used car. Of course, for a full-tilt studio setting capable of Atmos, etc, you'll want the absolute best, but there's definitely a use case for both "cheap" and high-end gear.

Devon, I know not many are not going to talk about this interface. But if you ever get a chance, listen to the SSL12. I highly recommend this interface to anyone cannot afford the the Apogee. It is so clean and clear then anything in its price mark... They upgraded everything from the SSL2 and 2+. I stand by it solely. Cause I was looking for the Hi-Fi sound as well.

The transients at the apogee sound significantly better than the Prism.
There is a slight mud in the low mids that does not exist in the apogee.

Dawg, mine is legit a behringer costed bout 50 dollars and the music I'm making still is as quality if not better than my competition. I started on half a surround sound system. Just the left signal so my mixing had to get critical. Life hits when it wants to so I had to get what I could

these test always confuse me because i'm not sure what exactly you're testing here. so you're sending a final 2-track mix from your converters DA's, into it's own AD's, which means you're hearing BOTH it's DA (which doesnt actually affect the sound of the mix, it affects your perception of the mix thus you make different mixing decisions) and it's AD's (which definitely does affect the mix, but only if tracked thru the interfaces AD's.)
so i guess my question is, what are you trying to show us here, how the DA converters sound (since the DA has its own distinct sound it's not an accurate representation of the AD's)? The pre amp test was solid since we're really hearing the difference in the AD converters.
maybe i'm wrong in my fundamental understanding somewhere, definitely down to be corrected. great video!

Don’t know about this one. I’ve been using the Prism Titan for two days now and I wouldn’t say the Apogee is better. I think both are equally good but for the price point, Prism Titan all the way.

an SE, mannn a regular USED MKII will smoke everything out here... EVERYONE has been wasting time not buying one of these...Apogee hasn't updated this mf in so long cause it was so far ahead of everything else... i bought one of these a few months back.. and i strugged not putting the gun in my mouth, cause if i would have bought this when it dropped i'd be at least grammy nom'd by now... i was wasting so much time adjusting what i couldn't even hear. Old mf'ers talking bout you can make a hit record on anything GTFOH .. Mastering studios been using this thing RELENTLESY for years with no upgrade plan... you know why? .. CAUSE AINT NO UPGRADE FROM THIS.
Album remasters etc all go through this thing. Push your VST's through a external preamp, and let them hit this AKM chip on the inside of this mf'er and jesus it make CHEAP VST's sound good after they hit the converter. BUY THIS MF'ER NOWWWWWWWWWWW IT WILL CHANGE THE WAY YOU MAKE MUSIC!!!!

I would love to hear this Apogee Symphony IO MKII Special Edition vs Lynx Aurora (N)! The Lynx Aurora (N) is still a mix and mastering bang, BANG Go-Getter! I've done a ton of these back-to-back face-offs with it, and I have chosen the Lynx Aurora (N) every time! I'm waiting for an interface to have the clarity, and the wide-open space image it has! Can you do one of those? I can send one of my Lynx Aurora (N) if you're interested...! I don't get on here but like once or twice a week so if i do not msg back right away give it couple days... I will get back to work out the details!

had the lynx hilo but if you read up on the complaints that thing lacking on the mid and low end bass it hasa beautiful stereo spread but lacking in the centre apogee has better depth than my hilo and not as hard soundings

Dope Video. I'd like to know how the Symphony I/O compares to the Symphony Desktop model. I don't exactly have $5000-6000 dollars laying around😅 but i might be able to swing $1500 if the converters are comparable.

Hi there! The Symphony Desktop features the same conversion quality as our Symphony I/O Mk II but the model that Deevon is our newest SE verion which is the best system we have ever made. Not sure what you currenlty have but the office favorite is the Symphony Desktop. You won't be disappointed 😊

wrong lynx is ok but its not all that .people complain about the the lack of low end in the low mids and lows i had it for 2 years and tried to like it but sold it for the mk2 which sounds better and can tame digital harshness , better depth. also lynx does not clip well
