My favorite moment was definitely with turtles 🐢🥰
Been praying for you guys. Good to see you all looking happy and healthy. God bless you and be with you guys.
the crafts were all so beautiful and fascinating but the turtles definitely was the highlight!
Very inspiring art and creativity flowing!!
I wish you all the best in the world!
Hope you stay safe and well!!
Thank you for all the soulful work you put into your videos!
Greetings from Nenne in Sweden
Lovely video, can't wait for more! Makes me want to visit Uzbekistan!
That was an amazing video! Thank you so much for sharing it with us, who can probably never travel there. I really would have loved to have purchased some of those beautiful crafts. So amazing!
I was wondering: did you feel safe there? Also how did you communicate: Does everyone there speak Russian?
So glad to see you and your family doing okay. It must be worrisome to be pregnant during this difficult time. I hope you are feeling well.
Fascination craft, the plate maker is incredible, what a beautiful workshop and school!
The craftsmanship of the plates is quite good! I'd want to look at everything! The carpets or tapestries are just jaw dropping awesome
What a beautiful place, and the handicrafts are stunning! There are many talented artisans there. All of the beautiful colors were amazing.
I loved the wall of blue plates! I want them all!!
What an incredible market! So many beautiful things. So nice that some of the artisans wanted to show you their craft and history...so interesting. Again a great video Vika🙂
In America, Joseph and the gospel Shepherds also wore loose striped shirts like that in our sunday school plays. 😆
Very beautiful and interesting 👏👏
Wow! Those dishes in that market were beautiful… If I was there visiting I probably would have purchased the tea set that was on the table out front.... the one white with the red on it
Hi Vika, Toyla and beautiful little Agatha, I'm so glad to see you again. I love the video and wished I was there. If I were a millionaire I would have to get the rugs with the flowers and at least one of the teas sets. Take care.
Very beautiful and incredible market. I love going to markets, such amazing things. That's the biggest market I've ever seen. Thank you for the nice video, really loved watching it.
Loved the market place. I, too, fell in love with the plates and rugs. I could afford a magnet but appreciate all the crafts. Sad that so many of the young people play on their phones and don't learn the crafts. God Bless
Thank you for the very interesting video :) there were so many beautiful things, in appreciate that you took the time to film the artists at work. Well made video! I am glad you are safe and secure 🙏.
I loved the pomegranate style too! But im partial to kore/persephone sort of motifs and they also remind me of like polish ukraine swedish even like folk dress/designs so i love those the white background usually red big flowers with green leaves i love that style its so timeless. The other patterns make me dizzy! Haha.
🌷😊💖
Ah what an amazing bazaar . I stop at 13:14 my grandmother has to have from this parfum bottle. Inside the bottle there was " rose flower oil " 🌹Lovely memories of my childhood. Love from İstanbul 🇹🇷 now I will continue to watch. 🙏🏻🌬🧿for you & your family.
So awesome about the man giving free lessons to children! Wonderful that they can continue the traditions.
I love traditional arts and crafts and these are gorgeous. Thank you for showing us that there is still some beauty and positivity in this complex and often cruel world of ours.
It's wonderful to see the artistry and people going about their lives in peace, and your happy family. It's in stark contrast to the awful news that weighs heavy on my heart. Life can be quiet beautiful if we love our neighbors and be kind with humility.
Exactly to love your neighbors like Polish love all they brothers and take care of 3 millions of them. Not all stayed, joining their families in the West, but that’s real love.

Vika loves beauty. 💟💕🤷♀️
Wow the man with the metal plates was so inspiring 😍 So sweet of him to show you around and show you how to do such a plate. It was very interesting 😊
Spasiva to your husband for all his homework for the interesting infomation, to Agatha for all of her interesting responses ☺️☺️ and to you for the thoughtful way you allow us to particpate in your experiences. Gracias
Hello Victoria, we have the same name! I am Mexican and my country enjoys many handicrafts with an impressive diversity, in different cities and cultures there is originality. As a Mexican I was moved with this video. I have been following you for a while I must tell you that I would love to visit the countries of the Caucasus. I am a literature student and have read about the fantastic tales of this area, it is fascinating.
Pd. in Spanish for two people who have the same name, they are called "tocayos", it is like a kind of brotherhood :)
Привет Vika & Hola Victoria,
living in Victoria BC Canada, I couldn't resist responding. So good to connect across the cultures, in what unites us: The appreciation of culture & beauty, of kindness & joy, of refined and timeless crafts...
This is to our shared humanity!
Thank you for being a fabulous guide and sharing Uzbekistan's treasures with us.
As a weaver and embroiderer, if you see any other interesting pieces, I would love to see them.
Many many thanks and the best of wishes to you all
Hello Vika, Tolya and Agatha.... so glad that you guys are well and safe. I love the tea sets and the bags you showed at the beginning. Beautiful market. Enjoy 😊
The tea sets were my favorite
So glad to see you and your little family safe and sound, and staying somewhere so beautiful! I loved the little wooden pomegranates!
So did I! I would have purchased one of those. 😉
Safe and sound from where tho? R u kidding me ?! =))))
Stunning market. Exceptional artisans and their wares. So much respect for their intricate crafts. What a treat! You obviously enjoyed it ... thank you for walking us through. Absolutely want to visit.
I have never wanted to go to Uzbekistan, but now I REALLY want to go to Uzbekistan! Thank you for sharing with us!
Same here!
Those metal plates are so beautiful I would totally get one if I had that kind of money, totally worth it!!
As an artist I understand how long it takes for some things and especially here in America it’s hard to price things because people want everything so cheap.
Yes, I also think that price there was very fair for everything handmade since it's a lot of hard work☺️ I’m sure it would cost much more in Europe or America.
@@VictoriaTerekhina if I ever get to go in that direction I will definitely stop by those places and get things.
I’m so glad that your family gets to experience those things even though it’s not for the best of reasons why you’re there.
The more I see your family vlogs the more I love how relentlessly optimistic Tolya is. It's so heartwarming to see him excited about all the local art and seeing new things even though I know it's always difficult to relocate. I love traveling around (virtually) with you and your family! So much love to you and your family from California, USA!
Oh the inkwell and the different colours for the days of the week! This has been a really fascinating vlog. Thank you! I love learning about the history of places. I also think it is wonderful that they are trying to the traditional skills going. I do hope they do :)
Yes, buy a plate and eat from that one only 😂 What a wonderful education for Agatha! She must be learning so many new things now xx
Viktoria Kovalenko saw her 12 year old daughter die from a Russian attack. She saw her daughter fall and that her head was gone. Her husband was killed in the same attack. They were a family trying to drive to safety. - BBC.
So happy to see you guys safe and sound! Hugs from Russian expat family in the Netherlands! The market is so picturesque and authentic! Absolutely love it! 💙
Oh hi! I've watched some of your videos when we had some thoughts about the Netherlands about a year ago😅 Your channel was helpful and informative💛
The Netherlands is dear to me! We were born and raised in Nijmegen. Moved to the USA in 1974.
Stop the War on Ukraine Russians
Very interesting! The tea sets are incredibly beautiful. I wondered if they are available here in Europe, too, and I found some on Etsy - but not for 50 Dollars as in Uzbekistan, but for over 120 Dollars plus shipping (Dollar is nearly the same as in Euro). A lot of money! But very unique and beautiful... ♥
I wish you three all the best in these crazy times, stay safe! Looking forward to your next video!
Hello Vika, Tolya, and Agatha.💕So nice to see this and to know you are all well. Sending you big hugs and greetings from Boston🇺🇸
greetings to you, I lived in Boston for many years, now in Rhode Island :)
How do you support Ukraine. I am just interested?
My husband and I follow your channel for a while, your videos are already part of our weekends routine :-) they are always very interesting, but this one was so special and it spoke to my heart, as you were able to show the passion for the arts & crafts from these people, their craftsmanship is impressive. It was very inspiring, thank you so much for sharing your amazing experience, Uzbekistan is for sure in our bucket list now ♡
Toyla is a peach. A pomagranate. Aka, a good guy!!
You were in an ancient city. V interesting. Arts and crafts products are so beautiful. Sellers talk about $ . Is it US dollars? Thanks for sharing.
thank you for all your videos. I feel compelled to leave your channel. with great regret but given the current situation. I wish you a lot of good things. and your beautiful smile will be greatly missed. friendship of a simple french 😉
What a feast for my eyes! I loved the enameled plates, the carpets…they remind me of Aladdin’s magic carpet ride. So exotic!!! Love love love the tour. But I cannot get out of my mind why you left Russia and how much Ukrainian people have lost. It breaks my heart. But I’m very glad to see you and your family are doing well.
Omg I would buy so many of these . Have you thought about making an online shop? For your viewers
Hi, Vika, incredible artisans and probably worth every penny. I liked the plates with their mandalas, the bird scissors (I’ve one, too!) and the carpets a piece from heaven. I like the ones with small squares on it. These things need time… just to watch, but of course more to make them. When I travel I use to visit artisans, too. If I like their work, I take a small piece with me to honour their work and to use it of course. Such pieces change a house to a home. I work with wool and colours and could really enjoy all these things, made with sweat, love and talent. Thank you for sharing, love, take care, Monika❣
So good to hear from you.
I am so happy you're family is in a much safer situation. I imagine you've already seen this many times in the comments, but most of the rest of the world know what's happening in Ukraine is not something the majority of Russians want.
As an American who understands what is happening ... I am with you.
The artisan at 15:10 is phenomenal! The artisans are so talented and I really enjoyed learning about their art through your video I really enjoyed it. Agatha is adorable and I'm very happy to see you are well. Praying for your health and safety from Canada 💖
If you were to pick one special thing, it would be hard to choose!😊
Wow soooo interesting ❣️ I enjoyed the man telling about his craft he really was a passionate man and it was so interesting to hear him I’m glad you get to do some things that keep your mind off of being homesick and gives Agatha a chance to work off some energy walking around well at least dad in his arms😁😂
So glad to see a video. I was getting worried. You and your family look well and happy.
This was SO interresting... thank you!
maybe you could open an online Shop with those plates and other art they sell there? I would buy one
May God bless you and keep you all safe and secure. May you be protected and guided by the Holy Spirit as you travel, and may Christ's love and joy always be in your hearts! Love from California 💜🙏
I love the metal and enamel plates the best. Especially the gold blue colors. Cool shop owner too.
And Naan isn't english, but most Americans will probably know what you mean. It's from Asia, and in English it would be flatbread. But naan sounds cooler anyways haha
I just adore these videos, it's like touring a new place with friends. God bless you and your beautiful little family!
I think what she meant is Uzbekhistan Non bread and it's different from naan bread, I had it once in Uzbekhistan restaurant and it is completely different shape and dough :) love both though - naan and non :D
@@lifeofhaines non bread? I didn't know there was such a thing.
Naan and flatbread are different breads entirely!
Anyone from the UK would know, its a shame there isn't so much south Asian food in the US. Found very few places that listed more than just "curry" when I was there.
@@TheDolphace true! :( bring me real curry someone please. Lmao
Naan bread is different from flatbread, and still called naan in English lol. It's fantastic!
Thank you for showing us around and reminding us that the world is filled with wonderful people creating beautiful things.
I really enjoyed seeing the incredible workmanship of these artisans. Thank you for taking us with you, the market was absolutely stunning! 😊💗✝🕊
We’re those prices in US dollars? Those tea sets were absolutely beautiful
Yes, US dollars☺️
Thank you for showing us the souvenir market. It was so very interesting. I loved Anwar and his metal work and ?rug/wall covering making. The blue one he is making just now is stunning. He is a true artist. Wonderful that he is taking time to teach children too. Also the knife and scissor maker. I guess the market, and city, are quite busy during the warmer months and holidays. Such interesting architecture.
Just beautiful!! ❤️😍
Thank you for showing us around Ubezistan.. I love the crafts most especially the intricate designs, the carpets, the embroidery, the jewelries, the plates! Everything ❤️
As an artist myself... It sure feels that I was also touring the beautiful place, and seeing the arts and crafts... So intricate, colorful.. Love it all🥰
Greetings from the Philippines 🇵🇭
Stay safe😘💖
"nothing breaks in here, bro" I laughed so hard
So many amazing things! I've been to nearby countries, where my parents were born and seen similar things. My main feeling right now is I am bursting with happiness that you three are safe! 💕💞🙏 You are so smart, and so brave. I am older, and you fill me with hope and pride in our young people of the world. 😇
Hello Victoria that you are safe and thank you for the tour xoxo
Thank you for posting!! Be safe
Thank you for this extremely interesting video and lovely to see your gorgeous smile and beautiful family 🥰
Everything is beautiful and colourful. Thanks for showing us around. 👍 😁
I hope when you reach your final destination on this new life adventure. You will have access to a P O. Box so gifts can be sent. The pateron seems to take so much in fees. Prayers of safety for all four of you.
So good to see you again, Was hoping that you are okay.
OH MY! These designs are beautiful and the Craftsmanship is amazing! I wish I could get one of everything!!! Lol… thank you for sharing ALL of this… glad to see you are ALL well.
Amazing skill and artistry displayed. It was good to learn about the school program too. Thank you for sharing your day. You made me smile with the “Joseph” robe comment 😊 Wishing you and your family peace❤
So good to see you three. What a wonderful journey through the market. The architecture and the hand-made items for sale are just beautiful. I really enjoyed hearing the plate maker talk about his work and his school, and then give a demonstration. Blessings to you from Virginia, USA.
Hello, fellow Virginian! :)
i have found and bought plates and bowls just like those at vintage and secondhand markets here in France:O im always on the hunt for plates and bowls cause they are superpretty and handy to present food in ( we have a catering business)
Although i think the ones i have are Morrocan since France has ties with Morroco.
I have found a craftsman who makes these also and also makes ceramic washing bowls for bathrooms in this style and i am in love😍, we are rebuilding the bathroom later this year and i am so getting one of those washing bowls
😍 Uzbekistan certainly looks like a country steeped in crafts and culture😍
Cлава Україні
A good video! Bukharo is awesome
I'm relieved to hear from you! 💕
And happy you're safe!
Those markets are beautiful.
Funny to see that some sellers were not around. If they would do that here in the Netherlands, all their stuff would get stolen! 🤣
Yes I have heard that crime is a big problem in the Netherlands. Sad.
@@trailerparksupervisor7046 every country has crime you idiot. Are you stupid?
@@trailerparksupervisor7046 how did you get promoted to the rank of Supervisor when you are so stupid??
Wow! I woulda thought they’d be the opposite! I live in Houston Tx and I check my car every morning 😳 gotta make sure the tires are still attached 😫 I find it nice these hardworking folks can step away for a moment and their belongings will be there still when they come back!! I love your videos hun, and your family is absolutely lovely!! My husband is formerly from Soviet/Russia, and we pray every day for peace! Russia is a beautiful country and Russians are amazing, saddens my heart to think so Many peoples perception lately is negative about this country, I understand and I watch the news, in the states and Russian news and I wish so badly that people could see both sides of this story. Please you and your family stay safe and thanks for hard work always hun!
Thank you so much for the tour! Everything was so incredibly beautiful. The sellers were so talented as well.
You all seemed to be a little more relaxed which was nice to see.
Agatha is growing so fast and will be a wonderful big sister. Please try and rest and I look forward to your next vlog. Thank you again for sharing
I loved the metal/enamel plates! When my great aunt passed away I aquired some metal plates from her that look very similar. I don't know where she got them but she was a world traveler. I've always loved the intricate design and they are hanging in my bedroom. It was such a treat for me to see how they were most likely crafted!!
Very interesting. The painted plates you showed at the beginning of the video are beautiful. I have one very similar, I bought it as a souvenir of a holiday in Turkey.
Amazing craftsmanship. Please keep safe 🙏
Thanks Vika, this was a very cool vlog with so much information. Thank you for sharing. ❤️
Such beautiful souvenirs. The colours and all the different skills. Thank you for sharing this Victoria. Hope you all are well. Xx

The plates are so beautiful and intricate! I want to go to Uzbekistan now to check this place out.
Hey Vika, Tolya, Agatha & future baby sister! Glad to see you're all doing well and enjoying your travels. I love turtles and ethnic arts and crafts! Tolya's "homework" yielded a wonderful video filled with valuable information and beautiful designs. Well done, Tolya. And you as well, Vika, deciding which places to cover. My favorite part was watching Amla the craftsman at work in the brass shop and proudly showing you his school, information center and shop, telling you all the backstories. Cutest moment: "Nothing breaks in here, bro!" 🤣🤣🤣 Also, it was nice to hear Agatha's observations: on finger, fire, etc. Her mind is benefiting tremendously from all these new people, places and things: mental stimulation aids brain development and the ability to adapt to changes in life. That will help her in so many ways. It's even helping your unborn baby, who's receiving these benefits through you, Vika. As well as you and Tolya. Looking forward to your next video. Wishing you all the best in everything. Blessed be.
Thank you, what an amazing market, so much history, beautiful crafts, the skill is to be admired, so much to see, loved it
Can I take a handmade carpet from Uzbekistan abroad? do I need permission? And: where to get such a permit?
Very colourful items! Uzbek art is rather nice.
Everything looks so beautiful there! You and Tolya are quite knowledgeable. I think that a book written by the both of you would be enjoyed by many people, if you were ever to make one. Thank you for sharing your adventures!
I loved this video Vika! The plate-making art, wow! It also looked so calming, I can imagine you could carve the plate little by little when you are stressed and it would calm you down and ground you :) I love seeing craftsmen/women who are so passionate about their creations and happy to tell you about it without any expectation for you to buy their things.
I just wondered how would tourists from further afield buy those knives and scissors, because it's not something you could take on an airplane with you :)
If flying to the US, the scissors may be fine in carried luggage so long as the blade is very short (TSA rule is less than 4 inches). Otherwise you can put knives and other sharp objects like scissors in checked luggage (which you will not have access to in the airport or on the plane) so long as they are properly sheathed or ship them home via the postal service. You just need to disclose the knife as a souvenir on your customs form.
I would love to eat from such plates but I would be too scared to wash them. I have butter fingers axaxa
Me too🙈
I really like that there are no ad banners, price tags, sale banners etc. just simply the goods and products and thats it. Streets look very clean and neat thanks to that. Here in Europe we are overwhelmed with ads everywhere...
Amazing....thank you for sharing...keep safe..live from tge Philippines
So glad to see you again. Such beautiful plates. Love from USA
Wow, that inkwell is incredible!
I wish the plate dude had a website id totally buy at least a magnet or bracelet!
Oh my there are beautiful things at that market. I liked everything. Wow incredible talent. I loved how the shop artisan took time out to show you & talk about his craft. Maybe when you get settled you can one of those beautiful plates. If hang it on the wall. Live this video Vika. Love to you all fr Toronto , 🇨🇦
This was very, very interesting! Thanks for sharing this tiny slice of these artesian’s life!
Wonderful market! So much for sale. Beautiful artwork. Uzbecastan is a beautiful country. Great video! Safe trip!
Those are beautiful handmade things 💕🌺
Beautiful to see the local artisans at work,so pleased to see you,Tolya and Agatha safe and well 💖💖🙏🏻🙏🏻
Breadthtaking! I enjoyed the interview with the artisans. Thank you so much.😊🍁
