All the houses were lovely. I think the mystery house, as it usually is- was outstanding. Too remote for some, but I would absolutely love it. That is the kind of house that doesn't become available too often. Truly exquisite!
Yes, I absolutely agree! Those views, just stunning and the house was just gorgeous!
Best moments..thanks for all jonnie 😢
Really nice couple. Hope they find their perfect house with land,so that the donkeys will have a long and happy life.
All three nice homes, but #2 would be my choice. Liked the layout & style, and who can say no to a dovecote? What a great reading room. The view at the mystery house was wonderful, but I'd want to be able to walk to something.
"I'd be very happy to while away my time doing this", says Jonnie, and I'm sure this could have become his old age past time! Thinking about dear Jonnie and old age makes me feel grateful for every day I have towards ... and at 73 I'm allreaddy somewhat up there. Bless you Jonnie, wife and the Boys !
My goodness the view from the Mystery House is incredible.
They love it, but not the distance of the house from everything.
House 2 was lovely (they all are wonderful) and I believe they would do well there. If she doesn’t drive, it’s more practical.
Mystery House is beautiful!!!
Love this show! From Southern California.
Jules and Jonnie are both great hosts in my opinion.
I loved the 2nd house more. It had the best kitchen for me, was the cheapest, wasn't as remote as the mystery house, and had an already established downstairs bedroom with an ensuite, double garage, and an outbuilding.
Escape to the Country would not be the same without Johnny, Jules is only a close second, but the more recent batch of presenters are nowhere near. We all wish you well Johnny and look forward to 2024 being a good year for you.
Loved the mystery house but for this couple, the woodland does not help them in any way. if they want donkeys. Also you need to be sure you want to live so far from a community at that age.
Hold on - there's something wrong with this episode... a couple who don't want to have a side business of holiday lets or glamping?!
😅
Right? Tired of all these folks with zero hospitality experience who think holiday lets is easy money. Deep Cleaning after strangers on a daily/weekly basis is not easy.
Houses 1 and 2 were lovely. Mystery too far out for me personally but also nice.
what pitoresque places lovely❤❤
😊😊try to take some rabbits also lovely❤❤
😊😊how can the first house be small has 5 bedrooms just change the layout
how sweet donkeys are helped❤❤
Loved House 2, Seave Green House in Chop Gate. It didn’t sell until April 2018 though (£498,000) so I don’t think they went for that one.
👍👍👍 Real full episode including end credits. Every episode of Escape To The Country should be of this audio, visual and editing quality.
This is James Heriot country! House #2 was wonderful--House #3 has great views, but no room for donkeys!
she is annoying
She is a bit but he also did a shocker when it became clear that he had no clue what properties in North Yorkshire would cost.
okay, the woman is a drama queen - I'll pass on this one - but thanks for trying
Yes she’s a little extra, but you gotta love her dedication to animal welfare.

Unsure why ?? I've never like this host. Refuse to watch any show with him.
Well, you won’t have to see him anymore. He died of cancer earlier this year, leaving behind a beautiful family ( wife & 3 little boys). 😂
Unsure why you’d feel the need to be so rude about a dead man???
