  • This is a video I recorded while doing the soundcheck on the 4th of October 2016 at Edge Hill University with Bandit & Butler.
I used the in-house PA system that the university had (Adlib Audio speakers and Crown XTi Amplifiers) but provided everything else including microphones, cables, stands, monitors and just about everything else as the venue did not have any themselves.
I used my trusty Soundcraft Spirit 8 mixer coupled with the Zoom Studio 1204 multi-effects unit, Numark MP-103 CD/USB player, Yamaha GQ2015A graphic for front of house.
Monitors/wedges were run through a Gemini EQx80 graphic, Sabine FBX2020 automatic feedback destroyer and McGregor SA500 amplifier.
I also had my Tascam US-16x08 USB audio interface connected to the mixing desk direct outputs and Avid Pro Tools 11 to record the entire gig onto my laptop as 16 separate mono channels.
This video was recorded by me on the fly when doing a sound check and putting the live mix together, apologies for the shakes!
