And what state is that? In NJ, most of the dual market (recreational / medical) dispensaries provide separate shopping hours and/or inventory dedicated solely to medical users. Plus, medical users no longer have to pay sales tax. You have a lot of places to choose from and the list is growing every day.

It literally just picked back up about 2 weeks ago, but it's been a mess for months... Yes, card holders get a few specials. There is no sales tax, but standard prices have risen more than 150%-200% since the new legalization. From 9-10am is special hours, which is ONLY 1 hr comparatively. Yes, we get higher grade/access to concentrates (expensive as hell), but as soon as recreational started, they've changed the equation to calculate potency to benefit recreational and give them access to higher strains. This, in turn, reserved less for card holders and hurt the people who needed it the most. Now, we're just an afterthought... We kept the lights on while they waited for recreational, and now we're the minority and are being neglected. CO and CA had the SAME problem, but i had NO IDEA until AFTER! Lobbyists pushed to surpress the negatives/fallout via local news channels for their own selfish gain, and now here we are. None of the growers were prepared, and it was HORRIBLE for MONTHS! Medical card holders NEED to remain the priority.
The look @ the other states who have legalized marijuana & how their car accidents have changed. Yes for a SHORT period of time they went up but after the excitement calms down the traffic accidents went down to not too much of a difference than before the legalization happened. I live in Arizona & that's what happened in our state.

There's a glut of marijuana in the country. Demand isn't as strong as anticipated. 1lb of marijuana that used to cost $3000-$4000, 10 years ago now costs $1500-$2500. And there's a shelf life on these plants. If you're paying $60+ with tax for 3.5 grams. Thats $7,680 for a pound of weed. That you're smoking 1/8 at a time.
There's no shelf life on pot. The THC doesn't go away. But terpenes might weaken some, considering they help with the moisture content. You also can't buy pot by the pound at dispensaries. Since you're buying off the streets, it's wise to only buy by the pound. It's less likely to be laced. LE have found bags of pot laced with fentanyl over the last few years.
