Thank you, Carissa, for this video. I am scouring RUclips to try and figure out how to get my stick back on my mat that fits inside my MISTI. I have always been careful to store it with the protectors on both sides but have found, after maybe a dozen uses, it's lost a significant amount of stick. I've washed it under cold water (no soap), let it air dry, but it still doesn't have much stick. Would you have any suggestions? I see you mention stamp cleaner but don't see it listed above as to which kind you use. I have a few different kinds but am not sure which would be ok to use. I wish Waffle Flower had a video specifically on cleaning. Thanks so much, I appreciate your creativity and your videos.
Great tip! Thanks!! For red rubber mounted stamps, do you just take your grip mat in and out of your Misti? Or do you have a Misti that you keep without a grip mat just for red rubber mounted stamps?
i bougth 2 mats for my misties and both came with extra plastic, when i was trying to put them in they did not fit. i call simon says stamps and they said they never hear about this problem. i didnt get any help from them so i just cut them with my trimmer, it was hard to do it but i think i get it right, just not happy paying so much money and not sure if that how it suppost to work. thank you for the video
Simon Says Stamp has never offered help - or even bothered to reply - if I have a question regarding a purchase. I love their exclusive products, but hold no respect for the company’s owner. Designers seem to adore her…she doesn’t even get their names right. In my opinion, she comes off as greedy.
I know it's been four months, but for others that may read your comment. The grip mats come with two plastic sheets -- one on either side. That is to keep it pristine until you open the package. They are meant to be removed. In doing so, one sticky side will adhere to the MISTI and the other sticky side will be used to hold onto your cardstock. You can reuse the plastic pieces for creating stencils, shaker cards, or anything else you can think of.
How do you know which direction the grip mat should go? It seems like either side could be top or bottom. I just peeled off the plastic and put it in. I do not use the alignment guide at all.
Thank you for sharing the alternate technique for placing the grip mat in.
Hi Carissa! Thank you for Tutorial. It's another great
way to add to our Misti's. 🤗
Thank you for the tutorial & tips!😊
Amazing tutorial!! Love your channel

Great tutorial! ❤❤❤

Fantastic tip thankyou x

I do the latter. I have a MISTI that I have the foam pad in and then remove that for red rubber stamps. My other MISTIs I leave the grip mat in them.
Thanks!@@JenniferSKinney
I noticed my grip mat held my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform alittle too hard. It’s a good idea to put that plastic cover🎨
Tell me what you use each one for. I have one but I'm getting #2. What do you use #3 or more for. I'm very interested.
Hi Carissa, have you tried the new Simon Says Stamp tacky mat? Not sure why they made that… why compete with Waffleflower?
Just wondering - Comparing WAFFLE FLOWER GRIP MATS - Which one has a better GRIP - Version 1 or Version 2 ? Thanks for any opinions.
@@myramoore7925 I only have version one. But I believe version two is grippier.
@@carissawileyThanks so much for responding.😊

Did you have to trim down your alignment guide to fit it in the misti?
No. 🤗

The front side is the tiniest bit smaller
❤️❤️❤️
You mentioned other uses for the grip mat...what are they? Have bought so many over the years...none really worked.
Love my Waffle Flower Grip mat! The best of any I have had.
Is this as sticky as Brutus Monroe grip mat? It has ripped everything I’ve made. 😢
@@seapickles7754 it does not have adhesive. It is the same material as a clear stamp and it hasn’t ever ripped anything that I have used it with.
