I have to say Refika is the most lovely cooking host I've ever seen before! I totally admire her passion and style. You can taste the love for food, Turkey and family tradition. Is a great example for everyone. I'm Latino, living in Germany and definitely will try to meet such inspiring woman!
Forty rules of love is a masterpiece, my no.1 book... I haven't read a book that is even closer to the level of FROL. Falafel and humus is a bomb combo 😍 glad that I gotta taste it in Istanbul 😋
I love how you are so conscious of the impact of what we do, what we eat and how we eat. Thanks for these very valuable tips that go beyond a simple recipe.
I just love your approach to life: cooking at home, sharing, never waste anything. I live like this in Canada. People think I am nuts. I am Polish. After 30 years we are moving back home where we eat what we grow. All the best to you. M
You have no idea how happy you made me with your beautiful opening statement which is totally correct. I also love the recipes. So good to be a part of this family. 🥰
I too love connecting with countless others around the globe via Refika's Kitchen! It feels like we're all sitting down together to share a meal. Greetings from London! 👋
@@Refika I love you i love the way you talk you cook i want to be in your kitchen team 😅all your team is amazing love you all when they all eat you dishes i feel jealous😅 Love from Pakistan❤️❤️
I got hooked on your videos and recipes, Refika. I'm not a veggie, but absolutely opened for a more plant based diet, for which your kitchen gives very inspirative and helpful recipes and ideas. And I also like your attitude to save as much food as you can, and not throw them away. And last, but not least, thanks for your sense of humor which makes the videos soooo amusing! Greetings from Hungary!
Thank you for the spiritual parts, I truly appreciate this. The advice about keeping the food processor on while adding an ice cube every few minutes is mind blowing. I have been making hummus for years, and this makes me stop and think!
Love how you try to bring food & values of humanity together. The food looks yummy & the quotes you read out were 👌Sending lots of love from India. We all will have an amazing 2022🎉👼❤️
Thank you so much for everything you have shared with us this year. I heard about the horrible inflation in Turkey on the news this week. I hope all of you and yours will get through the current crisis and that the New Year will bring you much love, joy, and peace!
Hi Refika, greetings from Australia! Thank you for keeping me company and keeping up the spirit far away from home. Just ordered your book on Amazon, so it will fly to Australia too:-) Admiration for what you are doing with passion and heart.
I love all your videos, but this one was extra special! I love all the beautiful quotes from the book and I love how you believe that love is transferred into foods from your hands. I feel the same way. And I'm so stoked you made a recipe for vegetarians. I have been a vegetarian for 40 years now. This recipe can be gluten-free, if you use a gluten-free flour blend, and gluten-free breadcrumbs, easily available, at least in the US. Thank you so much. I'm sending all my best wishes to you and your team and your family for a Happy New Year!!! 😊
The 40 rules of love is one of my all time favorite books. I love that you opened with that and I love ALL of your videos. I’m lucky enough that I get to watch both the Turkish and English videos. Thank you for your knowledge and your videos. So much love from Australia ❤️

Since we are approximately 100 days from Ramadhan, I'm thinking the Eatballs will make a great substitute for those days when meat is just too much to handle on fasting days Oh, yes please! I will definitely purchase a signed copy, a gift to self for my B'day coming up in a few weeks time! I too, love the connecting stories with each of your recipes, another great reason to share with all of us around the globe
I made these "eatballs" and hummus yesterday for a dinner party we had last night and they were a HUGE hit. Everyone loved them. I made 2 kinds. One kind was exactly your recipe and the second was similar but had the addition of mint and oregano and instead of haloumi I used feta. I can't say which one was more popular as there was nothing left! Love to you Refika, and to your talented and lovely crew!!
YOUR TEAM REALLY BRINGS THE SUNSHINE ALL OVER THE WORLD! I love seeing your group eat together as a FAMILY! THANK YOU FOR THE INSPIRATION and SHARING YOUR LOVE!! MAKES ME WANT TO GO TO YOUR COUNTRY!
I am still experimenting with correct temperature on my electric cooktop (and with different oils for frying), but despite my shortcomings this recipe is WONDERFUL! So delicious. I'm sure with more attention to oil temp and using hazelnut oil, my efforts will be much improved. And thank you for the introduction to Elif Shafak - The Forty Rules Of Love is on my list with your help. So beautifully written!
I like falafel, however, I am a cheese freak so I think I will adore this……thank you…..and I love the poetry of your friend, it brings tears to the eyes…..
I made the meatballs today and have cooked one to taste while the rest chills in the fridge. The flavor is amazing! They remind me of a dish I had in Barcelona at a restaurant called Et tu Bola (maybe spelling it wrong). I didn't add the cheese because I have some family that try to avoid it. I also will have to wait on the basil hummus because for whatever reason I can't seem to get any fresh organic basil. Thank you so much for the videos, the recipes, techniques and sharing your Turkish culture with us!
Refika, my mum is Turkish, but i was born in England, so watching your videos helps me learn how to make the food my mum has always made, and feel closer to her culture, so thank you for everything you do.
Wherever we may come, we are all made in the one liking of God! You name The Almighty you want. But besides it all, you have been a spiritual guide, a guide for the lovely food and so much more! Love you!

Thanks for being so conscious of life, in a time where people have forgotten what really matters, treating eachother with love and respect. Dear Refika and team, this is why I love your videos so much. They teach us not only about food and cooking, but about your people, your beliefs, your country, and the beauty that surrounds us. That quote about patience spoke deeply to me - having the farsightedness to believe that the crescent needs time to become a full moon. Thank you and God bless.
Love Falafel...and these Eatballs. Looks fantastic and delicious. You convinced me to invest in a powerful food processor. Happy Holidays and a New Year.
I made these but replaced the gluten-wheat-flour with precooked corn meal/flour ( same I use to make a quick polenta) and that turned out great, so that's an option for the gluten-free.. And now I'm going to order that book😻
