    Can we give a hats off to Tim. He's always here, even if it's 2AM on a vacation? He's awesome. I really appreciate his coverage and thoughts.

      The staff got paid. A lot of people. Success isn't always what it appears to be. There are a lot of people involved in these projects behind the scenes. It's a win win imo.

    Big respect for all the people working on NG rocket science is no walk in the park. I get that rocket development philosophies are different in companies and that is what makes all this awesome. Its a great time to be alive and witness all these efforts, wishing them all the best when the rocket finally launches.....

    Hey Tim, even tho i watched this on replay an hour behind live & new it was a scrub i still watched all the way thru becuese of all the hard work i know you & your team put into making these .
    I learn something every time from you even though i have been a lifelong space nerd & its a pleasure hearing your wealth of knowledge on space flight & its physics.
    Keep up the fantastic work & make sure you find time for yourself in all this to avoid burn out,
    i know myself from being a successful world renowned sound engineer how easy it is to do to many things at once for to long & not notice,
    it creeps up on you then bam before you know it your in bed for a week.
    Thanks for your time & devotion to the space community & of course this coverage of Blue origins New Glenn, better a safe scrub & another go at flight than a big mess & no launch vehicle .
    See you next time round for hopefully a successful test flight from the guys & girls at BO, all the best from the UK.

    Tim youre the best. Been with you since you had like 3k subs. ❤ i feel your vibe working hard on videos while people think nothing is happening. This is so much work indeed. Love it!!

    This is one of the reasons why the fly early and often approach is better. All issues, even down to sensor failures, can be worked out. Also staff can be trained on procedure and equipment confidence remains high. This was their first launch, a scrub was the most likely outcome.

    The Swedish saying: "Shy boys never get to kiss pretty girls" just came to my mind. C'mon Blue Origin: you've taken years, months and days to prepare this. Just do it. "Why don’t you fix your little problem and light this candle?"

    "Safe cheap reliable space travel" remains as much a fiction today as it did 150 years ago, in the time of Jules Verne. And is likely to remain so for another 150 years 😲

    • @WolfHeathen
      @WolfHeathen 8 часов назад +1

      If we compare cost, a flight mission with a SpaceX rocket today is up to 97% cheaper than a Soyuz flight in the 60's. The payload cost with a Delta Heavy rocket in 2004 was 600% more expensive than the payload cost of a Falcon Heavy today, 20 years later. Space travel is still very much in its infancy but cost cutting has rapidly increased. It's only a matter of years before it's cheap enough to where it'll cost the same as sending a container ship around the world.

    • @mrtim7372
      @mrtim7372 8 часов назад

      It is possible already with SpaceX’s Falcon 9 to make spaceflight cheaper. That is why Mark Rober can afford to launch a little Satellite e.g. Blue Origin and SpaceX’s Star Ship are just the next step to decrease the price even further.
