How long does these last for? Also whats the name of the blender?

I took inspiration from this, I roasted almonds and walnuts and mixed the butter with cocoa, maple syrup and sea salt. Holy moly, I don't think I've tasted anything so good in a long time! Home made chocolate spread. Thank you!
What temperature did you roast the almonds and walnuts at?
@@vmicav8476 somewhere between 150 and 200 c I think
@@Toffnm make a business out of that ASAP man , I don’t think even that kind of combination of butter exist on the plant based market
Grocery stores been finessing us this whole time
HigH OFf ClorOx 😂
yeah the loons. $10 for a small jar of almond butter and all you need to make it yourself is a blender.
Nuts sold by weight in shops are not cheap unless highly discounted and near the end of their shelflife. Some of the material will be smeared into the blender, and require hot water to clean it (more cost). To make the product cheaper, I would stretch it with butter. Don't know any tasty vegan alternatives.
I made a pistachio butter and then put it on toast with smashed avacodo...highly recommend
I’m not vegan but I love your videos.. they are very helpful ❤️
I haven't made almond butter for a long time, but this is the way I do it. One thing I will point out is that the amount of almond butter is half the amount of the original nuts. (So two cups makes one cup of butter.) I just want to share a tip I learned when trying to double the recipe. Basically, it didn't work, and the food processor just wouldn't make the butter, until I removed half the nuts. (It ground up, it just wouldn't make the butter.) Since then, I would do two batches separately if I want to double the recipe.
I use chia seeds and milk to stretch my nut butters.
Chanah Minuk thanks a lot for the tip
Mentioning the oven temperature as that makes a huge difference in time required would be helpful too...
In the comments i saw that someone did it around 150-200 degrees
For unshelled peanuts it is good to roast them about 20-25 minutes on 350F/180 C°
For almonds same temperature but timing is different 10-15 min with cont. stirring
Hazelnuts same temp. And aprox. 15 min.
Keep in mind that not always they stick to this time. If needed you can take them out a bit later or earlier.
:)
@@user-mw4wl5zl1z There is 50 °C of difference between the two. Or, the latter is 33.33 % higher. So, I agree she should have mentioned the temperature.
it was nice to see a comparison of the volume of whole nuts vs volume of the butter :)
Instead of using nut milk in the hazelnut chocolate spread I would probably use a cooking oil of sorts to make it more shelf-stable.
Yeah probably but that quantity is too little to last long..it wouldn't last even a week in my house 😂😂😂
Could coconut oil be used?
@@calledqualifiedjustified9054 yes coconut oil would work, but the consistency may be a bit stiffer.
how long does it last with the nut milk ?
a different recipe I watched today "diluted" hers using a little bit of water...
Is it just me or has no one seen an oven that opens like a door?
Its a pizza oven I think or pastry oven, as its always looks like that
It's an Aga
I've seen a tonne, my old one used to. Maybe it's an English thing
@@moniquejankowsky8499 I think our ovens in England used to open that way. Mine pulls down though
abbie morrison it’s just you.
I’m not vegan, but I think sustainability is really important and I really enjoy your videos. You very rarely get instructed on how to make simple on-shelf products such as peanut butter, which is such a shame as it means people don’t think to make their own and waste a lot of plastic containers etc.
Well done for your section on a BBC article!!! I admire you for making a change and teaching people to live in a more sustainable way.
I am definitely going to be making the hazelnut spread!
I never thought that it would be so simple, bless you

I personally like to add a bit of coconut oil into my nut butter. It's easier to spread and tastes better!
I think is a cleaver idea with better final. I will do that😊

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! 😍😍😍 Nutella 😍😍😍
Can't wait to try this! I'm allergic to peanuts and any other nut butter is soo expensive in stores....
I came for the process but stayed for the great voice 👏
OMGGGGG soo cooll!!!!!!!!!
The vid was great. Never thought about chocolate hazelnut. Sounds very yummy. About your accent : Its beautiful, especially the way you say "buttah", combined with the tiniest little bit of a lithp (noticed it at the end) gives me shivers. Where are you from ?
What a weird coincidence. I was telling my co-worker that I wanted to learn how to make peanut butter this weekend. :-D
Oh wow, i will absolutely try making my own nut butters! The store-bought peanut butter has sugar added in it, so that would be a nice change!
