I noticed that my husband has been drinking heavier since our separation. I know he is not truly happy. He even admitted that he prayed and God told him to come back home but he is still in rebellion. He admitted to being scared to come back. He is double minded. He knows what he is doing is wrong. Lord break these soul ties, strongholds, addictions, demons that our lost spouses are dealing with.
God please heal, forgive, soften, remove all additions, hurtful words from the past and restore our spouses home with You Lord Jesus centre of our life. Amen 🙏💏🏡🙏

My spouse starting drinking way more and on a daily basis.
I seriously needed to hear this message. I’ve been wondering how my husband can seem so happy with this other woman and how he can openly show affection to her in church & seems like he’s living confidently in adultery. I need to stop focusing on my husband & what he’s doing and focus on Jesus & concentrate on how I can be a woman, wife & mother of God wants me to be. Transform me oh lord, mold me into the woman you want. I want to be in full obedience & walk in God’s will. ❤️🙏🏼
Yes my husband that I’m separated from will give me money, make sure the yard is cut, help take me to work when my car was in shop, etc but still seeing the other woman. I just pray to God about it. Let go and let God! You can’t control their behavior.

I must tell you. That it’s beautiful. Who you are becoming. Standing is such a beautiful experience. It’s the hardest thing one will ever go through. But if you can see what God is doing to your own heart, it’s God painting his own masterpiece. I don’t know how I’m even typing these words because there are so many days I feel I can’t even go on, but when I hear the humility and the love in your words, I realize what He is doing.
I’ve listened to many different people talk on the topic of standing for your marriage. In my opinion Sheila is hands down the best.

@@katherinebrown3371 don't give up. It's been over a year for my stand too (second time standing for my husband). No contact. God is definitely working on him. Depending on how hard your spouse's heart is and their rebellion, God has to keep them away from you so the spouse can see themselves in the mirror. Work on yourself in every aspect and forgive them as you pray and trust God to give your spouse the change of heart they need. Your spouse is not able to escape the voice and consequences from God. He needs your prayers 🙏
My prodigal looks so happy, is getting physically more fit and financially doing great, he doesn’t look like he is struggling or being judged by God. God has promised me restoration yet reality looks so different and sometimes I question whether I am standing here for years for no reason. 😢

My husband left 5 years ago after 20 years of marriage.
Divorce went final 2 years ago.
He move in with another women 1.5 year ago
Just found he gave her promise ring because engagement ring was not finished yet.
God gave me word of promise 5 years ago. So I have stood. Now got really hard hearing this news to still stand and to watch him marry this woman. He doing things with her that we did together. I really did not realize that my heart could break again after that has happened so far.
It’s so crazy how we are going through the same things… We don’t like to look at it, but it is the same. Double mindedness. Inpatient. But, What is love? Love is Long suffering. Love is patient. Love endures all things. Love never fails!!

My prodigal wife has said that she has found a new freedom in her life without God.
I said to her that if you have achieved a new freedom in a life of sin, you are the only person who has achieved that in the history of mankind.
Another thing the Holy Spirit has shown me, among many things, is that the love they think they have with the other person is not a true love because the relationship is built purely on sin and true love cannot be borne out of sin.
If true love could be built from sin, then God would have to change Himself and sin in order to make that true.
PS....my wife has also abandoned her children.
I am raising our 2 teens while she lives the life she thinks she needs. She then attempts to raise them over social media and phone calls, while being their friend instead of their mother. Another work of the enemy

The OW with my husband claims she's "helping" or "counseling" my husband because she's a Christian. As a Christian, How does she not see the enemy is using her to destroy our marriage? HOw does she continue to claim to be a Christian and not see how she is involved in destroying a marriage? How does she justify that God would want her to commit adultery? I came across a photo of the 2 of them, by accident, and of course they are playing happy family. It is soul crushing
You are completely right. I’ve always said all that glistens isn’t gold!! I left my family around thanksgiving 2006. I’ve regretted it every day!!!! I am married to the OM and it has been hard. I’ve reaped what I’ve sown. I have honestly always thought my EX and I would get back together and he still wants me. Unbelievable!!!! We are in a big mess and I want to be lead by our God but I truly want my family restored. I pray for all of you. Please pray for me too.

If you don’t mind my opinion. Stop waiting. Every day is non-refundable. We don’t get them back. Pray about it and move. If you feel that you want your family restored, then walk in what God has laid on your heart. God provides a plan, we must walk in it.

Sweet lady oh my word please I beg your repent and come back to your covenant husband honestly God has told me that he is calling you. Please dont waste another day without God. A lady I heard about two day's ago was out walking with your grandson in a stroller walked between two parked cars and was hit by a lorry and the grandchild killed outright and she is on life support. God is showing you grace and mercy today because no one knows when God requires their soul. Im going to fast and pray for you. God loves you holy spirit is drawing you back before its too late xx
God is absolutely faithful. All he promises come to pass. Just stay close to him his word his promises and be a good human and treat them with extra love no matter what. It hurts to see them with the other human yes. It hurts to places where u don't want to live anymore even more when they are loyal to them and treat you like you worth anything. But stay in love that's the key even if it's to hard you can do this knowing that you have God and his promise. And he will fulfill it 100000000000 percent. I saw it. It was hard it was insane and dancing on a border but God kept his promise.
It hit me really hard when you talk about fear for your children. It is exactly what I am going through too everyday. Fear of not being there for my son while he grows up.but this enlightens me a lot. I needed to hear this words everyday to continue pushing through.
I've been standing for 4 and a half years and I feel like giving up. The Lord even delivered me from drinking and I'm a year and a half clean. I am exhausted. It's been so long and it hurts
Be encouraged my husband walked out over 20 years ago and remarried.
Our sons are all grown and successful.
I have been praying for restoration all these years but truthfully only completely surrendered recently.
You can't want God's restoration and continue to be rebellious.
I stopped drinking about 3 years ago.
God faithfully provided and Blessed our 2 sons with an excellent education and jobs.
Be encouraged and know that we can't accept Christ Jesus as Savior but reject Him as Lord.
I made the mistake of reaching out to my husband today - he’s living with ow - we’re no contact - I recently gave him our child’s number because he’s been no contact with our boy either. His girlfriend tattooed his name on her- anyway I messaged him & he said why are you messaging me when our son has his own phone. I just said Happy Thanksgiving & I was thinking of him. Huge mistake

I had my brother tell me that my husband is 60 years old, adultery and cheating is just who he is and he is not going to change. Everyone says once a cheater always a cheater. It’s like God is not able. My brother doesn’t go to church. I didn’t ask him his opinion but he has been married for about 30 years. Everyone has an opinion when they find out you are separated.
Because of the free will aspect, we falsely believe God can not or will not save our spouse and restore our marriages.

Such a true and beautiful video, thank You for sharing. I can relate with this separation my husband is so hard, someone I no longer recognize or imagine purposely hurt me after 35 years married almost 40 years together. God hears my prayers and is changing me and praying and convict my husband who claims to be happier and more relaxed in years to me who never had restrictions ever and I forgave him for so much instantaneously and he walked away from me. Thank You God for your blessings forgivenes protection and pouring your precious blood over us and listening to this video teaching me.... thank You hopefully this hard season opens his heart and eyes and rebuke his non Christian people around him.

Sheila thanks for this video. Seconds into this message I wonder how my lost spouse keeps up with the double life he is living. Living at home with me his wife, even though we sleep apart and having the OW in another town. Keeping track of the lies must be so difficult. No wonder he drinks every night, sitting in his home office drowning himself in alcohol and shaking his head and literally speaking to himself. Maybe he is hearing God speaking to him I don't know but as much pain as he has caused me in my 6 year stand, I feel pity. I keep each day for salvation.
Wow this is heartbreaking. He is trying to drown out the Holy Spirit & nothing is working. The enemy is truly after the priests of our homes. I will be praying for you guys. Now that the marriage ministries for restoring marriages have increased on the Earth, the enemy is ratcheting up the demonic attacks against men, marriages and homes. Wow we need to pray. The enemy cannot have your spouse nor can he have mine in Jesus' name!

Thank you so much for sharing! My husband has been soo angry with me. Attacking me. I know I played a role trying to show him I’m “mad”. I started trying to control him. Now his lying is being exposed . I actually started seeing someone for myself and kids. This message has really opened my eyes and helped me. I just struggle not to focus on the girl he is seeing and the baby they are about to have.
My husband has never been Christian or isn't Christian- is restoration possible? I have turned to god since the breakdown and praying constantly for restoration.
Yes! Your prayer should be for his salvation. Put God first and everything else falls into place. Look up 1 Cor 7:13&14.

Satan is bringing this girl around thinking this will be my husband's downfall and my demise. Only for God to use this experience to make my faith stronger and my husband's pride weaker.
I don't care what it looks on the outside with my human eyes. God sees the heart and my husband is broken, searching for a place to call home refusing the only refuge that will stand in all storms.
It's heartbreaking and Satan is lavishing himself in the tears of my husband's soul and taunting me with my husbands vain laughter. But dawn will break the light will shine over all and repentance will be granted in its due time. Joy will resound and celebration will be ongoing and our laughter will never die out.
Gods plan is solid he wrote it before we were born. Nothing can change God's love for us, both of us!
Just an update to this comment. My husband was supposed to meet up with this girl but God blocked it. Specifically God did I did not physically interfere at all. And now he doesn't talk to her anymore and she's not interested from what it seems. She is a Christian I prayed for her as well. He is still has polygamist ambitions but God proved to me he is more than capable and I need to trust him yet again. He is preping the stage for my husband. He us searching for fulfillment and not finding it this will lead him to God. I'm so excited for all of our restorations!!

I struggle with unbelief that my spouse and other family will be saved because I know that most people will end up in the lake of fire. God will attempt to turn their heart over many years, but in the end they have free will to choose. Most will choose eternity without accepting the free gift of salvation. In addition, very few marriages are restored, again not because God is not working, but because they choose to ignore their calling to return home to their family. If God could change every hard heart, then hell would not exist for humans.

I struggle with telling my spouse not to contact me with mixed signals. My wayward wife has told she is still looking for peace even though she has been in a adulterous relationship for 2 years. She sends songs to me and phrases like "Thankyou for being patient with me." I just don't like to feel manipulated by my wife when she contacts me. Haven't looked at social media in months. I do feel better however when I don't talk to her. Is that focusing on the detail if you tell your spouse to only contact you when it comes to the kids?
You do not have to tell her to not contact you. Just don’t react. She is looking for a reaction either way. And telling her to not contact you is reacting.
Don't get caught up in their emotional Rollercoaster it means oftentimes Notthing to them as just the peace of holding you warm. I was always hoping after this signals of him that it will be soon that we are restored. But it crashed me when he after behaves total cold again and loyal to the other women. You need to stop looking for signs of her and start to ask God about. I was also in your season where I was so hurt and scared for new hurt that I decided to don't want to hear anything and live in peace. But God healed me and my pain and showed me that there is Notthing to fear or be hurt by because he already told me the ending > that he came back. As I 10000 percent trusted God that he keep his promise I didn't got hurt any more bye what I saw. Or better say not that much. When you love someone it will always hurt you but not to the degree of breaking apart. It helped me to recognize a pattern at one point, that the devil will attack when there is a breakthrough.. So when my spouse acted hurtful I know that the devil was going insane because he saw my blessing come closer. As I fully surrenderd to God and made him. My number 1 all what he promised came to pass. The other women left and all other things fall into place.
Definitely be honest with God about that don’t look at it as being manipulated look at it as her being double minded because of the enemy rebuke double mindedness in Jesus name

Can you touch more on the topic from the last 10mins of your video please? On what guidelines to follow when your husband has got one foot in the marriage and one foot in with the other person. And if you do try and put out that you wont stand to be manipulated anymore and they push back.

Wife and I just got off the phone and it was not good. We somehow ended up talking about our circumstances and she said that she can never trust me again and doesn’t want to reconcile. I told her that my hope and trust is in the Lord for reconciliation. She then said, what are you going to do when you realize God won’t do it?

When you talk to a person with a hard heart, you are going to get heart hearted advice, opinions and misguided information. There is not a restored couple out there that didn't hear somethng exactly like this from their spouse. Fear of going back to a place (marriage) that they are convinced was the reason for their unhappiness (discontentment) worry that this is not a real change in you, that we are just pretending to be a different person to win them over, are just a few of the things they believe because when they are snared in deception, this is the food the enemy hands them daily to eat and because that is the only food they are being fed, they take it.
Our job as Standers is to listen to them, validate their fears by sharing that you hear them, you understand what they are saying, and confirm that you are working on yourself with God because you want to be the man of God you were created to be. You are not here to convince your wife of your changes. You have to convince God! You also need to get your truth and direction from God. I had to learn to take every single thing my husband shared with me, good and bad to God and get the truth from Him. When I took what my husband was saying and tried to be led by it, I became unstable and shaky and all over the place. Press into God alone for your truth!

My problem Is i NEVER got anything in the short 5 years of my only marriage the most I got was during the dating stage. a month into marriage my wife shut down and the rest of the time I got ZERO from her so i literally have nothing to look forward to. I’ve been standing for 10 years even though this year he got remarried on our special month that we got married. He doesn’t look happy though.
I think my wife goes through this. Shes up for sexting every 2 weeks or so then ignores most texts the rest of the time. Pretty sure she does it to make herself feel better by thinking she's giving me what I want for a bit. There's no OP. I never asked her to come back to me or tell her I miss her. No push behaviors

60 “Arise,(A) shine, for your light(B) has come,
and the glory(C) of the Lord rises upon you.
2 See, darkness(D) covers the earth
and thick darkness(E) is over the peoples,
but the Lord rises upon you
and his glory appears over you.
3 Nations(F) will come to your light,(G)
and kings(H) to the brightness of your dawn.
4 “Lift up your eyes and look about you:
All assemble(I) and come to you;
your sons come from afar,(J)
and your daughters(K) are carried on the hip.(L)
5 Then you will look and be radiant,(M)
your heart will throb and swell with joy;(N)
the wealth(O) on the seas will be brought to you,
to you the riches of the nations will come.
6 Herds of camels(P) will cover your land,
young camels of Midian(Q) and Ephah.(R)
And all from Sheba(S) will come,
bearing gold and incense(T)
and proclaiming the praise(U) of the Lord.
7 All Kedar’s(V) flocks will be gathered to you,
the rams of Nebaioth will serve you;
they will be accepted as offerings(W) on my altar,(X)
and I will adorn my glorious temple.(Y)
8 “Who are these(Z) that fly along like clouds,(AA)
like doves to their nests?
9 Surely the islands(AB) look to me;
in the lead are the ships of Tarshish,[a](AC)
bringing(AD) your children from afar,
with their silver and gold,(AE)
to the honor(AF) of the Lord your God,
the Holy One(AG) of Israel,
for he has endowed you with splendor.(AH)
10 “Foreigners(AI) will rebuild your walls,
and their kings(AJ) will serve you.
Though in anger I struck you,
in favor(AK) I will show you compassion.(AL)
11 Your gates(AM) will always stand open,
they will never be shut, day or night,
so that people may bring you the wealth of the nations(AN)-
their kings(AO) led in triumphal procession.
12 For the nation or kingdom that will not serve(AP) you will perish;
it will be utterly ruined.(AQ)
13 “The glory of Lebanon(AR) will come to you,
the juniper, the fir and the cypress together,(AS)
to adorn my sanctuary;(AT)
and I will glorify the place for my feet.(AU)
14 The children of your oppressors(AV) will come bowing before you;
all who despise you will bow down(AW) at your feet
and will call you the City(AX) of the Lord,
Zion(AY) of the Holy One(AZ) of Israel.
15 “Although you have been forsaken(BA) and hated,
with no one traveling(BB) through,
I will make you the everlasting pride(BC)
and the joy(BD) of all generations.
16 You will drink the milk of nations
and be nursed(BE) at royal breasts.
Then you will know(BF) that I, the Lord, am your Savior,(BG)
your Redeemer,(BH) the Mighty One of Jacob.(BI)
17 Instead of bronze I will bring you gold,(BJ)
and silver in place of iron.
Instead of wood I will bring you bronze,
and iron in place of stones.
I will make peace(BK) your governor
and well-being your ruler.(BL)
18 No longer will violence(BM) be heard in your land,
nor ruin or destruction(BN) within your borders,
but you will call your walls Salvation(BO)
and your gates Praise.(BP)
19 The sun will no more be your light by day,
nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you,
for the Lord will be your everlasting light,(BQ)
and your God will be your glory.(BR)
20 Your sun(BS) will never set again,
and your moon will wane no more;
the Lord will be your everlasting light,
and your days of sorrow(BT) will end.
21 Then all your people will be righteous(BU)
and they will possess(BV) the land forever.
They are the shoot I have planted,(BW)
the work of my hands,(BX)
for the display of my splendor.(BY)
22 The least of you will become a thousand,
the smallest a mighty nation.(BZ)
I am the Lord;
in its time I will do this swiftly.”(CA)
But what if the spouse is not a believer and does not care about God? Then he will hardly be unhappy in his sin, will he?
Only born-again children of God are convicted by the Holy Spirit. God can, of course, speak to everyone, and does so.
But there is free will, and God will never force it, or how do you see it?
Free will is like a scrawny person arm wrestling God. Have you ever seen a guy hunched over a toilet making deals with God? God puts us in hard circumstances to enable us to turn from situations, it’s just a matter of how hard do the circumstances need to be to break someone.
Man's free will can never out weights God's sovereign will. Everything is just for a matter of time.
