I think women are being attacked more because their initiating close to 80% of divorces and mostly over money. Lord help my wife with her trauma Jesus deserved Paradise and He got a tomb Jesus deserved Love and He got Hate Jesus deserved life and He got death Jesus deserved Honor and Glory and he got jeers and slander. We are the ones who deserved the second death and He gave us Salvation and a Life in abundance!
Exactly! 💯 I don’t go to church because of how I was also treated before we landed up separated when I believe they could of helped us from this happening. So much I’ve had to get thru on my own. You stand for healing, forgivness. You stand for the children to have a restored, repaired relationship with their dad. You stand for your husband to SEE, know and understand what was done, repent and turn to God so he can mend his relationship with God and his children. Even if you don't want to be restored, there is a lot of things that are broken and in need of some one standing in the gap to be fixed.

What about the free will that God has given everyone? God will not force himself on anyone and sometimes people ask for their marriage to be restored and it isn’t. I don’t believe it’s because of God’s will but because of the will of an individual who won’t accept Christ. So, what is standing in that’s regard? I’m truly interested in perspective on that.
While we have a freedom to choose, and make our own choices, many are still very much in the dark as to what the consequences are going to bring. For example, as a parent, you may tell your child, go ahead and eat that, you are going to find out how upset your tummy is going to be. But then, intervene when they are to a point where they are going to really cause harm. God lets us choose. He lets us suffer the consequences, but then He will intervene for His children before bad consequences occur. Balaam and the donkey, is a great story to read. So with King David who God allowed to follow a bad path, but then sent Nathan to bring King David to repentance. We ARE free to choose, but NOT free from what those choices are going to bring. Night after night I watched my husband pace the floors deep in conviction and regret over the choices he was making. But he was still being stubborn and trying to fix his life without calling on God to help. And God would not let him out of the snare UNTIL he got on his knees and said the words God was waiting to hear, "I need God" and then the snare set him free and he turned his life around.

Also, God gave me a dream about a logic demonic spirit that comes to make you question the supernatural revelations and answers God gives us as His children. The entire Bible is supernatural and not logical. The entire Bible is about God doing the supernatural which is always opposite of logic. Study Gideon and the story of the Jericho wall coming down. This is why it is essential that as believers and standers specifically have to keep focus on God, stay in the Word which is the only truth and stop desiring and looking at a broken fallen world. You can research more on that ... but the difference between them and a contract is that blood had to be spilled to create it, as a representation of what would happen if the one(s) responsible to uphold it were to break it. This is why Moses was given permission to allow men to give divorce decrees (as was common in other groups of people in the ancient world) so that they would not kill their wives just to get out of the marriage. It was an act of grace, primarily towards women and their children, but was not ever God's will for any of His people. This is why Jesus tells the Pharisees (Matthew 19) that it was due to the hardness of their hearts Moses gave certificates of divorce, but God's reality is otherwise in His eyes. I believe Jesus speaks grace in Matthew 19 when he tells his bewildered disciples that, "not all men can accept this statement, but only those to whom it has been given." With that said, those of us who are standing are doing so because we have accepted and agreed with His perfect will. Ultimately, we need to seek God's heart to be right in this, because we are no longer to follow law, when we have entered in to a covenant of relationship with God we know Him and His hearts desire. When we know Him we will have a revelation of these things and the even heavier implications regarding covenants in the Bible.
What of standers without children between them? We wanted to, I believe, but had many troubles slow our attempts to do so. We were carnal, I will admit, but it felt like marriage to me even if we hadn't wed yet.
There are others in the exact same situation as you, as well as testimonies of marriages being restored even after remarriage! You can absolutely stand for your marriage! I am praying God hardens my heart, not so I will be hateful or bitter. Why? Because he took advantage of it three years a solid cruel stone that has not a word for me. It was not my heart he trampled on it was Gods heart in me, so why should I want to be a participant in this any more. Sure I am not praying for another spouse I am praying for a hard heart not to care because it makes no difference anyway and hope deferred makes the heart sick. First day I prayed I will have a hard heart, he doesn't respect my soft heart. Good luck to him when God turns my heart from him he will have to pray toGod to get it back.
Be careful because the hard heart is a heart that loses the oil of the Holy Spirit and is turned over to satan to by a choice. I am sure you are meaning that you want your love to grow cold to your husband so you no longer can be hurt. But a hard heart is a heart that is against the will, purpose and desire of God so it can do it's own thing and not care they are being selfish and rebellious. A hard heart is what is going to hear "depart from Me, I never knew you." Because they chose their will above the will of the Father. I would pray for God within you to strengthen you to do His will no matter what that will is. The last thing you want to do is put yourself into a place where you are being self focuses because that is exactly what your spouse is in.
Sheila, i need this today. Iv been married 17 years and 4 kids. My husband is selfish and has substance abuse issues. He behaves like a teenage boy. Iv caught him with porn in the living room and he is suicidal. We got into a huge fight the other night while i was at work and he told me doesnt care about me anymore and he doesnt care if i end up in a ditch. It broke me and i ended up telling him to leave by the time i got home. He did. We havent talked since i told him to get out. Thats been three days. I know that reaching out to him never helps and we have been in this situstion before. He will ignore me to hurt me. He has a history of cheating. I told him i was going to file divorce but i know thats not the right thing to do. Everyone including my therapist tells me to stay no contact and file for divorce and pray for me to be happy and move on. I dont feel like that is okay. I dont believe in divorce and never have. My husband has left before and he never divorces me either. I dont think deep down either of us wants a divorce we just dont know how to fix it and he doesnt try. I dont know where to go from here. My whole life has been attacked the last six months since he has been working for a woman eho stabbed her husband to desth and got off on self defense...and then turned around and talked her bf into killing her 25 year old son. My job has been attacked lately and my actual home, my kids, my marriage wnd my own sobriety from drinking. I have so much confussion that i am trying to pray through and for my husband. I am praying that all the ungodly influences stay away from my hsuband and I. I know that God hates divorce and that there is no way he is okay with people divorcing instead of working their problems out. I needed this so much today. I cry everyday and i cant even tell anyone that i am sad, and i am hurting, and i miss my husband, and ots hsrd for me to sleep or eat.
