This is truly one of the BEST podcasts I have ever heard. Mr. Boucher is a wealth of knowledge and a great storyteller. So much of this I have never heard before, all the behind the scenes stories. I wish I had found this before these hunting events happened this year. Thank you to both of you for putting this together. I would love to see a podcast with Mr. Hansen, King and Huff together! I'll stay tuned.
This is a Very Good Video ,and this ,man sound's like a very Honest Man ,if the King Buck's is the record then Sorry Milo your ad a Good Run ,now Pass The Torch ,that's it Plain and simple ,,,,Thank you Ron .
Ron is one heck of a guy and spot on period 👍👍 Lanny Benoit and I hunted to together back in 2005 and 2006 in Vermont muzzy hunt!! I feel Blessed that I had the opportunity to hunt together with Lanny 🇺🇸🗽🗽🦌 God bless all true American patriot hunters 🙏 The Vermonter and Legal American! Bert Saldi
Im no Peter Columbo But more and more I watch this interview I can almost put money on the fact that the only way bocher would do this interview is if mitch rompola was NOT mentioned Yeah- Hanson and his B&C croanies screwjobbed rompola
Pat great job!!! Great stories and I applaud you for trying to bring all the super hunters together in the future. If you need a facilitator, let me know. My area of expertise for many years. 🦌🦌
What a really great podcast! I enjoyed learning the particulars of Milo's hunt. Ron is a VERY likable guy, who really knows his stuff! I have an original 1974, signed by Larry, copy of How To Bag The Biggest Buck Of Your Life. Not that I want to sell it, but does anybody have any idea what this book might be worth? I've been told it's a high dollar book.
I saw the Hanson buck at an expo. Unbelievable. And that buck was only 3-1/2 years old. Can you imagine what he might have looked like at 6 or 7? They say he would probably have added junk, but who knows. Add mass to that frame, and the other one's a dink. Neither one of em equal the Illinois road kill buck.
The guys that hunted the huff buck only got the buck on cam during late season. There were 37 different pieces of private property between where they would have him every year on cam.
Keith Snyder who he mentioned is a a antler collector, you guys from the north east would love to see the couple deer he has from Maine. Check it out whitetail cribs Keith Snyder.
I have watched buck tracking on RUclips, I enjoy it. But the thing is you have to first live in an area that has snow during deer season. Next you have to have access to lots of land. Also you have to be in a place where there are big bucks...to kill a "big" buck. I might have the knack for tracking and maybe I could be the best ever, but you won't catch a king mackerel in New Hampshire and I won't find the land that holds big bucks, the genetics to have them, the snow during deer season to do it here in NC.
There is so much sketch about that I dismiss it. Mitch is the only one that knows the truth. If it's legit, congratulations to him. He's done nothing to quell the controversy, so either it isn't legit ( of the handful of very wide Michigan bucks, Mitch has several of them...) or if it is legit he's content to enjoy it by himself.
There has to be animosity if Milo won’t return Ron’s letters. Ron scoring King Buck must have set him off. F B&C and their ridiculous rule changes during the “game”.
Just looking at the two heads, I know it doesn't matter in scoring but to me the King buck would whoop the Milo buck if they met in the woods . The Milo buck would be running in retreat with broken tines. Both incredible animals but the Milo buck for the size of the rack has no girth. If I remember correctly one of these bucks I think the King buck was in a lawsuit about calling it "world record" without it being, maybe it was rampola but think it was the King buck. Either way politics in deer scoring, c'mon .
@@TimVanLoan yes I believe the owner of the King buck is who was sueing rampola because rampola was advertising it as "the world record" without having it officially scored, he was even offered a good chunk of money to have it x-rayed and proven but wouldn't, which to me proves it right there. If It was real have it x-rayed, take the money, have the record and disappear but instead he refused and just disappeared so? Besides rampola buck.didnt even look natural
@@TimVanLoan a guy in michigan bought the rights to display the world record from milo hansen. The guy from michigan is Craig Calderone he went after mitch and king. Never really had anything to do with milo because he had sold the rights
It is sad that the way these bucks are scored creates this drama. Both the King and Hanson bucks are magnificent animals and should be recognized and celebrated, but of course as humans money and ego get in the way. If I was lucky enough to take a buck anywhere near these two, my satisfaction would be to see it on my wall and just marvel at it. And of course tell the story over a few brews.
I would think if you are going to remove a person's deer from the number one spot the one you are replacing it with need to be without any question the number one deer. the person in the number one spot needs that respect shown to them. the King buck looks like the g3 is growing out of the g2 and the main beam and to me it is in question. it should be very hard to get a buck into the BC records and very hard to take the number one spot. Ron owes Milo and apology.
Ron’s 75 and has a lifetime of stories he obviously likes telling. You can always fast forward. It reminds me of listening to my grandpa tell stories. Interview was redirected respectfully when needed. Good job.
I suppose you simply can't please all of the people all of the time. Mr. @highonbusa6520 must simply not appreciate all that was discussed here, and that's ok. I wouldn't appreciate a podcast with Babe Ruth, Pete Rose and Barry Bonds. Just doesn't interest me. Different strokes for different folks. But I do not feel that should in any way degrade this excellent podcast for what it is, a great presentation of history and stories form someone in a unique position about the stories of some of the biggest whitetails ever to exist. I do wonder, if it was so painful, why did you complete all 15 sessions. I would have switched the baseball podcast off after the first minute and not return to it.
Nothing boring about this video! I was glued to it and I was headed to bed when it came up but I watched it til the end! Great stuff.

You can get those 3 guys together, but it still wont mean much to me unless Mitch and his buck is there.
Great interview!
Another great podcast 👍it would of been interesting on Ron's thought about mitch rompola bucks.
Yes I would love to hear he’s opinion on he rompola buck
Well they're talking about real deer with real racks
Ya know at this point with the rompola buck things like the kyruss buck and king buck make me thing it's legit. I just d k tho.

This fine gentlemen reminds me of all my uncles who served in Nam, ages 70-80 , man they so gracious when they talk, great chat
So many great stories in this one nice work as always man!!!!
Really enjoyed this!
I was lucky enough to stop by and visit Larry at his house back in 2004 . We sat and talked for an hour,

Excellent episode 👏👏 any luck at bringing these guys together ( update) Thanks

Johnny King got screwed. Damn shame.
Amen
I agree Johnny King got the shaft, there’s politics in the deer industry
Common base point no good

You need to get a hold of Steve Tucker, Who has his own Record non Typical, 333 an 7/8ths
His little dog loves his daddy ❤
The Johnny King buck is more impressive, than Milo buck because of the mass.
King Buck rules the world!
Yea, Mitch Rompola shot the Biggest Whitetail in the world.
