In many instances thats not a bad move. Underway battles are super advantageous for Dwarves. But yeah, you still have to know your enemy well enough to not overextend.
I always TELL myself I will do a better job sending heroes to scout out enemy territory and not get jumped by 3 armies I have to fight my way out of. (I dunno if I can handle 4 legend-style on Legendary.) I lie to myself a lot and forget.
@@ilari90 Yeah they can be replaced... at a much lower experience level, which will impact their overall damage output and result in a weaker army until it gains experience. Even if you can afford it, it's always better to try and keep an army intact rather than throw it away. Unless of course it's just full of Tier 1-2 trash, which this army certainly was not.

Old Guard's Tankard is actually very good, especially if you are running many heroes in your army. 3 of those and you have -99% vigour loss reduction for _the whole army_, add a lord's trait and you basically have perfect vigour for the whole army. And running with 3 engineers with this that serve as a second line behind melee heroes+lord is not significantly worse than giving them ironwarden's.

I think the organ guns werent shooting at 16:05 or so because the thunderbarge was technically in the way. It was sitting right where the peak of the ark for the organ guns shots would be, and might have hit it, so it wasn't shooting.
Nope it happened to me also, missile units refused to shoot despite giving orders, I was on the high ground and there was no LOS issues, they just didn't even respond.

In the case of missile units, they will move and reform in to their current formational shape, only facing the direction they need to be. They will then spend several seconds shuffling about making sure they are exactly in formation. If a single model is looking another way or is off to the side a bit, it can delay their shooting. In this case, the guns had already faced their target, but the thunderbarges model was intersecting with the peak of their arc or fire, so they didn't shoot.
You have to go back and watch the one where everything that could go wrong went wrong. I know it was a disaster battle fighting as one of the elven factions. I think they were wood elves, but they may have been high elves because I remember him having a couple of different dragons, if I remember correctly. The game reallllllllly didn't want him to win that battle. That one was like an hour and some change of the game doing everything possible to keep him from winning. His archer units didn't want to shoot, his dragons refused to use their breath attacks. That one was crazyyy and the ending was too crazy for words!! Another really good one was him fighting the vampire counts end-game crisis. The units kept reviving after the battle to fight him again. That one was crazy too, but it really showcased how even the game trying to cheese him back, the cheese master will still reign supreme 😁😁 Great disaster battle here, for sure!!! Definitely the hardest looking one in a really good while. I felt the stress through my phone. Great work as usual, Legend! I personally love the disaster battles and the disaster campaigns the most. I'm not a big fan of the swarms or one-man doom stack ones but I'll check them out sometimes. But I'm always here for the disaster ones, I also love most of the tier-maker vids as well.
Hey Legend, just a little tip from a long time dwarf main: you can send your gyros on melee on their archers, gyros have pretty good mass and will deal a nice amount of charge damage that helps break them while not getting shot anymore, and you can just force path them across the unit to fly back up if needed. Even though their melee defense is low, archer units take a bit to fight back usually
Impact damage* not charge damage. Impact damage is the one that deals damage based on mass and speed. Charge bonus only adds to melee stats. But otherwise correct - have to point this out because people still think charge bonus affects the impact damage, but it doesn't.
Hey, that gyros would die in about literally 40 seconds, surrounded from all sides by their nearby melee troops. Gyros have little to 0 hp in general, so they die no matter by who, in a moments. That charge damage don't cost that risks, it's better them too shoot in important targets, rather than trying to kill archers in a middle of billion other enemy troops. However, if their archers would be isolated... chew-chew time for spinning blades))0)
Weirdly enough, he’s given ME some, which turned out to be really clutch. When I was playing as Cathay. They helped we win a critical battle against Deathmaster and then Blessed Dread. I guess they mouthed off to Tzeench and he planned this revenge.
What a brutal battle. Very nice. I've also had a lot of trouble with ranged units not firing, even when they have no obstructions. I've been wondering if it's a new bug introduced in one of the more recent patches, because it's been really bad.
First time in a Legend video where I really thought he might loose. That was a close call! Specially when the Thunderbarges started going down. I am glad to be wrong though.
Legend was pretty amazing despite the losses, I would've probably lost the same amount against just a single of these armies due to not paying attention to those stalking fireglaives and flying units.

I feel like the thunderbarge nerf was a little excessive; they feel very lacklustre since their vulnerability isn't even rewarded with that much damage output. Definitely don't feel like they justify the insane upkeep.

Funny how the AI behaves at your games. On my games its almost like the AI could control their single unit entitys to just run through my lines into my ranged or arty or they just ignore everything else in my army and just fokus on my arty. Its a real pain in the ass

I once try to attack two stacks of chorfs with a khorn chosen army, when you have only flaming attacks battle is near impossible. Luckily when your stats are stupidly bloated you get AR victories lol.
I don’t understand why they’re programmed just to stand there without even shooting back at the gyrocopters in the beginning of the battle. In wh2 that would always trigger them to attack even if they were waiting for reinforcements to arrive…
Flamming attacks is literally only decent Against undead, that's it. Literally every other race is either resistant against it or neutral. Flamming attacks is just the literal worst xP

This is why you use agents as scouts.
