Avid Bengals fan here. I really enjoy your videos. You do a great job on analyzing possibilities and taking into account the current progress of a team. Burrow has been fire this year. The team recognizes it and they are all trying to get to his level. This is what makes him a top 5 quarterback. I believe the Bengals will make the playoffs as long as Burrow is healthy. The defense has had a few good games to hone in on problems and begin to correct them. The offense has to improve on third down. It has to happen. The other thing is Money Mac. No one is saying this, but Mac is struggling big time. He was drafted for one, extended for two, and yet this year he has missed quite a few kicks that he didn’t the last two years. I worry now in a game time decision on Money Mac, where I didn’t before. The AFC North is the toughest division in the NFL. The Steelers are scary with their defense, and now you have Wilson throwing dimes. The Ravens are absolutely scary with Henry and Lamar. Lamar is on pace for another MVP, and you know he wants that Super Bowl. Who wins late in the season, and the playoffs? It’s Joe Burrow! The guy wins in big games. If the Bengals make the playoffs, even as a wild card, no one wants to play Burrow. All in all it is up in the air. I do however believe the Bengals beat Philly. They will stop Barkley, and hold Hurts and maybe even get a pick or two. Watch out for Hendrickson because he is an absolute force this year. I agree with what you’ve said. However I think you are mistaken as to why people frame it as black and white win losses. It’s about fair treatment. Using Nick as an example: For some Qbs, he takes all those little factors like how they lose or won into consideration. While for other Qbs and teams, he does not bother to look at the details and would rather use a rudimentary logic to judge them harshly. Prior to the 23’ season, Nick said the ravens wouldn’t make the playoffs before the season started. And prior to this season he had Caleb Williams ranked higher than Lamar, who just came off a 2nd mvp season. In short, many ppl like Nick think in a detail-oriented manner when it comes to ppl they like for whatever reason. He’s is not 7-1 vs Burrow. Burrow hasn’t even played Lamar 8 times, Lamar didn’t play in the 2nd game of 2021 & 2022 because he was hurt. If you want your team to be the best it can be in the playoffs, you don't want to be blowing teams off the field. That doesn't make you better. Coaches actually prefer the atmosphere of a struggling team than a "super team" because it's hard to convince a player he has to change something when he's getting the results he wants doing it his way. You want your body and mind callused by the time the playoffs start and breezing through a schedule isn't conducive to that. Look at the Patriots that won all games but one. It was a pretty easy year till that last game that mattered more than the rest and they weren't battle tested. They were used to dominating, not getting into a fistfight. The Giants were in fistfights all year and had to scrap for every inch to get to the Super Bowl.
