This was a great video on this subject! It is a shame that some on RUclips waste peoples time and put up dumb videos on this subject and do not say anything but read your manual! But Sir I really like that you covered the subject very well and in good enough detail that most viewers would have learned from your video how to program an AP. Thank You for this video!

Thanks! It seems to have worked. I have some questions though:
Is the LAN IP Address on the secondary router supposed to be the same as the main router?
Should the routers use the same channel?
Why do we need to disable DHCP? and
Can we use a different DNS server on the secondary router?

    1. My laptop doesn't have a lan plug point...can I connect the router via a USB cable ?
    2. Do u install the repeat router at the farthest point of existing wifi range to boost wifi further off or within the mid of that range to boost ?
    Thanks

Nice, slow and clear also detailed explanation dude
Not like other indians that explained with really fast commenting and also not clear too what they blabbered about, to make it worse sometimes brought very heavy indian accents
I end up dont understand anything, lol
About your accents, only a little indian accent and very acceptable
    Thx mate

Hi, this video was mostly helpful except for not being able to see how the cables are connected to the secondary router during settings change. Was it in the LAN slot or the WAN slot? Also, when the secondary router is finally ready and place in another room, was the cable connect in to the LAN or WAN slot (coming from primary router). Anyway, it would be nice not to guess this part. Thank you.

Q1)Not being able to see how the cables are connected to the secondary router
      A) Both router needs to be connected via LAN cable because this is wired connection setup.
Q2)Was it in the LAN slot or the WAN slot?
      A) Connect it to LAN slot, Primary LAN slot to Secondary LAN slot (

Doing it wirelessly cuts your bandwidth by half at least -the extender has to use 50% to talk to "you" and 50% to talk to the main router- So wireless extender is not a win in most cases

Hi Vishal, thanks for the wonderful video and it surely helped me to extend my wifi signal. But Need your help on my peculiar problem
I have used my older Dlink router and converted it as a repeater by following the same procedure you showed. Every other device connects fine with the new network expect Windows 10 laptops.
Any idea on how can this be solved ? On windows forums I have seen people struggling with the same problem as of mine, but no specific solution given. Appreciate your help o this.

If you assign the same SSID to the 2nd router as the primary, your device will automatically transition from one router to the other based on signal strength? The way Comcast set up my router, you need to manually switch from one Router to the next...but they have different SSIDs.

Initially, internet access is working fine for both the routers. And it gets connected without an issue. When I move my phone away from the AP and towards the main router it gets switched to the main router with no issue. But when i move my phone back towards the AP, it gets connected to AP as expected, but shows the no internet icon. Only after restarting the AP I get to access internet. This happens every time. What seems to be the problem? My AP is a ZTE (ZXV10 W300).
