How have I stanned for 9 years and not heard this interview???
I feel you.
🤣🤣
wondering the same thing
Always respect those who’d overdoche
"explain myself to myself" "I do it for me" ❤️😊 though you do it for yourself(as you should) , thank you for sharing it with us Lana.
Yes we more than appreciate her sharing those unique stories with us.
As she has attained fame & fortune, a lot of her monologue has come true, i think she has known what she was getting into at a young age and chose to roll the dice instead of playing it safe. I think she would benefit from having someone in her life that she could trust enough to hold her hand and the compass steady to point in the right direction.
You again :)
Now that wouldn't be the freedom she seeks.. now would it.
I sure could use someone like that.
her mind >>>
the monologue was the first thing i've heard from hear, keep it like that Lana, never change (or do if you want to)
I heard the monologue for the 1st time during the Paradise edition.
Change is a powerful thing
I remember when I heard that monologue.... I swear as pretentious as it sounds, my life changed. It was an epiphany! I e been hooked since then, often finding solace in Lana's words
She is so smart, i love her sm
She did it for fun she did it for free
she did it for the right reasons.
She’s everybodies girl friend :)
She did it for you, she did it for me
Wow i love her voice, her language..so poetic
I felt she must be the best "fiction" writer, or she went thru some thing similar, because she nailed it!
Lanas music got me thru the worst part to the best part of my life.... I lost everything in 2011 when my producer/boyfriend that I lived with, cheated on me for a year & then took off. I lost everything, my car broke, my computer broke, my publishing deal ended, I had to rely on the "kindness of strangers" It was devastating.
I was able to recover &
fast forward to 2017, I reconnected with my first love, & had the honeymoon I always dreamed of, listening to her "Honeymoon" album!
Lanas music saved my life quite literally.
💝💝💝💝
I am so glad you're back on track! ❤
so proud you got through♥️
Lana is a character that Lana can make up stories about and contribute her own life experiences as well . That’s what I think .
thanks for posting this video !! it's always interesting to hear Lana talking about her art. And listening to this brief explanation of Ride's monologue, which is something so important in her career, was very nice ... and as always Lana never disappoints me ...
You're welcome! I enjoy digging up interviews like this and bringing it all down for people to hear everything. Its fun and important to hear the details for everything. Helps us to know her even more
I love her monologues! ESPECIALLY Burnt Norton
That's not a monologue. That's a poem by T S Eliot that connected to her own work. She didn't write that
um
i love that too but its a poem interlude
As a kid I always thought old bikers were hot.🤷🏻♀️

Anyone know what happened to her biking episode with Norman Reedus? I’ve never seen it but really want to :(
Yea I have no idea. Maybe they never got to film. I would have to do some research
Lana was present when it was filmed but I believe she wasn’t included in the actual episode. I was upset about it too.
why are they so shocked that it's true?
When is this interview from?
2014. It’s in the description box.
1:45 - "being younger, I was more on the periphery of society, just enjoying like alternative lifestyles cuz that was just my personality..."
read: I whored around. A lot.
lmfao
Too bad you'll never get it tho lol
@@aurale9180 ooookkk...? :)
She worked in community service for addicts, on reservations, baby sitting, waitressing, college, created art w her sister, wrote, sang and recorded music, made & edited her videos.. stop projecting, lol just bc that's how you need to view women, lmfao misogyny at its finest 😅
Why are you even here?
@@aurale9180 I'm a fan and aware of all these things, thank you very much.
Doesn't change my observation / comment. :)
You r just gross. Lanas journey is not to be criticized by the likes of you.
