lana del rey sings the type of songs that really just hit the hardest when it’s her singing. she has an incredible ability to shift the tone of her voice depending on the mood of the song, in no other way i have seen other singers doing. she is incredible

It's nice to see some contestants singing Lana songs, but you can also tell that Lana is the only one who can trully show the emotion and nostalgia that comes in her songs.

singing a lana del rey songs needs to be technical while being a soulful in order to be an effective storyteller
seriously!!! you also need to have that special tone she has in her voice. its very difficult not to compare these to the original sound.
Coming from a vocal performance major, Lana has a unique low voice with a technique that won’t be compatible with most voices. It makes her songs deceptively difficult to sing, especially if you’re trying to replicate her tone
