Coming back to my homecoutry was the hardest because I never felt included or seen. I was also asked to be the one to adapt on my own and move on as if nothing. Unlearn everything I knew and rebuild around this supposedly home environment that didn’t feel familiar at all. Everything before moving back now feels unreal just a dream I had where I used to belong
my parents were missionaries in Mexico and I was born in Mexico. it was easy for me to tell Americans where I was born but to Mexican they would tell me "no- you are Gringo you look too white"

I'm so sorry that your transition to your parents' country was so difficult. I hope you're able to find a new community and place to belong again ❤️
When I lived in Singapore, and I went to the US for holiday people would ask why I speak English and what " China is like?"
This is so precious to me.
