These ladies were best ever as a trio! I really miss her dynamic duo.. they were alot more than just "backup singers". As much as Madonna herself is amazing, these two also put alot of energy into their vocals and made the difference in alot performances!

The chord structure and bass harmony in the middle of the song (especially after 2:33) sound quite similar to "The Music Sounds Better with You" by Stardust, a 90's house-genre electronic track... did anyone else notice this?? Plus at 2:49 there's an obvious nod to "One More Time" by Daft Punk. BTW I know "Holiday" is older than either song; I'm just wondering if there are references to them in this arrangement. (:

Absolutely and actually the sample is from a song from 1981 called "Fate" by Chaca Khan, which was used by Stardust y in "Music Sounds Better With You" and of course it was used in this performance
Thomas Bangalter (from Daft Punk and Stardust) mixed "Music Sounds Better with You" with "Holiday" at the beginning of a live at We 1999 festival. So maybe it's that.

I’m the type of person to be crying even in happy times because of how much I enjoy it. I remember being at The Drowned World Tour, Madonna was singing this and even though I was dancing and signing I was crying. I remember how much fun and love I could feel. She will always by my Queen. It’s because of Madonna she changed my life and I will always refer back to her and the happiness she’s brought to me.
Isn't that Donna DeLory and Nikki Harris that's backing her up? Wow I miss them. For me they gelled well with the Queen

Madonna and her amazing duo! I sure miss them and those days, their vocals were such a great asset in her songs back in 80s and early 90s. I like how they all got back together in this tour, and they sang a classic here. And I believe this is the last song they ever did together as just a trio. Great times!

To plainly state it, Madonna is and always will be the Queen for both Old and New School. It's amazing how diverse she really is. She is no fake person. Always kept it real from day 1. That's why I adore and respect Madonna. I will always be her true fan. She is so beautiful. This is one beautiful woman I have ever seen. Her personality has just amazed me so much. Love you Madonna.

LOVE THIS!! I was in attendance for this show @ The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit and had fabulous time!! A little bitty story~M throws her "Pimp Mama 2001" hat out into the audience and LUCKY is the fan who caught it! Anyway this hat was on display at the MadonnaThon in Troy, Mi. and the *Lucky Fan let me wear the hat for a picture and I did what most people would find strange...but I put my face into the hat to smell it, yaaaaas I did. It did smell nice and I become known as "The Hat Sniffing Fan" so yeah, I did the damn thing and I've absolutely NO REGRETS...thanks for uploading!! #DWT 2001

This was before all of those female pop clones surfaced and you couldn’t tell them apart. Madonna seems to be the only one that can liven up an audience in ways I’ve never seen the others do.
Back up singer dance Niki Harris loses her bandana around 1:06, then around the 2:29 mark she realizes it as she’s reaching for it in her back pocket and it’s no longer there. She gives the other back up singer dance Donna DeLory an, “Ah fuck.” Panic look, but then stays on the mark and pretends she’s got it in her hand. Then Madonna notices for a quick second as she doesn’t miss a spec of dust on that stage.

This was the iconic Madonna entertainer that completely changed popular culture. Although I wouldn’t necessarily say for the better. It’s now all a bunch of little girls that were clearly influenced by her growing up. Can’t be duplicated. There hasn’t been another female pop star of this caliber since. And Madonna was alone. There were no other female pop stars. Now it’s just a bunch of them that you can’t tell apart. They’re just making that radio pop friendly teeny bopper stuff that won’t be considered a classic decades from now. This performance was during the days you could hear the roar of the crowd. Today it’s quiet because people are too busy filming or on their phones. It’s like zombies it’s so eerie.
