They have plenty of get up and go with basic bolt ons... @houston5508 Also a truck should have its torque down low if you want to actually haul anything.
Wow, Incredible work sir. Wow to the negative comments. I'm 60 years old and have been building hotrods since I was 14. In what universe were 1970s American vehicles reliable? And the power and economy of these motors make the FE or Windsor, in this case, equivalent to boat anchors. Boat anchors dropped through the bottom of your fuel tank. I have a 71 F100 4x4 resto-mod going on presently and am considering 2017+ 2.7 with the 10 Spd. 325HP 375FTLB. Owned a 2018 F150 with this set up and she was a blast to drive. Driven conservatively, it managed upwards of 30mpg. Drove it all over the US and never a bit of trouble with the truck in the 4 years I owned it. For others inspired by your swap, I wanted to share the following if you don't mind. A company called MARS Swap the Universe. They sell turn key modern salvage engines, providing their own stand alone Control Module. Great for the very thing you've pulled off here. For a modest additional price they'll include the trasmission and transfer case. And yes for the commenters below, they have coyotes as well.
People can knock reliability all they want. I have a 2012 f150 ecoboost w/ 185k miles on it. It runs great. I tow a 5,000# boat twice a week for hours. It loves to work. But i had 460 v8s that blew at 120k miles.
Neat build but I think it made some people turn over in their graves lol. It would have been neat if you used the current production 302(5.0) since that's what the old one was, but outstanding build.
I don’t have much good to say about these new engines but man everyone can appreciate the work it takes to get this swap done
The equivalent of taking all the tires off before pushing it in the garage. Overcomplicating a nice simple truck.
7.3 gasser would have been my choice.
Amazing work. Now like a Vulcan, this F100 will Live long and prosper.
Nice job, well done.
Thanks!
Can't beat a 300 inline six/ 4 speed w/overdrive combo.
He just did lol

I love it. Nice work.

Thanks for the tip on MARS Swap the Universe.
Awesome build. Considering this swap over the coyote. That garage is like a hair above the cab. Scared me the first time it went in
how does it sound?
also man this is amazing. 1972 f-100 that honestly is making more power now with a turbo v6

Thanks. I have a 2011 with the Ecoboost and have had great reliability. I love these engines.
Clean truck
Sorry about the drop in reliability

The 2.3l would have been great also but the 3.5 6 cylinder was mint
2.3? No new Ford truck has a 2.3...
@@92clintonr the 2.3l from the ford st has great amount of power to move this also the 2.7l is a great engine as well
Is this a cat video or truck video
I wish it were a truck video
Do you have a trunk mat on the bed of your truck? If so where did you purchase it or the material for it?
what a sad day that you didn't put the coyote instead of the eco
