hi cliff thank you for showing my spitfire on your channel to the world ,I hope they enjoy it.
No worries Ricky, the World loves your creation 🙂👍
great video cliff that plane looks fantastic
It was Tunny, it would grace any garden 🙂👍
I have thought a few times of making a 1:1 scale Spitfire. But I haven’t a garage big enough.
I have some council grass next to my house which would nicely fit it for display. But then some bugger would complain about it for sure.
Or better yet Nick how about a twice size version 😁👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes That would be called a mosquito 🦟
What a beautiful model. Does it fly? I assume that it's intended to.
Hi Tony, she's a static replica, but a beauty as you describe 👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes A bit of a pity it'd been fantastic if she was a flyer.
@@tonycamplin8607As a flying model you'd have to add a high degree of complexity but what a machine if you did 🤔
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes A few Yanks make such 'planes. Have you seen any remie rc videos?
@@tonycamplin8607 Yes, but I haven't seen warbirds?
That was great, Cliff, and much more comprehensive than our local BBC news.
I was part expecting you to explore the possibility of installing radio gear.😂
Glad you enjoyed it Rob, it would need some pretty big servos 🤔👍
There's a guy building a Corsair that he's actually going to fly that's only a bit bigger than this amazing thing
I suspect the Corsair chap isn't 6ft tall, it's great that warbird, albeit scaled down, are being built and flown 🤔👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes you should check it out @dynodon64 it's maybe half scale but he has the Corsair segmented flaps and everything pretty neat
Give the video a thumbs up to promote this fantastic replica to the World, cheers.
Got to love people that make cool stuff...just because 😊 Excellent
Well said Mike 🙂👍
That is aeromodelling on a whole new scale! Really nice shape and finish. One needs to have a real passion and a lot of different skills to pull something off like that!
Maybe you should organize a collection to get him onto the real Spitfire ;)
Well said Andrew, he deserves no less, maybe a rich person will see your comment 🤔👍
It's very well made. It looks cool.
It really is very good 👍
That is one EPIC Spitfire! What a build. What a tribute.
Hi Adam, Ricky's a proud Brit who just loves his Country especially Spitfires 🙂👍
HAHA by the title I thought you done ditched small airframes and got a 20 footer 🤣
That'll be the day 😁👍
das ist ein großer "Slow Flyer".😎👍 tolle Arbeit.
Cheers Rolf 🙂👍
Old mate Jan Zumbach, whose AC this is, had a varied life after the war which included gun running and all sorts of contraband and he wrote a book about it, an interesting read.. The book tells of one episode where he had a plane full of self winding watches hidden under the floor. When he landed the watches had all wound from the vibration of the plane and were making a huge racket, I don't remember how he got out of that one though.
Hi Potrzebie, I'll see if I can find the book, cheers 🙂👍
On Wings of War :My Life As a Pilot Adventurer. I just went looking and apparently it's a rare book and they want big dollars for it, I'll have to dig my copy out. I can't find an ebook anywhere.
Well done, absolutely Brilliant
Thanks, she's a beauty 👍
Cool project, I'm sure it brings him lots of joy.
Thats some Spitfire Cliff, I see it's now up for sale on market place. Great video.
@@Darren.n.RCvids Yes, I saw that too, tempted?
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes No,lol
That’s brilliant Cliff, does not matter the size, the Spit gives you goose bumps. 😂
You're right there Chris, simply stunning 👍🙂
there needs to be more blokes like him, if you want a Spitfire in your garden, do it,
Absolutely ... well said that man, thanks for watching, cheers
North of Toronto, there is a guy who has built a whole collection of 1:1 WWI&II classics and has them all parked on his property out in the countryside...
Hi Norm, I've seen a video of him I think somewhere on RUclips, if you've got the space what an incredible thing to do 🙂👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes ... I found it!

Nice one cliff keep em coming
Thanks for watching Barry
Want to see It fly .please 🛩️
It doesn't fly Daniel 🤔
What a brilliant job!
It really is Bob, tempted myself 🤔👍
Wow amazing
Thank you! Cheers!
What star well done cheers
Ricky did a fantastic job on her 👍
Excellent find cliff .. my p51b mustang is Jan Zumbach’s steed from raf brenzett polish 303
Before the squadron was equipt with this spitfire ..the nose art is Donald Duck and is represented on one of the bbmf spitfires .. Jan made it through the war as an ace with the polish medal of valour amongst other medals.. he claimed the first attack on the first fw190 encounter .. I believe in the 70s he was employed as a smuggler pilot across borders and was shot he lost his life to a rival smuggler ..
Interesting history lesson Jeff, cheers 🤔👍
Is the Spitfire a man flyable airplane or a R.C. model?
6:15 with prop blades that thin and flat, this is not RC much less piloted. This is for static display only.
@envitech02 Oh, okay. I have seen 70% scale man flyable replicas.
I thought maybe yours was 60% scale like W.A.R. Replicas. W.A.R. Replicas sell plans for $900.00-1,100.00 U.S.. Most everything you need to build their airplanes will be provided at your local Hardware stores here in America. I don't know what the U.K. has for Hardware stores.
Display only Richard but we do have superstores that would stock enough to build a flyable aeroplane 👍
Awesome project! But I better not let my girlfriend see this one!
The lengths of "copper pipe" that you point out at 8m 14s are strengthening plates over the wheel well. Some of the earlier Spitfires did have them, but later on they strengthened the skin in that area. The BBMF Spitfire Mk.IIa has them.
Thanks for the info Daz 👍🙂
Ricky great build, cliff can make it fly. Cliff great visit and chat. Jeff in LA USA
I can make it 'fly' online Jeff 🙂👍
First! Fantastic Spitfire man!
Well done! Nice replica huh
wow wow wow 😀👍 p.s. is it 6s
Wouldn't that be cool Ian 🤔👍
Who the hell would paint a spitfire those colours. I will be waiting for someone to say its scale accurate!
Perhaps the blue could be a little more grey but it is what it is 🤔
Your comment was a bit rude i think although you have a point.
The builders interest was perhaps to build a spit regardless the accuracy of the painting.
And in that perspektive he did a wonderfull job, don’t you think? I think so
@@eddybest100 Thanks for the comment Eddy.
The man has built it, 1 for himself. 2. For fun. Has a limited budget and all you can say is just sad. Sad the video was put up to put a smile on our faces and a bravo for his efforts yet you can’t even do that you sad person.
