I went back to Nepal recently and made another movie about my trek through beautiful Langtang National Park. I had a better camera on that trek, so it's a higher quality video. You can watch it here: ruclips.net/video/gF1LABvwPHo/видео.html

This channel should have so much more traffic imo. So relaxing. Beautiful scenery. Serene. Oh my. I’ve always wanted to go there... but I’m too lazy to trek. Not really 😂 maybe when I was younger, before my heart condition reared it’s ugly head, I would have attempted it! I was 31 when I had a heart attack due to a congenital heart defect. Nothing I did would have prevented it. I was very very active before this occurrence. I hiked, travelled a lot! But never trekked. So awesome that you vlog to give us a chance to go places we can’t go for many reasons! THANK YOU!
Really love your videos mate, headed to do Annapurna Circuit myself this week and it's been great to be able to get excited watching all your vids!!! Peace!
Thx for the memories, I remember the strong wind coming up every day after midday between Lethe and Jomsom along the Kali Ghandaki, the largest canyon in the world. It's been almost 50 years that I visited as a 21 year old. I still like to travel, travelling is exhilarating and trekking the Himalayas is amazing. The Annapurna massiv is such a beautiful region, as is the kingdom of Mustang right at the Chinese border. It can be hard to get a permit to visit Mustang being that close to a sensitive border. During my visit the road to Jomsom didn't exist, so I had to walk from Lake Pokhara through the flowering Rhododendren forest at Ghorepanee, past Tatopanee, Tukche, Lethe, Jomsom, Muktinath, Lo Mantang. So beautiful, especially during the month of April when the flowers bloom. Truly unforgettable. Wishing you a great 2022 🕉
I just saw your video., this is same like Mr. Herald ‘s video but yours is 5yrs back and his one 2 yrs ago… you are an inspiration to all the travel adventure lovers
You are practical and smart trekker and that you would not stretch beyond your limit. This is a wise advice to the viewers who are inspired by you to take this trekking.
I'm truly amazed by the amount of dedication that you have, I just get anxiety on the fact that you can't just "turn around". Your channel has given me motivation for a new hobby. Thanks mate
Hi Gabriel, I just did the ACT a month ago and I keep coming back to your videos. Too bad you didn't see the Tilicho lake in blue instead of frozen. Hope to come next year for another trek in Nepal.
Nice, yeah it would have been cool to have actually seen the lake, but it was also pretty awesome to do that hike with so much fresh snow on the mountains.
what are you looking for out there Gabriel? what drives you? you've been journeying for many years. seems it would be lonely sometimes. will you ever settle down and get married some day? what are you learning after all these years? where do you hope to be in life ten and twenty years from now? what are your goals at this point in your travels, and in your personal life? love your vids. you are a delight, a very positive energy.

Awesome adventure there Gabriel. It really is accessible to anyone who is relatively fit, I like all those villas and restaurants along the way; that definitely helps. Beautiful and stunning scenery and definitely a bucket list must do to all outdoors adventurous people. Great job there, and alongside your Treks of Peru to the Machu Pichu site and to Japan's Mount Fuji, that's quite an impressive life accomplishment!! 😁👌
I'm working my way through your videos, Gabriel. I've been watching them for a few months now. Just amazing! If you are ever home in Ukiah, and head over to Tahoe, would love to meet up for coffee with you here in Folsom, CA, on your way through on Hwy 50!
Εxperience of a lifetime, really.... Gabriel, you are one of the most luckiest persons on earth, do you know that, my friend?? My dream is to go to Tibet one day, but it's really quite far away from being true.... Have a nice time in Belgium and Greece, dear!
+Global Adventurer, which trek are you thinking of doing? I did the Langtang trek in February, but the other treks probably aren't possible because it's in the middle of winter.
Hi Gabriel! Actually, Nepal will be part of a 3 month trip I have planned, that includes Jordan, UAE and Turkey too. I might add India to my list. So, as of right now I only plan to trek to Poon Hill (since I'm sort of a beginner) 😂 If that works out fine, I'm going to try Everest Base Camp in November next year. Regardless, I plan to go back to Nepal probably every year since the cost-of-living is good and it seems the people are pleasant. And the way of life there is simple. Happy Travels, and thank you for all your inspirational videos.
Global Adventurer I see, right on, that sounds like a good plan and a great trip. Yeah trekking to Poon Hill should be fine at that time. I haven't hiked up to there but the views are supposed to be amazing.
To be honest I watched your Annapurna trek videos many a times and again I will watch as I am learning, how much you have put your dedication and excellent presentation throughout the entire hiking route. Remarkable..
Gabriel Traveller: I would recommend you to try the three pass trek on the Everest trail. Its breathtaking and the view is even more awesome. The only problem to trek in Khumbu is that it is expensive but its all worth it.
Gebriel friend I also saw your full video with it's first part these Nepalian trekking videos were amazing and possess fantastic real material of hiking.
You'd want to hope the yaks are non-aggressive. I've seen footage of two yak bulls fighting and they are absolutely as hard, tough, and ruthless as hell when they want to be. One yak bull bullied the other to the ground then deliberately pushed him over the side of a cliff. The one that went over the cliff then walked back up the cliff back to his opponent and went at it again. Then he got pushed off the cliff again lol. They might seem docile, but they can go hard. Really hard.
I trekked this circuit in 1996 when there was little power and no wifi. I couldn't even get reception from my pocket short wave radio. About a week before hitting the pass, I met a New Zealander who was hiking with his mountain bike. The Nepalese kids were running after him in amazement as many had never seen a bike . When we reached the top of the pass, he hopped on his bike and down he went trailing a cloud of dust. I was envious cause it was a long, tiring hike down the pass to the next village.
I just watched the whole video. Amazing. That altitude would kick my ass. I felt like I was going to die in Bolivia and that was lower in altitude than the places you did here.
Much of the Circuit has an alternate walking path that's separate from the road, so you don't have to walk on the road all that much. Here's another video of mine with lots more info about the Circuit trek: ruclips.net/video/_PLFfnoUQe4/видео.html
Gabriel, please continue to create these excellent videos! About twenty-five minutes into this video, you discussed whether Thorung La Pass is the world's highest pass. The Tashi Labtsa Pass, elevation 5755 meters (18,821 feet), also located in Nepal, is higher than Thorung La Pass.
Yeah it depends on how you measure it I guess. There are even higher passes that you can drive over, in Ladakh, India. I think Thorung La is the highest trekking pass that you can do easily without special equipment, something like that.
WOW, the hikers walked so fast. They are tall people, too. Oh God, if I am placed onto the hiking trail, would I move like a snail? Probably the turtle might walk faster than me. I need to exercise more often.
Did you know the highest human habitation is 16,100 feet called La Rinconada in the Andes? You went higher than that. That hotel you stopped just before doing the pass would be one of the highest habitations in the world. I think that's what habitation means in this context, a place where humans live permanently.
hey gabe, this video becomes out of synch with the audio. i remember you mentioned to me that its some weird bug with youtube that you can fix so just giving you a heads up :D
Gabriel Traveler Damn I just remembered I went back to Nepal 2016 too and while you were up there capturing this amazing footage I was back in Ghandruk chilling for 2 weeks enjoying the view. I couldn't do what you did thanks to serious back injuries at work but it's so great to see through another's eyes, thank you so much man! I went to Jhinnu for two nights to catch up with Indra Mani Sharmi who owns a big lodge there and on my way back to Ghandruk I took a wrong turn and ended up down by the river haha ( The Modi Kola ) That shit almost killled me!
Right on. I'm back in Nepal right now, just completed the Langtang trek. Videos from here coming soon, and they're going to be a lot better than the ones from 2016 due to better cameras.

HEY GABRIEL A VERY NICE VIDEO. I REALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THIS ONE EXCEPT I KEPT GETTING SHORT OF BREATH. LOL I THINK I WILL JUST HAVE TO EXPERIENCE ALL OF MY HIKING FROM NOW ON WATCHING YOU BECAUSE MY COPD IS NOT GETTING ANY BETTER. THE GOOD PART IS IT'S NOT GETTING ANY WORSE AT THIS TIME. I HAVE BEEN TO 12,000 FEET BUT I WOULD HAVE TO HAVE AN OXYGEN BOTTLE TO DO IT NOW AND I'M NOT TOO SURE THAT EVEN THAT WOULD DO IT. STAY YOUNG MY FRIEND BECAUSE GETTING OLD SUCKS. I TELL PEOPLE "HALF OF WHAT I HAVE DOESN'T WORK ANY LONGER AND THE OTHER HALF JUST HURTS." LOL. BE SAFE MY FRIEND AND KEEP MAKING THESE WONDERFUL VIDEOS.
