    Cool, I owned the Pacific Ensemble strings so turns out the Solo library is free for me haha! Sounds great. I do wish it had all string instruments to make up a quintet, it would be great for small chamber ensemble writing. I can't complain too much since for me it's free, but if I were looking for a solo string library to cover ensemble writing I would look elsewhere as a result.
    I also find the Fluid Shorts III to be interesting, sounds really cool, but I feel it would be hard to match with other libraries if you were to go back and forth between shorts and longs, since I personally don't really have a library which has that sound at that mid-size ensemble (even Pacific Ens is a bit bigger). The solo bass shorts have a cool rawness but too bad there isn't a solo bass in the pacific solo library to cover longs. Also that's a little strange in the solo cello patch as you pointed out, octave bleeds beneath it. Wonder why that might be and if it's something they could fix in an update.

    Solo strings sound great, but some of the samples sound too vibrato, I can’t see a way of reducing it?

    How does Vista two compare to Vista one? Can you achieve the same end result? Not talking about process, but the end result, can you achieve the same thing with either library?

    Vista to me, sounds the better of the 2, here. The Portamento effect & the amount that couldn't be controlled in Pacific Strings, was actually the sole problem & source of complaint, hope this was kept in mind with Pacific Solo.

    Could someone tell me the difference between PACIFIC and VISTA II as full libraries - thank you !

      Pacific seems to have more of an all-rounder approach, while Vista 2 feels more experimental overall! Still currently in development :)

    The excessive slide transitions on Pacific Cello are disappointing. They stand out quickly and make the cello sound obviously artificial.. 😟. It's really unfortunate that they didn't include more legato types like those available for the violin.

      The earlier Pacific cello (free) has a more restrained sound, if you need that. Together they make quite a combo.

      Is the portamento not adjustable in the additional controls in Pacific cello like in the violin by adjusting the velocity setting?

    • @clarenceoveur9497
      @clarenceoveur9497 Месяц назад

      @@craighlady4778no, it has only one type of legato transition, which varies across the keyboard. You can't control it. As you play higher notes, the transitions become more slide-like

    This does not sound as good as some of the others that you have demonstrated in the past.
    Your playing is excellent though.
