@@ooo4080 dear friend peoples will wear upper garments but majority temples when the men want to enter the temple he need to remove upper garments and need to wear dhothi in this festival i think you seen some of them not wearing upper garments actually that is the drums playing artists and some festival volunteers the pooram festival season is summer time and they are hourly standing in hot weather so they can't wear the upper garments not only that but also this is a custom we are following that 🙏

I am from Thrissur, Kerala, India. This pooram is organised by all communities. More than 100 elephants participating in this pooram. But one elephant will not be exhibited more than 3 hours.
Pooram arrangements will be started one year before. Once used articles will not be used next year. All new gold plated elephant ornaments are using every year. Also the umbrellas and other things.

One thing you have not understood is that each day of pooram has fireworks display... With a grand one on the final day... It is like a competition between the two temples... The fireworks go on for hours and include colourful bursts in the sky... And long and loud bursts of thundering blasts... Your heart will be beating rapidly and your eardrums will nearly burst... 😃 Now days it is more controlled... Earlier the fireworks used to be... THUNDERING !!!

The sight is to experience it as it happens. All these festivals in South r done for millienun ,we have been watching participating in them. It's really not a big deal when things r handed down as tradition generations after generations it becomes part of us. Most of the participants belong to such long line of family members carrying on the tradition. The Southern Hindu Temple Festivals r for 6 sense. It has a great Spiritual meaning and value to it. Even our daily prayers at home r smaller version of the same. Come to South India and experience our Values. Abt Simplicity- Yes most of us prefer it like that and do dress up for Spl occasions. Catch hold of a Kerala wedding vedio you will know. The Kerala Bride gets as small as 50 to 100 thola of Gold , diamond jewellery.😜😀 They never Show- off on regular days.
