Hi John, thanks for your valuable video. I'm not a 3D pilot, mine is a sport flight with some 3D figures. Your video made me realize that this could be the model for me. Please, can you tell me the recommended CG, the maximum command excursions and those for Low rate and High rate. I couldn't find a manual that reported these values. A thousand thanks. Maurizio from Italy.
Glad to help. CG is on the wing tube. Use these rates to get started: Elevator: Low rate-8-10 degrees; 15-20% Exponential 3D rate-45-50 degrees; 60-65% Exponential Insane tumble rate: As much as possible! 65-70% Exponential 27 Rudder: Low rate-20 degrees; 45-50% Exponential 3D rate- As much as possible; 80-90% Exponential Aileron: Low rate-15-20%; 40-45% Exponential 3D rate- As much as possible; 70-75% Exponential
Good morning my friend. Thank you so much for your very quick and precise response. Your help is very important. Thank you so much and have a good life.
Great flight John good job there's Shane and Junior .I almost laughed when you did your control test to see I expect elevator to go up it goes up I expect the elevator to go down it goes down ready to go right it goes right ready to go left it goes left and then you should have said I expect right wing to go up it goes up I expect left-wing to go up those control surfaces are freaking huge great job guys take care
I am going to order the Skywing skyangel 48" pattern style plane ETA on Northwest RC website is Oct. Price is great and I have all the stuff for the plane so no need for the PNP version.
On the home page: "The merger to Extreme Flight is now complete!" "Many of our products are migrating over so check them out at ExtremeFlight" Are we talking about the same company? northwestrc.com/
Hint: High Rate should have enough expo it feels like low rate around neutral stick... the small little stick deflections used for typical level flight and gentle turns should be identical High and Low rates...
An axial roll on the lateral axis. I've seen videos where they make it look like it's just stopped in the air and it literally flips over on the lateral axis.
This one is not great, but it will teach some muscle memory: ruclips.net/video/EhrzCrkp7GY/видео.html Honestly though, a one-time investment in a decent sim is money well spent because it will save a fortune in broken models. Real Flight is one of the better airplane sims I've used.
Without getting the card out and running through them, I can't recall, but it's the usual suspects: Highest BEC voltage, brake off, soft cut (3.0v I think), etc..
Look at any of the 60" 3D information sheets at the bottom of the product listings on Extremeflightrc.com For 60" planes, the'll all be similar and reasonable starting points.
Your money, your hobby, do your thing. I prefer landing with mid/low rates when there are barn doors hanging off the wings and stabilizers. In the end, it's subjective and up to the pilot.
This guy agrees. LOL ruclips.net/video/xFmuAP1TtAg/видео.html Obviously it's up to the individual and their personal preferences. 3D planes are much different than all others also.
I get the reasoning behind using high rates while going slow but some pilots don't like using high amounts of expo and in that case mid or low rates works just fine.
Skywing is such a good value. A little less expensive than extreme flight and feature rich. Specifically the quick wing servo connections.
I love their quick servo connects. Great feature.
Thanks 👍 again 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Apriciated your time and advice
You’re welcome.
Very nice plane. Nice flight John. Nice camera work Hobie. Keep up the good work guys.
Thanks Bill. Yes, this is a very good quality plane. Curious to see how it holds up over time.
I high rate everything. HIgh rate landing turns into hovering and other stall aerobatics.
Liked your procedure for setting up the plane. Hope you keep it in all your first flight setup videos.
Definitely do. I go through this process every time.

It looks and flies real good I see you got new helpers good deal
Yep, guests at the field today helping with the video and audio work. Everyone did a great job.
Great video dude
Thanks for the visit
Charl south Africa Great Review Thank you Appropriate 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 as soon as i can wil buy YOU coffee
Those throws are insane! Sweet airplane.
Pretty neat with those 1.25" servo extensions.

Lol, yeah, they're big control surfaces for sure. Shane did pretty good with the camera. Glad to have the help that's for sure.
Nice plane. Nice flying. Needs a pilot.
This plane is a keeper, so a pilot might be worth it :)
Nice job on the hovering John sorry I couldn’t make it out today guys.
Feel better bud. That's the most important thing.
Is the r24-D with converter board and super 4 still your preferred combo? Just ordered a SW edge 540 67”!
Still an awesome setup. You might want to check my last video showing native sbus.
Hello 👋. Liked the entrance greeting.
He did a nice job didn't he?

NWRC merged with ExtremeFlight and EF is the surviving company. NWRC will not be getting anything new in stock.
thanks nice of NWRC to not mention that on their web site. @@RCVideoReviews

Do you remember what you set your motor timing at?
I watch a video and you had a 3 D printed cg balancer. Could you please send me the link?

what were you trying to do at 9:14 that you said, "I don't know how those guys to that"

what free/cheap sim would you recommend?

i want this plane really bad!
You have good taste.
Hi, how much does your battery weigh please?
I'm using Liperior 6s4000. On my scale, they're 610g.
@@RCVideoReviews Great, thanks. I plan to use the gens 6s 4400mAh, which has 640g, maybe it's too much. 🤔 Recommended are lightweights.
What program setting did you use for the Hobbywing esc?

Can someone point me to where I can find the setup for controller for this plane. Or what is the alierons an elevator set at

I kinda disagree. I think you should land with high rates... and I think many would agree. Good flying.
