I am not actually a medical student, I am an engineer with an interest in neurology. I was looking for a more understandable resource than med books. I just find your channel and love it. Thanks a lot.
Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology has always been a nightmare for me (and a lot of other students). The fact that you are uploading so many videos related to Neuroanatomy is really helping me enjoy the subject.
Right? I just looked up a different video about the prefrontal cortex, which told me a part of it performs important functions and that, “Most of these functions occur rostrally.” Now I have to look up rostrally! This guy is a much better translator.
Wow. As a 13 year experienced neurology patient I’ve learned more about the brain than what my doctor taught me. Very refreshing to see how passionately you explain everything! Thanks (:
I'm just so grateful for you taking your time to make these videos for us. You are absolutely amazing! I'm 45 and went back to med school and I find your videos the most helpful. You take your time to explain everything in detail and I thank you!! Please don't stop! We all need you. Seriously!
hey, just came here to tell you , you are one heck of an amazing teacher. you explain things so precisely and make the other person want to learn more. im just sad over the fact that our professors in med school dont deliver us lectures the way u do though they take lectures of hours and more. i appreciate ur work plus i wish i came across ur channel earlier not just 15 days before my proff exam xD plus if you are reading this please make more neuroanatomy videos and embryology too. Great presentation. I am a senior citizen with no science background, and you make anatomy so I can understand. I can now hold a conversation with my doctor. You are excellent.
I literally took a while to type this message because I was thinking what to write to appreciate your efforts, I simply don't have words but just want to say you're the savior for medical students 🖤
Thank you so much Doc! from an Algerian first year neurosurgery resident struggling with basics: You're truly a life saver maaan!! being able to make neuroanatomy/neurophysiology not only understandable but also enjoyable is a work of art. You're the best!
You guys are really awesome, I am studying medicine and I have been watching your videos for 2-3 months, they really helped me a lot, thank you guys for doing this😍
I spent TWO years trying to understand the conjugate eye deviation part, I'm so grateful to you for finally clearing that part up for me! Thank you for all the neurology lectures, sir. You are saving our lives.
Based on my experience, the overview provides a clear, concise basic frontal lobe neuroanatomical tutorial. Impressive meticulous attention to the subject matter, a noteworthy comprehensive overview. Thank you.
I wish i had more teachers like you across the world but there can be few teachers who makes learning interesting and easy because usually prof don't care about the student learning it or not. You make student's life more easier and I get inspiration from you😌Thanks a lot Doc.
You are a genius..After watching this videos I feel like the informations are so much well organized in my head now.The way you put together the pieces of informations and the way they make so much sense is the most amazing part.Much love and respect for you and your family.
Sir, you have an amazing ability to connect the information with extremely useful diagrams! I thought I knew it all from my Cornell education, but now I understand it all from you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Dr Murphy, thank you for all your lectures. I really understood them well. I've failed so many exams in med school but you gave me hopes by explaining these topics very well. You are a doctor who is so passionate in teaching medicine up to the tiny details of each topic. You do not hesitate to repeat a simplest topic over and over again just so we can grasp them well. I've met a lot of doctors and the way they teach will just lose your confidence more. But in you, I found hope that someday, I, can teach too and treat patients in fighting their diseases. Thank you for all your videos! They really helped me a lot. Power!!! 😊
I never felt to give feedback to any youtube channel but seriously u r amazing man... I completed complete myology lectures and started neurology lectures.... I completed my 1st year by knowing nothing😁 I thought of passing this year also, but u r the only reason that i am studying and making time useful that tooo by RUclips 🤭🤭 Thank you 😉
Hey Zach! I consider myself very lucky to have gotten the opportunity to study from you through RUclips 😊the way you explain things and teach with such dedication and hard work is so commendable. You are amazing ! Thank you so much once again.
Not in med school high school just watching these videos because there interesting and just wanted to say you are great at teaching and you are very intelligent.
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost the login password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me.
@Jayce Sullivan Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
He's explaining the subject with so much passion and happiness ❤😂 I wasn't realizing how much I needed to see this 🤓 he just gave me a boost to finish studying neurology.
after seeing this channel I was very week in medicine now i am really good at this i love watching your videos and making notes, thats awesome , thanks u survived my whole carer(probably)
There’s no need to say sorry brother This 1 hour was worth it It helped me understand better and i got confident, motivated. Thanks May Allah bless you Lots of ❤❤❤❤❤ from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 😊
My words can not be as valuable for you as this video was for me, but anyway, you have a real knack to explain the very complex topic in detail, simply, precisely and more importantly it's absolutely easy to follow! No drama, No tears. In a nutshell, you have exceptionally hard-working Broca's area and prefrontal cortex :)))))))))) Thanks man!
it's way easier to understand lectures when u explain it . thank u alooooootttttt , to save me every time i cant understand a topic and find u here with amazing videos.
LOVE these videos. Physical therapist assistant here, studying for my national exam and his videos really drive home the stuff i need to know and brings to life what i learned.
Wow, I had a massive astrocytoma resected from my left frontal lobe in December 2024, and this video is helping me make sense of what happened! Especially interesting since I'm a decathlete and after three seasons was still failing to execute during hurdle races in particular. It makes complete sense after watching this.
my prof. explained all these kinds of stuff too badly and boring and I was wondering how the hell Imma learn these. But you saved my life and make it fun. Thank you very very much ❤
I am Neuropsychology student, and your video was amazing and clear, i am working with dementia so thank you because you are a great explanig with details and I can comprhenhed. Por cierto no hablo muy bien inglés pero lo comprendí a la perfección . Saludos desde España.

I like the way you connect the functions of a region with HOW that function is actually achieved. For example, "PFC is involved in motor function." But that's because it's got these pathways from the Basal Ganglia. And you mention that right there. Likewise, I like how you try to be comprehensive (long videos are JUST FINE!) . Like how you mention: Motor movement initiation, inhibition and modulation. You've got the gift of knowing what's important and how much to cover. That's some excellent intuition and planning!
I'm sorry, PFC is connected to the posterior association area for integrated motor decision-making. The proper motor cortices are connected to the Basal Ganglia.
Great delivery of critical information - we just had a family member have a frontal lobe injury. The video helped us get some basic information before researching more about the psychology areas of the healing process. This guy should also be a hockey player! Thanks!!!

Beautifully put!!! You attacked a beast of a subject and you delivered superbly. Thank you for being so enthusiastic throughout the lecture because your got me excited to keep learning the entire time. My favorite part of the video was about the prefrontal cortex. It seems that before any decisions or thought the prefrontal cortex retrieves information from all of the other areas especially the temporal lobe that has to do with memory. At the end of the day, what are we without our memories? Personality, decision making all stems from some type of past memory. That’s why machines (terminator/west world) could be the end of humanity because artificial intelligence will remember everything and hold us humans accountable!!!!
