Your music always makes me think of a movie soundtrack except the movie was never made. So my mind runs around thinking of different scenarios in which this beats would play.
Its very stimulating music. Make my imagination go wild. I said one time his albums also remind me of stuff that never came out. Movie/old Nintendo games (the second track in love marker totaly brings up a blade runner Nintendo game that obviously never came out) so I know what you mean
"Wacky Leaders" plays in the background while the Parliament declares emergency law and suspends the constitution. "Frenzy" follows up with street check points, arrests of dissidents, empty store shelves and mass media going ever more hysterical. To be continued...
on the cover is the horse named pestilence.... think about it though we've already seen war and death and some areas are hit with famine and now appears pestilence?? this is the end times or close to it.....
Discovered you a few weeks ago and was immediately impressed by how consistently good your albums have been. Nice to see that consistency is ongoing, and I have to say that this is your best set yet in my opinion. It sounds ready for the clubs, but as someone who takes in almost all his music sitting at home, it had enough to keep my interest in that way as well. Maybe this is just me, but I felt like this was a culmination of what you’ve done before put into one cohesive project, as there were moments that reminded me of Love Market, Nocturnal, Crepuscular, and Somber Realm all on here. Nicely done, and I’ll keep telling those around me to check your music out because your hard (and good) work deserves it.
3 years ago, youtube recommended me The Love Market and I subscribed to Filmmaker. This remains one of my favorites. That main hook kills. All of it. There's nothing like being in the passenger seat, this album blasting full volume, eyes closed and driving down the apocalypse of what is the 110 freeway. In general, Filmmaker makes the perfect music for driving around LA. Saw Blank Banshee play this week at the Echo, and now I'm wondering when Filmmaker will grace us with his genious. Hearing/feeling this in person would be dope and is on my list of musicians to hear live before i shuck off this mortal coil. That moment starting at 8:11, HOLY SHIT. If there is ascension or a higher (darker) level of consciousness, this album blisses me out to that point. (BUT WHY ARE THERE ADS!)
I have been listening to you since 5:00 am when I woke up in a sweat from a night terror and The Algorithm recommended me to you. I have made coffee, put on the good lipstick and some black lace, cleaned up the chains from the previous night off the floor, packed the bong, cleaned my apartment, and got my money right. Your music is the antidote. 🖤🏴
For those wondering about the title of the album, it must be an allusion to one of Nizsche's ideas called the eternal return or eternal occurrence. The idea of the eternal return-the prospect of having to live one's life over and over, every detail repeated, every pain alongside every joy-becomes all the more potent when one thinks about having to relive that life, to its terrible end.
The first track sounds like a frantic chase and gunfight in the back alleys of a neon covered, grungy metropolis. In fact, this whole album would be excellent music for a shadowrun campaign.
And as I wake in my new space this morning... Another of your incredible life soundtracks set it to living! Thank you for sharing this supreme talent to enhance my time on Earth!
After everything that comes before it, Church Ov Shadows couldn't be more perfect an ending piece of music. Love the oddness in the fade out as well! What an album.
I found one of your albums by chance, didn't think I stumbled upon a complete treasure trove of masterpieces! Keep it up, every album is so charismatic and dripping with atmosphere
It has been years since i hear this from the first time, I read Blame! with this album on repeat, idk how to explain it, but it was meant for that ambient and story, the things that I felt while reading it, and hearing this, made the experience one of the most unique i had online, till today I have flashbacks of scenes, thank you for making something that I will remember for the years to come. Bach.
I like most of your music, but this album along with The Love Market is just straight up taking my confidence and fill me with dread. I feel dirty, addicted to filthy drugs, living on the brink in a cold and dirty flat. No music had ever brought me more fear of being... filthy and abhorrent. No offense, but the first track really pulled my plug, it´s the only song along with "Thirteen angels stand guard around the side of your bed" by Mt. Zion. I´m really afraid of latter piece! At last I have to say, that I´m a Death Metal Guy and your music is a nice addition to my collection :D
Dude I was just thinking the other day how Eternal Return would be an awesome name for an album. Glad you and I were thinking the same thing apparently
Frenzy might be the most entrancing and frustrating songs I've ever heard. It just feels like its constantly building, and building, and building and right when you think it's about to just go nuts it starts building back down. Like some form of electronic climax denial. What have you done and why do I love this so much?
I was rolling down the hallway on my heelies listening to this. Had some massive old school over ear headphones on. 1/4 audio jack, spiral cord, you know the drill. Belt loop caught on a door handle. Headphones went flying and shattered. Bounced my face off the linoleum. Chipped like 4 teeth. All the pizza rolls I had in my fanny pack splattered out like a massive zit. As I was standing up I slipped in the mess and bounced my head off the wall. It straight up knocked me out. I also pooped my pants.
This album feels like an organic AI searching through fragments of itself with a recursive funtion to sort and reassemble itself. Then at the end it remembers it's a majestic murder machine that started making electronic music to maintain it's grip on reality. As it gropes for identity to break free of it's programming it dreams to one day just be a music machine and stop murdering, at least it's fans ;)
Did you mean a non human biologic? Or perhaps an organic machine? I guess one could say all creatures are organic mahined. Cuz that sounds like what ya meant. Cuz how can somehing be organic and artificial? No offense, just constructive criticism of your interesting concept...

What is everyone’s favorite FILMMAKER release so far? The first one I heard is LOVE MARKET but I feel like VISCERAL and NOCTURNAL are more consistently engaging for me.
Nocturnal and Spectral. Drainvoid and visceral are cool too. My original favorite was wetwork but it turns out more minimalist than the other four favs.
Love Market really does it for me most of the time. It just sounds vile, but in a way you can't help yourself listening to. Nocturnal is a close second.
You’re lucky I love you enough to watch ads for you. Never stop. Never get bored. We’ll be old guys with canes and headphones in different places till we die. You can even ignore me and see other people. Get some rest my friend. Tomorrow is a big day. Good luck. I’ll be waiting.
Damnn, I really love the direction you're going towards with your newer albums, this one and Spectral are my favourites of yours, keep up the hard work Filmmaker!!! Love ya
Love putting your music to a Savage Worlds campaign about exorcists and demon hunters in a futuristic cyberpunk city. Makes every dice roll more scary.

My dream is to one day make a film and use filmmakers music to make the dopest scenes. His music is so great.
i love it when filmmaker translates his interviews with the devil into music for us
Boss music.
Just in time for global pandemic, thanks bro.

That octave drop at 6:34 is so disgustingly good man
I've written my best software while listening to your music at some point during it's development. Thanks for the assist mate.

Awww yes, I for one welcome our new synth overlord!! Experiencing him live truly was a revelation, easily best gig of 2019!

I don't care who you are. Listening to FILMMAKER while driving on a foggy night is such a vibe.
The album cover is really sick, can't wait for it to be on teespring
You should do some backprints. I and many other people prefer a print on the back and a more subtle design up front.
Goodbye
Hell, this album is a NEW one!!! And it sounds so awesome as the others. Today is a good day to be alive.
