This game was an absolute HEARTBREAK coming from a Canadian! I still think Canada was the best team in the tournament. The only difference is that the USA had felt adversity and Canada hadn’t. Canada was just to confident 😢
USA didn't just have a stronger start, they had a stronger all around game. Never throughout the game did I feel Canada was a threat to team USA and they never carried the flow of the game. USA dictated the play the whole time.
god canada loves sniffing their own farts when it comes to hockey. so great to watch tsn start out with so much smug confidence and then watch it slowly fade throughout the game to them trying to find excuses for canada and then the sadness after the loss. amazing...i get off to this shit
Yeah really, and it bleeds into hockey in general. When the Bruins won the Stanley Cup in 2011 Habs fans were like "look how many Canadians were on that team, Americans suck at hockey". Doesn't the US have more Junior gold than Canada does since 2010? It's like when the US got the bronze medal on 2004 in basketball, other countries caught up. You either adapt and evolve or get left behind.

I agree that the Americans where better by a huge amount in the gold medal game but throughout the rest of the tournament Canada played just as well as the USA did, but I agree that the Americans played better in every way during the gold
Bob and the rest of Canada are just mad that they're not on the top of the food chain anymore. The Americans have won more golds than Canada has since The States ended the Canada dynasty in 2010
very rare thing as 'the perfect tournament', if you win your group, quarter and then the semi, in order to win gold, you will have to win 7 games in a row. that is very difficult. you need a 'bad' reset game somewhere in the group.
after every WJC, i have to take a break from any gord miller/ray ferraro content for a year, they are like parrots, repeating the same thing over and over again, and very biased towards certain narrative.
