I’m working on refinishing 100 year old floors in 2 of our houses right now. It’s exhausting! Beautiful job on yours!
Thank you. It is a crap ton of work. It’s definitely easier with bigger equipment but really either way, it’s hard work! Good luck with your floors!
Yep, you stain and seal. That's how dad taught me. Yes, staining, sealing, and then installing the trim is just common sense. You can also try painters tape.
This doesn't work been there done that I used a 1/4 inch nap roller had millions of bubbles which never flowed out .. use a lambs wool pad . You wont see the air bubbles on the video
Glad I found your channel. Nice job
I will be trying this
Your floor looks great! When i tried to use a roller that claimed it was intended for polyurethane, it created bubbles everywhere vs no bubbles with the lambswools. I don’t like the lambswool because it takes too long and it creates cat lick strokes. How did you avoid bubbles from the roller? What specific type of roller did you use?
There's definitely a difference between the floor poly and other poly
Doing 2 bdrm floors now with hubby at 10pm since it’s so fast with the roller! Tomorrow a.m. I’ll do the 2nd coat! Thanks for the awesome roller tip my hubby just said can’t we use a roller and I said let’s yt it and wa la you come up! 🙏🏾
That’s awesome! I’m so glad I was helpful. I feel like I haven’t seen too many ppl saying you can just use a roller but it totally works! I hope it went well.
@@beththebuilder It did and with no lint stuck under the polyurethane and it looks beautiful! What an awesome, super easy idea and tip!
It’s voila, fyi
Looks Wicked Beth 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 awesome job mate 🤟🏼
Thank you Thank you Spike! 👍🏻
What kind of roller brush is that wool?
Hi Beth! You're cute and cool too. Thanks for this video. I'm sealing my kitchen floor today. Wish me well.
Thank you! Good luck! And happy sealing. 😉
myn mom and i are getting ready to do this to her floors inside home! already sent the video for my mom to watch!!
Good luck! I think the hardest part is keeping hair, dust, etc out of it! Especially if you have pets or kids or ya know actually live in your house. 😜 I hope it goes well!
I am not afraid to admit I have no idea what I am doing in regards to staining and sealing my floors.
But my wife thinks I know how. I have to keep up appearances.
Nice job .
Thanks Glen!
your fun to watch. LOL
Thank you
Your awesome 👍
Right like shampoo and conditioner!
Awesome job 👍👍👍
What fluffiness of roller did you use?
I didn’t even know there were different levels of fluffiness for rollers. 😆 So uhhh the normal kind? Medium fluff? What are the different ones used for?
I meant "nap".
Who's here for the trim video?
