The spinal staircase-pathway is absolutely stunning, holy crap. Props for the meat of the layer too, the hands in the guts bring out so much more of a visceral and gorey vibes.

i think its because he knows exactly how to kill everything considering he made the game, so he can just take his time knowing exactly what will happen if that makes sense,, and yeah it looks pretty cool :3
That's what They're coded to do. Punching the drill sends it flying, and if an enemy is in its path, it will damage the enemy until timed out or you fail to punch to another enemy
The way Hakita was walking for the door and smoothly turned as those enemies spawned as in V1 switching priorities to obtain blood was the most realistic you can act as an AI. These dev logs outta be the cannon V1.
I like how the act 1 and prelude levels went from being "random Google and unity assets that I pixelated and added into the game as texture with some shitty lighting" to "Visually stunning and jaw dropping levels on par if not BETTER than some act 2 levels" It's crazy how you went from solo indie dev with practically no push for the game to being the father to one of the hall mark games of the revival of the arena shooter genre.
This next update to come out will be a tremendous update to every facet of the game. Improvements from all around; from the visuals and sounds to the AI and enemies. Outstanding work from all of you!

Gluttony definitely needed a rework like you said in the commentary. The decorative mouths full of eyes and bloody hands really help sell the flesh theme. the flesh textures are animated too which is a nice detail
holy.. the whiplash I got from seeing the new starting room. gluttony is super grotesque now (more than it already was) and i'm all for it. the bone stairs room is so different yet so fitting somehow. (edit: i just noticed the blood and flesh DRIPPING down the walls. the walls are now grossly animated, amazing.)
Love the new starting elevator room! The neon lights finally actually glow, and the new terminal looks really cool too. Hakita, keep cooking, you and your team are one of the best indie devs

I adore how you can see saliva drop down from the ceiling in some rooms. Gluttony in Inferno was described to having cold rain so the saliva can be seen as an interpretation of that rain.
i thought it was blood (to go along with the blood looking substances dripping in the meat wall gif) but that actually fits so much more and makes the environment even grosser to think about
I love how Gluttony has the most changes from its original interpretation in Inferno because nobody understands what the heck Dante meant by having rain be the punishment.

Something about this teaser tells me that this isn't just any teaser, but a grand culmination of everything before the enemy rewrite releases. The new terminal room, the fact that this is where act 1 ends, the genuinely peak quality of this rework, something about those tell me that this teaser may be very special.
I don't know if you're planning to update the eyeballs here, but if you do, it would be a neat detail if their pupils dilated when you're at high style

I tried Ultrakill on "standart" difficulty, and got absolutely minced by Gabriel. Couldn't get through even after a full hour of re-tries. Switched to "harmless". Completed 7-4 just today. Now I'm trying to P-rank everything (yes, still on "harmless" - I want to have fun, not sisyphean punishment). The time and style thresholds for "S" are outrageously tight. I can't imagine how I'll be able to P-rank acts II and III. If only time/style requirements scaled down just a bit on "lenient" and "harmless".
Great job, one suggestion, watch other youtubers speedrun to know how to move quickly and kill efficiently. If you want to test your skills, watch speedrunners, I have implemented some strats from P-2 speedruns for my personal P-rank

Its always a good day when Hakita uploads.
I tried Ultrakill on "standart" difficulty, and got absolutely minced by Gabriel. Couldn't get through even after a full hour of re-tries. Switched to "harmless". Completed 7-4 just today.
Now I'm trying to P-rank everything (yes, still on "harmless" - I want to have fun, not sisyphean punishment). The time and style thresholds for "S" are outrageously tight. I can't imagine how I'll be able to P-rank acts II and III. If only time/style requirements scaled down just a bit on "lenient" and "harmless".
Great job, one suggestion, watch other youtubers speedrun to know how to move quickly and kill efficiently. If you want to test your skills, watch speedrunners, I have implemented some strats from P-2 speedruns for my personal P-rank
