Idk I have fun playing CoD. I started with new mw2 and now that mw3 came to game pass I play it because there is nothing else to play. Back in the day, I only played campaigns and not multiplayer.
I started with the demo for the first call of duty and then got COD 4 in 2009. It was Lit!!! & then I kept getting the other CODs like WaW, MW2, MW3, Black ops, Black Ops 2 etc. These games were sooo much fun!!

As someone who's poured 150 hours on XDefiant, I'd hate you too for being blindly positive about the game. It has a lot of fucking issues and to the dev's credit, they're being extremely communicative regarding how they're gonna deal with it, which is a hell of a lot more credit than I can give to CoD's devs. But we don't need content creators pretending the game is the perfect CoD killer with nothing of note to criticize. If you've been playing arcade shooters for as long as you claim, then you should know what bad hitreg and netcode feels like.
I have 30 ping consistently and rarely have issues personally. Just my experience. It can be improved on for sure but doesn't affect my overall enjoyment of the game.

I don't know about 30 maps for XDefient by next year, but maybe 20. After all, there is barely any recycling. Yes, they are from previous Ubisoft games but bringing that into another type of game is different. I still like this multiplayer more than CODs, for sure. I'm nearly done with my Welcome Playlist trial because I played a bit at launch and started again last week. I noticed that the shotguns are shotguns because before, it took three shots to kill someone. I'm not the best by any means (I'm like 3rd-6th best in the lobby or 1st-4th best in the team). They need to add the weird stuff, not cosmetic, like more melee weapons, maybe bows, crossbows, stuff that's not typical guns, but can be used. Another add would be a free-for-all, as I haven't seen that yet, but it would help everyone for kills, attachment unlocks, and the painful camo grind. I haven't said custom games yet because they are adding it apparently. Great game, unlike soon-to-be failure Black Ops 6 (six) reasons to not trust Activision
Game developers have never heard of the streisand effect. The more you try to surpress something, the more attention it gets. Personally, i think COD needs all the publicity it can get given the stiff competition and if ever there was a time for them to get feedback, its right now because they have time to make real changes. Im sure they would say "thats what the beta is for" but lets keep it real, COD betas are nothing more than glorified advertising demos of the final game.

Modern CoD is well known for it's absolutely massive collaborative efforts between all studios (why the games are made in the unified engine/cod HQ, activation has admitted this themselves). 3,000 people worked on MW3. 3k. less than 300 worked on Bo2, in less time. Mw3 was spearheaded by sledgehammer games, but 100% controlled by Activision. SHG wanted to make AW2? Wasn't gonna happen. They were forced into this game. They worked with every single dev studio thruout release. 3arc, raven, infinity ward. Again, 3,000 PEOPLE worked on that mediocre, soulless excuse of a CoD title made by blue haired bimbos and soy drinkers. This game's leaks weren't "pre alpha", they're alpha, and likely going to be very similar in beta. The biggest cope in the gaming industry when it comes to AAA games ran by trillion dollar corporations is that they're going to listen to feedback enough to actually change the game in meaningful ways before release. Its happened time and time and time again and it never changes. This game isn't made by the same 3arc that made the classics. Not by a longshot. I'd say less than 5% of Bo1-2-3 devs are apart of this project. This isn't even made by the same people who made CW (mind you, cold war was built mainly by SHG and then taken over by 3arc). 3,000 people is too much to have working on one game, sorry to say it. There is a hidden trend in gaming when it comes to making great games. Many youtubers don't talk about it. The overwhelming majority of "great" games, praised by millions, were made by less than 500 people, with a median range of about 300. CoD golden era? 100-350 people per game, all different. Minecraft - 1 guy, then a few guys, then a few hundred, then a thousand. notice how minecraft gets flack for adding stupid content that goes against the games core values nowadays. Didn't happen pre-Microsoft. Stardew Valley- one guy Elden Ring- 300 people Deep Rock Galactic (known for having the best microtransactions)- 30 people Helldivers 2 - 100 people Fallout series- around 100 people up to fallout 4, no more than 500 proceeding The only exceptions to this rule in my experience are Rockstar games with titles such as GTA 5 and Red Dead 2, totaling around 1,000 devs. Only difference is that these games were truly massive and well-directed (another interesting side note, all of these amazing games were made by mostly men, or only men, for men. Just throwing it out there.) With this information, I can safely say that Bo6, the game made by 2,000 people and 1,000 non-binaries, overseen by Microsoft and Activision, two trillion dollar companies who care little to nothing about making a fun or unique experience who just want to drive retention up and take all of your money, will be DOGSHIT.
In fairness the leaked build only had a couple maps on it, and we know way more of coming based off other leaks & common sense. So it definently is an outdated build, but fingers crossed its improved

You are the main reason I started playing myself, hadn't heard of it before. I played MW2 Remake quite a bit, but stayed away from MW3 when they back pedalled on skipping a year for the release. I recently tried it on Gamepass and in two matches I experienced nearly every bad thing I've heard about the multiplayer. Decided "screw this" and went into the zombie mode. It's decent, but it won't last long for me. So then I decided to give XDefiant a spin. I LOVE how it feels. It reminds me of how The Conduit on the Wii used to be. Little bit longer time to kill, connection based matching so I would see some of the same people and get used to how they play, and you vote on the next map. And despite not having a kill cam I understood how nearly every death happened, unlike COD where I'm just suddenly dead half the time. I haven't played many FPS games recently, so I'm awful at the game. But I'm getting better (double barrel is my jam) and, more importantly, I'm having fun and actually WANT to play more XDefiant.
I would be happy to just watch XDefiant content, also I love that I am not the only AA12 player. P.S. I have been subscribed since cod 4 when you were obsessed with the 74u, I am so happy ubisoft has given us a game to enjoy at an older age that still feels like an old school COD

I canceled my preorder. Once they crashed Game Battles. Competitive COD has been completely dead! There is no punishment for cheaters on Warzone. Make a new account! LOL I see cheaters run the Top 250 lobbies in Ranked Play. They nuked their own game without realizing it. Every season has a new OP weapon that literally ruins the competitiveness of their game. Instead of listening to us they do their own thing and punish those who want a fair boots on ground game with normal guns and nades against players who are not complete Dumpsters. SBMM never puts me in a lobby where I am like damn Optic Scumpii is here. Back in gamebattles I got to play them. That will never happen again.
I went back and fired up MW19 for the first time in a few years, just to get a fresh look at it after playing a ton of BF4, and I noticed a few things almost immediately. 1. The movement, weapon mounting, and doors make multiplayer horribly inconsistent, especially if there's an asshole on the other team who actually bothers to close those doors. 2. Those same qualities make _way_ more sense in the campaign, which itself held up remarkably well. 3. Weapon customization was still somewhat complex, but it wasn't anything like the bloated nightmare of MWII and MWIII, and it was actually possible to make 'clone' weapons work to some degree. A Mk.18 build, for example, absolutely shreds in CQC while still having enough mid-range capability to keep SMGs at an arm's length. And finally: 4. Aggressive SBMM is the root of all evil. Jumping back to BF4 after an hour of MW19 felt like getting let out of prison, and I performed much better overall without feeling like I was kicking puppies. Turns out a good connection makes punishing mistakes much easier for less skilled players, because it means their bullets don't get eaten by ping while you desperately scramble for cover.
I main semi autos and burst weapons in bo2, bo3, and bo4. I wanted to do something difficult and got good especially with gaining a trigger finger with pistols. After getting daimond pistols in bo4 i was excited for coldwar and then i realized i wasted my money. The bugs, the cracked sbmm, the rat style of play of pre aiming everything 24/7, broke me. I haven't bought cod since. I do have the game pass so i dont need to waste 70 bucks on a game i expect to be broken on release.

I don't know about 30 maps for XDefient by next year, but maybe 20. After all, there is barely any recycling. Yes, they are from previous Ubisoft games but bringing that into another type of game is different. I still like this multiplayer more than CODs, for sure. I'm nearly done with my Welcome Playlist trial because I played a bit at launch and started again last week. I noticed that the shotguns are shotguns because before, it took three shots to kill someone. I'm not the best by any means (I'm like 3rd-6th best in the lobby or 1st-4th best in the team). They need to add the weird stuff, not cosmetic, like more melee weapons, maybe bows, crossbows, stuff that's not typical guns, but can be used. Another add would be a free-for-all, as I haven't seen that yet, but it would help everyone for kills, attachment unlocks, and the painful camo grind. I haven't said custom games yet because they are adding it apparently.

Game developers have never heard of the streisand effect. The more you try to surpress something, the more attention it gets. Personally, i think COD needs all the publicity it can get given the stiff competition and if ever there was a time for them to get feedback, its right now because they have time to make real changes. Im sure they would say "thats what the beta is for" but lets keep it real, COD betas are nothing more than glorified advertising demos of the final game.

They’re other channels Activision could’ve flagged that also had the same opinion as BT, but only flagged BT. Activision seems to believe that BT is the only critic to criticize Call of Duty. 3,000 people worked on MW3. 3k. less than 300 worked on Bo2, in less time. Mw3 was spearheaded by sledgehammer games, but 100% controlled by Activision. SHG wanted to make AW2? Wasn't gonna happen. They were forced into this game. They worked with every single dev studio thruout release. 3arc, raven, infinity ward. Again, 3,000 PEOPLE worked on that mediocre, soulless excuse of a CoD title made by blue haired bimbos and soy drinkers.
This game's leaks weren't "pre alpha", they're alpha, and likely going to be very similar in beta. The biggest cope in the gaming industry when it comes to AAA games ran by trillion dollar corporations is that they're going to listen to feedback enough to actually change the game in meaningful ways before release. Its happened time and time and time again and it never changes.
This game isn't made by the same 3arc that made the classics. Not by a longshot. I'd say less than 5% of Bo1-2-3 devs are apart of this project. This isn't even made by the same people who made CW (mind you, cold war was built mainly by SHG and then taken over by 3arc).
3,000 people is too much to have working on one game, sorry to say it. There is a hidden trend in gaming when it comes to making great games. Many youtubers don't talk about it. The overwhelming majority of "great" games, praised by millions, were made by less than 500 people, with a median range of about 300.
CoD golden era? 100-350 people per game, all different.
Minecraft - 1 guy, then a few guys, then a few hundred, then a thousand. notice how minecraft gets flack for adding stupid content that goes against the games core values nowadays. Didn't happen pre-Microsoft.

The only exceptions to this rule in my experience are Rockstar games with titles such as GTA 5 and Red Dead 2, totaling around 1,000 devs. Only difference is that these games were truly massive and well-directed (another interesting side note, all of these amazing games were made by mostly men, or only men, for men. Just throwing it out there.)
With this information, I can safely say that Bo6, the game made by 2,000 people and 1,000 non-binaries, overseen by Microsoft and Activision, two trillion dollar companies who care little to nothing about making a fun or unique experience who just want to drive retention up and take all of your money, will be DOGSHIT.

In fairness the leaked build only had a couple maps on it, and we know way more of coming based off other leaks & common sense. So it definently is an outdated build, but fingers crossed its improved

I'd like to thank you for talking about XDefiant. You are the main reason I started playing myself, hadn't heard of it before. I played MW2 Remake quite a bit, but stayed away from MW3 when they back pedalled on skipping a year for the release. I recently tried it on Gamepass and in two matches I experienced nearly every bad thing I've heard about the multiplayer. Decided "screw this" and went into the zombie mode. It's decent, but it won't last long for me.
So then I decided to give XDefiant a spin. I LOVE how it feels. It reminds me of how The Conduit on the Wii used to be. Little bit longer time to kill, connection based matching so I would see some of the same people and get used to how they play, and you vote on the next map. And despite not having a kill cam I understood how nearly every death happened, unlike COD where I'm just suddenly dead half the time.
I haven't played many FPS games recently, so I'm awful at the game. But I'm getting better (double barrel is my jam) and, more importantly, I'm having fun and actually WANT to play more XDefiant.

I canceled my preorder. Once they crashed Game Battles. Competitive COD has been completely dead! There is no punishment for cheaters on Warzone. Make a new account! LOL I see cheaters run the Top 250 lobbies in Ranked Play. They nuked their own game without realizing it. Every season has a new OP weapon that literally ruins the competitiveness of their game. Instead of listening to us they do their own thing and punish those who want a fair boots on ground game with normal guns and nades against players who are not complete Dumpsters. SBMM never puts me in a lobby where I am like damn Optic Scumpii is here. Back in gamebattles I got to play them. That will never happen again.
I went back and fired up MW19 for the first time in a few years, just to get a fresh look at it after playing a ton of BF4, and I noticed a few things almost immediately.
1. The movement, weapon mounting, and doors make multiplayer horribly inconsistent, especially if there's an asshole on the other team who actually bothers to close those doors.
2. Those same qualities make _way_ more sense in the campaign, which itself held up remarkably well.
3. Weapon customization was still somewhat complex, but it wasn't anything like the bloated nightmare of MWII and MWIII, and it was actually possible to make 'clone' weapons work to some degree. A Mk.18 build, for example, absolutely shreds in CQC while still having enough mid-range capability to keep SMGs at an arm's length.
And finally:
4. Aggressive SBMM is the root of all evil. Jumping back to BF4 after an hour of MW19 felt like getting let out of prison, and I performed much better overall without feeling like I was kicking puppies. Turns out a good connection makes punishing mistakes much easier for less skilled players, because it means their bullets don't get eaten by ping while you desperately scramble for cover.
Keep the pressure BT. Keep cooking them.

I main semi autos and burst weapons in bo2, bo3, and bo4. I wanted to do something difficult and got good especially with gaining a trigger finger with pistols.
After getting daimond pistols in bo4 i was excited for coldwar and then i realized i wasted my money. The bugs, the cracked sbmm, the rat style of play of pre aiming everything 24/7, broke me. I haven't bought cod since.
I do have the game pass so i dont need to waste 70 bucks on a game i expect to be broken on release.
They did a study when people were quitting playing later in the life of the game. Not right away when you have the highest player count
